We're Canadians, that's why! If it's your first time getting arrested for something, and if it isn't that big of a deal, most of the time the officer will go easy on you! Like, there was a new law that you had to get in the second line if there is a police car on the right side of the road. I didn't knew about that law back then, got stopped by an officer, got told what I did wrong, he checked my records, then let me go with only a warning!

I mean, to be fair, going too fast is more likely too kill someone than a mugging, and cause more trouble, such as blocking the road, having to call ambulance, blocking it more, ect. and the fact that this is in a school zone. I'd say it's fair that they focus more on it. Altho the 1 hour for them to arrive is still bullshit.
Most are those officers are just traffic officers, meaning they aren't higher up to be able to respond to a mugging call. Officers are limited and have to respond to many false reports

I know right. I have to take the bus on Queen St (which is one of the busiest streets in Toronto) to go to school. The bus is always extremely crowded and it takes so looooooooooong! 😥
I got my first ticket coming home from work and accidentally driving 10 over in a school zone. What bothers me is that it was literally midnight and I was out of the school zone. The cop followed me from work because I was "suspicious" coming out of a parking lot late at night, and instead of using a speed gun or something she drove right up my tailpipe with the "match their speed to see how fast they're going" method. Because it was dark I didn't see a cop car, just a pair of headlights directly behind my bumper, so naturally I drove a bit faster because I was scared they were trying to hit me or something. She didn't turn on her police lights until I was *in* the school zone. I'm only okay with all of this because of the policy that allows us to take an online driving course to waive our first ticket of the year.

You gotta be careful with out of state tags, the cops in some places are super aggressive on out of state cars because if they’re travelers they don’t show up to court dates to fight bs charges.

You gotta be careful with out of state tags, the cops in some places are super aggressive on out of state cars because if they’re travelers they don’t show up to court dates to fight bs charges.
