"If it will fit on the road, we can haul the load!" _Careful_ surveying is required of every foot of the route, with things like road size, turning radius, and overpasses factored in. There are specialist outfits getting paid big bucks because they _can_ do this.
@redheadedduckhunter This is the Bucket Wheel reclaimer that pick up the ore from Stock piles and loads it on to convoyers that either feed Ships or Train
Hello perthmcaleese, one hell of a load there! I am absolutely fascinated by the moving of huge loads and mining machine from the broken down state, that is dissembled, and how it gets to and is used the other end. Often Mining Machines have nothing to judge their size when 'at work' in the usual off road Mine, but seeing them and loads like this 'out-of-context' and one can see just how gigantic they are. Hey, Take care and many thanks for the upload OK? mrbluenun
Have been touring about NSW and Victoria the last 2 weeks and the trucks are awesome..shame I didnt get to Queensland or WA to see the right big stuff though.
In 2008 about 30 000 Euro were stolen from my acount. The tax bureau Pforzheim / Neuenbürg, Germany, accepted this money as the property of the thief, without even demanding an income or gift tax. My complaints were ignored claiming fiscal secret. I am aware of large scale tax fraud in the area of Pforzheim. With my experience how German tax bureaus handle stolen property, I believe that this was done in collaboration with the tax bureau Pforzheim as well. In exchange for certain "services".
. Its not cheap, but this was just the move from the build yard to the port. This weekend we move it from the laydown to the vessel side and then it will shipped to port hedland in the north west of Western Australia. Then we take if off the boat and carry it 500km inland to the mine site. But all this transport is a lot cheaper and easier to do this than trying to make it on site.
@Boronin100 Yes well i would differ, we have had more issue with the new Tri drive Mack than the Kenworth. They just dont make them strong enough and solid enough these days. For what you pay you dont really get value for money and the customer service is not 100% for the dollars spent
Regardless of how obvious the size of the load, the signs and strobes always have to be there. For something of this size, a police escort leads the forward pilot vehicle. It's not so much "make room for it to pass," more like "GET OFF THE ROAD!" I work as a longhaul driver, and a convoy of loads like this can really mess with your day if you're in a hurry. To their credit the pilots do their best to keep the disruption to a minimum.
Normal MC is fine, but it takes many years to move into one of these units, Your really have to start on the smaller low loaders and floats before you move onto platforms.
Israel Tesoro It's the 'bucket wheel' and 'boom' of a bucket-wheel excavator used in open-pit mining. You can mine just about anything in Australia and the machines are enormous.
That's the "final warning;" with something this big, first you see a police car with its lights flashing. Then you see a pilot vehicle with its orange lights flashing. Behind the load is another pilot vehicle. Unfortunately some city drivers just can't take a hint
@landscaperable This job Started late last year and has had work spent on it since then. then in the last 2 months all the set up of permits, Power service shut downs, road works, and all equipment sets ups started. Lots of engineering drawings and calculations for the final weights. 2 days to load and then its all over in one day. The drivers are long timers with many years experience starting with small over size loads and moving you to this type of cargo
Hi there Scotty , hows all going ? when you get 5 minutes take a quick look at "Talbots Pilot and Escort "on face book or you can google it , got the photos of your new extendables to Jimblebar ,October/ November 2012 ,looking forward to hearing from you.
wow these trucks must truely go thru hell hauling such big loads all the time. and id hate to imagine the fuel bill. what sort of licence do you need for this. just a normal mc licence or something a bit more special.
Good thing there was a 'WIDE LOAD' sign on the bumper. I'm not sure anyone would've noticed without it.

That machine is massive. Thanks for the upload.
I had a Mack Superliner with the Mack extended range 12 speed worked great with the bull low gear.
Now that's some load! Not the longest but very tall and wide with the gantry's on the side. Great driving.
Nice Mack. Any idea what Mack is using inside there triple frames now a days. Didn't they use gear at one point.

I'll bet Amazon regrets offering free shipping for Chuck Norris's unicycle.
Good one
"Uh, boss, I think we went the wrong way, we gotta turn this thing around"
Just wondering, I am assuming this is the 'bare-bones' of a Bucket-Wheel-Earth-Mover which includes part of the conveyer bet, is that right?

mrbluenun
It's out of Perth. McAleese is all over the country. Dad worked for them up in Mackay (sugar trucks and other stuff).
Is this for a wheel excavator?
@mrbluenun There will be more once we have shipped them to Port Hedland and then take them 300km inland around April next year
Keith Price should be proud of what he's achieved with this company
Aussies getting it done. I’ve never seen something that big on the streets in the US.
Greetings from the USA. Awesome move guys. Great video.

so what exactly is the truck transporting?

@mrbluenun Yes this is the Main Bucket wheel arm less the buckets and the Belts
WOW. That driver earned his pay for the year! Great work!!!!
Some prat in a Honda would still pull out in front of it and say they didn't see it...
0:20 well that escalated quickly
chapeau pour le chauffeur salutations depuis la suisse claudo
Hi
And many thanks for this upload.
Great video thanks for sharing this
Normal MC is fine, but it takes many years to move into one of these units, Your really have to start on the smaller low loaders and floats before you move onto platforms.
Love the "OVER SIZE" load sign on the front bumper. Ya think?
Oversize is a bit of an understatement!
Is that a boom for a crane?
Where they on smoko or lunch?
Or did you mean brakes?
you can always tell when it Australia with those big aluminum bumpers.......accent helps too.
What's the name of this machine?is it just a pieces of a much bigger equipment?
Israel Tesoro It's the 'bucket wheel' and 'boom' of a bucket-wheel excavator used in open-pit mining. You can mine just about anything in Australia and the machines are enormous.
Rob Fraser tnx sir for the info. Wow.
not surprisingly its a MACK. what kind of weight?
Yep thats right is for Krupp but made in Perth WA for them
amazing bit of kit!!! Thanks for this, but next time (!!) can you move to the other side of that black stick? gets on my nerves... ;-)
Holy Shit!! Just think, this is only one piece of the complete machine. This must cost millions just to move and re-assemble at the new site.

Its actually a Mack Box with a low 1st seems to work alright
Holy shit! That thing is massive!
imagine driving through a toll **Ladie in booth- ok so you have 476 axles that will be $32,986 Driver- '________________'.
wat the heck i just say...... superb
i THINK IT IS FRIGGIN GREAT
Transporting the world's largest pizza cutter
Lol, i like how they expect people to see those oversized load signs first
Hi there Scotty , hows all going ? when you get 5 minutes take a quick look at "Talbots Pilot and Escort "on face book or you can google it , got the photos of your new extendables to Jimblebar ,October/ November 2012 ,looking forward to hearing from you.
Chuck Norris would have drifted around that corner!!!! :-)
tire pops
i wounder what would happen if it did
So 2700nm @ 1100rpm for a 16L v8 Scania wouldn't cut it hey? That's stock as a rock BTW.
In England some unemployed shit would have smashed glass all over the road and burst all 100 million tyres! Great vid :)
With all the axles having breaks its all good no problem!
1.2 miles to the gallon...
These have the Mack Box in them, its got a really low first
LMFAO Otacatapeptl. I drive a commercial vehicle for a living, and that's exactly what would happen.
I was looking at cars drifting......how the fuck did I end up here ??
I say the mate driving that rigs know what he doing and I wonder if when he get where he going if he will have and pads left on his bakes.
Exhaust and jake brakes do most of the work.
NICE doggie in the lead!
Just in case you need to drive through a 10 foot deep river....
GOOD my pizza cutters here
Remember kids, dont try this at home :D
Nice German accent.
Omg why could they just break the machine thing in pieces then ship them away faster on truck
do they really need the oversize load sign? i couldnt see the giant oversized circus equipment turning the cornerthere
Bugger off!
"Oversize"? No shit! Let's get it out on the freeway and see what she'll do. Got the strobes going just so you'll notice that giant load.
Now that's what you call pulling the load!
Why didn't they just have that thing in smaller pieces
the crane in the shed that loaded it was bigger!
i think were gonna need a bigger boat
wow these trucks must truely go thru hell hauling such big loads all the time. and id hate to imagine the fuel bill. what sort of licence do you need for this. just a normal mc licence or something a bit more special.
wow
If you think this excavator arm is impressive, search for "bagger 288".
bit of tree pruning going on here!!!!
It's brakes, not breaks
que loucuraaaaa meu
@MrDylanfisher
