1- Crawlers can break the road. 2- The road isn´t wide enough. 3- Borders of the road could collapse using crawler. 4- Better spreading of ground pressure by means of wheels. 5- Better tracing of curves of the road with SPMT. 6- "Very fast" speed by wheels compared to crawlers. 7- Suspensions of SPMT can negociate changes of slopes. 8- Many others (top secret ;-D) Thanks for your questions.
NASA used 4 of those blue tracked vehicles (without the crane assembly on top) as "pivot wheels" under the vehicle that transported shuttles from the assembly building to the launch posts
here in saudi arabia we hav alot of projects here using that type of crane like lifting 230 ton vessel with 26 meter radius,is a piece a cake for that crane
they use them in mines mainly. they rarely move from 1 mine to another and if they are moving a long distance they pull them apart into more manageable pieces
The crane has auxiliary legs with jacks and the trailer can go up and down hydraulically too. Using both of them, the trailer can by positioned under the crane.
@briansarty It's called jack and roll. The trailer is put under the lift at its lowest setting then lifted by way of mant hydraulic jacks at the wheels to lift the piece off of the ground. If you google "jack and lift" you will see better explanations. Many companys accomplish this.
Really wished you showed more of the actual crane (even better would be whilst in operation) ..but atleast you a) did list manufacturer and model and b) weren't doing the simulated-earthquake *shaking* and *flailing about* with the camera all over the place, like so many other uploaders of vids do, thanks for that Love
@lupo0144 We need to contact with liebherr to do certificates in wich they said that the crane can lift up to 1400 tonnes (in special weather and movement conditions) and change some things in the liccon software of the crane (by liebherr engineers, of course).
Looking how high she is riding on the SPMT they must have lifted in more than one stage! So its a lift and block the crane up on the tracks. Lower the SPMT and blocked it and lifted again! The crane is a Liebherr LR 11350! max. lifting capacity 1,350 t at 12 m max. load moment 22,748 tm Main boom 30 m - 150 m Lattice jib 12 m - 114 m Derrick mast 42 m Superstructure-/central ballast 340 t/30 t Derrick ballast 660 t Engine output 641 kW Travel speed 0 - 1.08 km/h Total counterweight 990 t
@oluislopes2 Ha,ha. Yes, your right. It is like a gigant vacuum cleaner but more loudness and with more bass. The most important sounds in the engines are the fans of oil intercoolers.
If the transport were done directly with the crawler of the crane, road will be destroyed (for the pressures OF the crawlers versus presure of the wheels of the SPMT). Another question is the low speed of the crawler and the comsuption of fuel is higer and the bad steering of the crane instead of the selfpropelled modular transporter with all steering wheels (360º). It turns on a dime. Without the SPMT, the crane must be dismantled for change the job site. Greetings.
one question...... lol How exactly did they get that thing on and off it's ride? i would think just lower it but it don't look like it would drop that low. i'd rly like to see it being offloaded... and in timelapes lol.. awesome crane.. thx for the upload :)
Man: i just have to drive this crane 30 miles up the road and i will be home darling. Women: i will leave your dinner in the microwave. Man: Dont wait up my love =)
what was the transporting weight here in this video.amazing that you have thsi crane moved in elected condition. and that liebherr gave the ok for 1400to lift!! very impressive !!!!!!
@briansarty We are going to take in to account next time. Thanks. The crane has four hydraulic jacks and the trailer was self positioned under it. Bye.
I like your SPMT..is that gold hofer? Why not disassemble the crane?I think the track shoe is only a 110ton much easier if you load it in 12 lines hydraulic trailer it can travel fast
@omgitschrislol The crane is too big and heavy to drive herself with curves, slopes, bridges, etc. The load per axle is lower using SPMT than the very high load from crawler. The road can be damaged with metalic crawlers instead of rubber wheels. Bye.
so... why not just move the crane using its inbuilt transport system "tracks"? is it cause the crane uses too much fuel and thus is expensive? so this is the alternative way?
@rxhxtx what do you want to say with this???????for reconstruct the land???would be difficult to find a road without bridges and anything else wich can bear this at minimum 500to. transport
The production value here is just insane. Great work!
@lupo0144
Yeah! You are an expert!
Only one things: We re-rated this crane up to 1,400 tonnes in order to do one special job.
8- Many others (top secret ;-D)
Thanks for your questions.
That's some groovy music, especially that clicking sound in the background. LOL :)
That is impressive, I have seen one of these cranes at the Ehingen factory and they are BIG!
NASA used 4 of those blue tracked vehicles (without the crane assembly on top) as "pivot wheels" under the vehicle that transported shuttles from the assembly building to the launch posts
@odmcarp
Crane: Liebherr LR 11350
Trailer: Selfpropelled Modular Transporter Scheuerle with 2 x 475 CV powerpack (700kW).

Omg this crane is enormous! Great upload!
Kinda reminds me of the crawler that moves the shuttle to the launch site.
Probably at LEAST 3 days, and that's with having a couple bloke to help him too!
Very impressive !

I have one in my garage.It is a four-seater!
Beautiful, I own a small crane truck, NOTHING LIKE THIS, I WISH COOL vid ty

@ALTONSAED .......Sweet man! At DIN its only 75% of Maximum! She'll kill it!
Men have finally done it: Machines bigger than dinosaurs!
chuck norris used to play with these toys when he was still in pampers, or more like when pampers were on him O.O
@lupo0144

@Lcguy87 Hi. The configuration was two 500Hp powerpacks that fed the hydraulics engines.
@ALTONSAED Ok! The next time you load it with the original sound, because whoever searches for other music videos. A hug.
Sometimes. This one was inside a refinery, but sometimes we need to do transports over public roads.
All that tires are more expensive than my car

@oluislopes2
Ha,ha. Yes, your right.

Chuck Norris could've pulled it a lot faster :)
If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits eighty-eight miles per hour... you're gonna see some serious shit.
If the transport were done directly with the crawler of the crane, road will be destroyed (for the pressures OF the crawlers versus presure of the wheels of the SPMT). Big Boy!!!! Nice upload
Love the music.
@travis199urkul A Liebherr LR11350 travels at 1kph. It would take forever to get it from point A to point B. The SPMT modules are much faster.
es imprecionante como transportan este equipo tan pesado
Apparently Captain Obvious hasn't met General Sarcasm...
@briansarty We are going to take in to account next time. Thanks. The crane has four hydraulic jacks and the trailer was self positioned under it. Bye.
Good answers Enrique !
this is a big crane!
10 tons each. One axle is 4 wheels and 40 tons.
@putahan2001 In this manouvre we used 96 wheels, but we use 266 wheels one time in the past.
I like your SPMT..is that gold hofer?
Why not disassemble the crane?I think the track shoe is only a 110ton much easier if you load it in 12 lines hydraulic trailer it can travel fast
Every time I look at big machines I think what if it were a transformer ?_?
@CB4everify Now it is what I will think of whenever I see a monstrous machine.
@ALTONSAED nice song
OMG, the best !!
so there was an overcharge of nearly 45% on every wheel?
are that the same tires as get used on forklifts or is there "anything" special?
good job
I wonder how they can get this gigantic machine to the jobsite from it's factory
il bello è capire come lo hanno caricato...
That's nothing. You should see the size of the crane that lifted that on ON to the mover!
You can also download PDF, from (google it): "havator big moves".
1600 ton maybe their record.
look at the size of that crane whooa
bucket wheel excavator is bigger than everything so far...
What is 1400 tonnes?
Is it the weight of the crane or the weight that the crane can lift?
@SquirrelFromGradLife Ja,ja,ja X-D
Did they have to pave the road just to move the crane?
Imagine that mover breaks down in the middle of the journey, how could they look for a replacement or even move the load to the replacement mover?
Enzo20061234 dyei
awesome
Good LOAD!
@omgitschrislol

Bye.
Maybe Im wrng but in my opinion, anything that requires that thing, should not built in the first place.
@ALTONSAED No! I prefer the sound of machine motor
That's what they use to lift Oprah Winfrey on the sage
I think they moved the bed under the machine and lifted it
The REAL question here that everyone wants to know is.... Will it blend?
@ALTONSAED Thats reasonable i didnt think of that.
Ok. Look for this "320 ton transformel haul Havator"
so... why not just move the crane using its inbuilt transport system "tracks"? is it cause the crane uses too much fuel and thus is expensive? so this is the alternative way?
On it's way to cross Golden Gate Bridge (alone of course) lol
SALUDO DEDES TABASCO MEXICO
Head start aching...
ماشاء الله تبارك الله
@ALTONSAED i would've just turn the key and there you go, lift 1400 tons :P
there are stones in Giza twice the weight...)))
@madmatt784 Belive me: This is the easy way and, more important, the cheapest way (in this occassion, of course).
this size crane moves around alot or do they stay on a job for ever lol
That's the lazy way to move it haha. Still, most likely the quickest way.
Silly question but... That is on tracks.. Why not just drive it with the tracks?
screw it just drive the dam thing. have some fun
Did you use public roads?
it's faster than my car
How much weight can handle a single wheel? Maximum capacity?
amazing...
!!!
@rxhxtx what do you want to say with this???????for reconstruct the land???would be difficult to find a road without bridges and anything else wich can bear this at minimum 500to. transport
how many wheels does that beast have?
Thats fuckin' scary dude.
Was used it in C-10 project. You can see two videos of this project on my channel
amazing
Pinche maquinon awesome
imagine taking his test
How many miles to the gallon does it get?
devinc.You have omitted Justin Bieber!
@ALTONSAED ....How did you re-rate her?
would it not be faster to let it walk on its own?
