I would not repaint it. The color is already unique and amazing. You don't see very many 720S's with that color, and it already matches the interior. I would consider doing a tinted ghosted stripe or two down the entire top of the car.
I love the current color! Matches perfectly with everything else. But, if you're going to respray it - why not metallic teal with exposed carbon and white pin-stripes? :)
Have a word with the DDE lads. They had an unfortunate incident with the inherit weakness of the engine in their 720 (but then am sure you have already seen their videos). They could give you some incredibly valuable advice that may save a small fortune... Looking forward to following the build!
I second this, I hope he takes into consideration that there's some weak factory parts under the hood of the 720 that can't keep up with 1kHP. Also would be isane if he did a collab with DDE 😍😍😍
@Ally Cannon DDE and JWW in Dubai and then JWW on Rodeo Drive running from officer Pena in both their 720s! Back to reality though I think our biggest chance to the see them together is gonna be on gumball.
Hey J, I hope you take into consideration that the 720 has some weak components that can't keep up with 1khp. As a few have already said you could check out DDE or maybe even reach out to them for advice on the build. Their video "REVEALING WHY MY MCLAREN 720 GTR CAUGHT FIRE" at 8:23 has a small explanation of why you shouldn't depend on stock 720 blocks. Excited for the build regardless!!!
Dayglo lemon with the exposed carbon and lemon yellow accents on the side. Yes that would stand out. That exhaust is art.... just buy another and place it on your wall. BRAVO JAMES
This is gonna be SICK! I am the biggest fan of the looks of the 765 and the 675 is the craziest driving. I'll never forget your video about it! Can't wait to see this, and the GT3 too! What about the HQ in Dubai? Any updates on what that's looking like?
After the yellow Yaris and the bright blue Porsche, it's time to go nuts. Bright red or orange with lime or neon green stripes. Not too much green, but subtle for accentuating the lines. Then some pure carbon parts. But not too much. This would be awesome
Signal Orange would look amazing I know not a Mclaren colour but on that body with it contrasting against the exposed carbon very nice Diablo SC 30 Verde HiKers would look crazy can't wait to see what you do with this mate that exhaust is insane!
@@nathanthomson777 He is, by asking a question. I know this concept may be mind-blowing, but you can actually crowdsource information. Hope you learned something today, because if you don't learn something new every day...why are you even alive?
I reckon it should add some downforce. Bigger splitter, wing, and diffusor, as well as fender louvres. So should be more downforce, and less lift at the front axle at higher speeds, as well as the bigger wing act as a bigger airbrake, so it should increase the car handling by a bit, but no idea by how much though.
The hood would look sick tinted carbon with paint striping on the edges of the center piece! Current color is already so beautiful though, will be interesting to see some color renders to see options
All satin white pearl, with the exposed gloss carbon and wheels in silver gunmetal. Inside, I only changed the steering wheel from borbeux to red like everything else.
I would go for a deep green which fades along the car. A bit like the burgundy is on the car at the moment. Keep the wheels gold. As for the power upgrade have a chat with Danon from DDE on his and the problems he has had.
Three layer British Racing Green, leave the gold wheels, yellow calipers, yellow interior details. Its a beautiful piece of British engineering, it should be celebrated as such.
frozen white colour with darkblue details or the carbon details in darkblue and keep the gold pinstripe on the side with the golden wheels and navy alcantara interior would look meeega.
The engine may need a bit of reworking if you're gonna do 1000bph. DDEs 720s engine blew after it got twin turbo. factory pistons will ben under the pressure and shoot out the engine.
DDE do all rushed and sell, thats why nothing works for them plus they throw in anything this is diferent when theya re domingo everything with proven parta
It seems a waste to me, put the carbon parts on and leave them as they are, I honestly don't see the point in re-spraying the car as it's a unique spec anyway. Sorry.
As a former 720S owner, I just can't think of a reason why he'd change anything on the body kit of the car. Novitec is as extreme as I'd ever go. As my 3 year old says.... "Yucky". In relation to the sound, okay. I get it. But a turbo-ed car is always going to sound like a loud vacuum cleaner. If you want sound, why not just buy back your old F12.
In regards to turbo-ed cars apparently always sounding like vacuum cleaners, you couldn't be any further from the truth if you tried lol there's an innumerable amount of ways wherein you can bring out the tone of the engine while simultaneously making it sound less "vacuum cleaner ish" (from the forced induction) so to speak, which plenty of well-known people in the automotive community have already managed to do. E.g. by increasing the compression ratio from say 9:1 (which the gt2rs has) to say 13:1
Instead of a 'line' of exposed carbon, leave an exposed JWW somewhere that it suits, quarter panel, bonnet, boot etc, be cool to almost have your 'stamp' on it!
Agreed. He likes to go cross-country and on International tours, he's going to eventually throw a rod with that kind of power. The stock turbos are capable of overpowering the motor, I would not go above 800 rwhp.
I really like the current colour, however with all the changes for me personally i'd have it all black, keeping all the carbon exposed. If you have to go an actual colour then what about Mclaren papaya like the race team. Or even the gulf colour scheme with papaya and the baby blue.
The color and the matching wheel, I like it, I wouldn’t change that
yes XD
i love the current colour so much, would look amazing with carbon accents like the diffuser, canards, etc
Same. This color hides the ugly headlights very well
I would not repaint it. The color is already unique and amazing. You don't see very many 720S's with that color, and it already matches the interior. I would consider doing a tinted ghosted stripe or two down the entire top of the car.

Dark green with a diamond dust flake. That would look amazing
Sounds nice. Always had a thing for dark green on some cars.
I love the current color so not to happy about the color change. However the other upgrades are going to be awesome!

In "change the colour", do you mean a wrap. The colour as it is, 'magnificent'
he's talking about triple layer paint here so i guess not. a bit of a shame to be done to a velocity but itll be all the more special for it
@@Marz2695 it’ll be peelable like the 911 probably
If he's near Topaz they offer a peelable paint so we'll see
This colour is already amazing
I would not repaint mso
The current colour is already so beautiful imo, don't change it unless you have the most crazy paint idea
Agree with a lot of comments below that you shouldn’t re-paint this car, it already an extremely special job be a shame to get rid of it
I hope the recolor is worth it because its beautiful as of now
Dayglo lemon with the exposed carbon and lemon yellow accents on the side. Yes that would stand out. That exhaust is art.... just buy another and place it on your wall. BRAVO JAMES
Sounds great!
That's going to be the meanest McLaren on the block I cannot wait to see this monster when it's finished
See dde's
Full send? Then riff on the colorway of the greatest ever McLaren F1 car: Senna’s MP4/4, Peal White, Red-Orange accents & Black Carbon!
Holy shit I can’t wait for this to be complete, it’s going to look insane!! Great work! 😂
"Let there be a monster" said Mr. JWW as he took a rib of carbon and one of titanium to create the furious 1000S.
...it might have been a titanium exhaust - not a rib. 🙄🤷
I wouldn't change the colour at all it will suit the carbon perfectly!
and also would be even more insane if you got the 570S chassis mounted wing and fitted in your 720s just like the DDE 720 GTR
Always loved that kit since it was announced, great choice 👍🏼👍🏼
GUNTHER WERKS AND WORSTEINER ARE GREAT COMPANIES. ONE MAN...TWO VISIONS.

He's definitely gonna regret saying there's no limit lol, can't wait to see the process and finished product!!!
The current scheme is pretty much perfection already.
Apart from aesthetic, does this kit actually add anything? Downforce, ground effects?
Why don’t you do your own research?
@@nathanthomson777 why don’t you!

Pretty sure its purely look but the rear spoiler is alot bigger so maybe helps with braking faster.
I reckon it should add some downforce. Bigger splitter, wing, and diffusor, as well as fender louvres. The exaust is amazing. Like the gold wheels
Such a shame, a car that is already perfect, used for something like this. Better take a basic 720s for a project like this.
All satin white pearl, with the exposed gloss carbon and wheels in silver gunmetal. Inside, I only changed the steering wheel from borbeux to red like everything else.
Honestly love the Ryft Carbon Body kit for this more than the Vrsteiner especially with the Ryft titanium exhaust
I would go for a deep green which fades along the car. A bit like the burgundy is on the car at the moment. Keep the wheels gold. As for the power upgrade have a chat with Danon from DDE on his and the problems he has had.
A very dark green with a crazy bright green flake in it. Very understated untill the light hits it would be something I'd love to see
Three layer British Racing Green, leave the gold wheels, yellow calipers, yellow interior details. Its a beautiful piece of British engineering, it should be celebrated as such.
Don't change the color, u have a beautiful spec. Just put the kit
frozen white colour with darkblue details or the carbon details in darkblue and keep the gold pinstripe on the side with the golden wheels and navy alcantara interior would look meeega.
1000s? Guess we are going to see some rods fly. I don’t see you driving like Damon, but getting a built motor seems the way to go with these cars.
Yes triple layer green, Verde Mantis style with that bare carbon kit would look sick
Totally hyped to follow this build
You should leave the original color, it's gorgeous
I really enjoy seeing cars like this modified. Instead of the usual hot hatch
Yes James. I am truly looking forward to this journey!
Can't wait for the results!
Probably won’t be mad enough for you, but Lapis blue with the black carbon spoiler and trim piece’s would look pretty awesome.
The VORSTEINER Aero is perfection!
I really likes the combo of purple paint and bronze/gold wheels. Or same wheels but then with dark green (maybe British racing green)
Triple layer green does sound cool but triple layer blue would be awesome either would look awesome

Either a orange or you could use the colours of your logo, navy tinted carbon/paint with red pinstripes. And please think of doing some dry carbon👏
The spec looks amazing and hope the exhaust sounds good cause as fast as the 720S is it never sounded good
Dclass automotive are the guys for anything McLaren interior based. Give them a shout as I’m sure they can help
Is it Xmas already?! Wow I cannot wait to see it complete
Excellent choice! Producer Michael featured one before.
You already have a pretty cool colour combination.
It seems a waste to me, put the carbon parts on and leave them as they are, I honestly don't see the point in re-spraying the car as it's a unique spec anyway. Sorry.
I agree.
I can't wait !! hurry up and get it done 🙂
That famous orange from the mclaren p1, would look insane with orange tinted carbon. That’s how I would do it
It would be pretty cool if you did the car in the olive green like you did with the G- wagon with the gold wheels and brakes👍
As much as I love the colour as is, an orange 🍊 (closer to red) might be a good option with royal blue accents
Add all you can and make a mad McLaren it's a must looking forward to the build 👏👏👏
An emerald green metallic with a gold fleck would look stunning
Monterey blue for the exterior. With exposed carbon accents. The Wheels should magnesium or full carbon
This is very exciting! Can’t wait to see the process !
Just need to add the MSS adjustable lowering springs and your will complete the build
That exposed red tinted carbon and gold accents is the best possible spec for this car. Please don't repaint this spectacular spec.
Exactly. I love this car and im not even a fan of 720s
this thing should be painted in midnight purple 3. usually i cant stand the color on other cars rather than r34 gtrs. but this kit would deserve it ^^
downless catpipes, gotta have those on there 😅
As a former 720S owner, I just can't think of a reason why he'd change anything on the body kit of the car. Novitec is as extreme as I'd ever go. As my 3 year old says.... "Yucky". I get your point, but you can add as much shabang you want to a turboed engine, it still won't sound as good as its N/A competitor
Kept waiting on the snap and crunch as one of them stood on part of a £50K carbon bodykit.....!
Giallo triplostrato would look INSANE on the car!!
The downless cat pipes must be sick!! Crazy 🔥🔥
Do the tinted carbon same color as the car. Whatever color you choose.
Full exposed tinted carbon body would look amazing
If I could afford it, I'd buy the exhaust kit and hang it as Art on my bedroom wall😍
Really looking forward to see what you do with this build. I hope you do something very striking and colorful!. 🤟
Paint the car midnight purple 3 with a purple tinted carbon, will also fit with the gold wheels
Audi Velvet Purple should be great with those wheels and the carbon parts to top it off
Mclaren's are fastly becoming my all time favourite supercar
Yes another stradman upload… oh wait it’s JWW. Not complaining one bit
Instead of a 'line' of exposed carbon, leave an exposed JWW somewhere that it suits, quarter panel, bonnet, boot etc, be cool to almost have your 'stamp' on it!
triple layer wicked green paint would look awesome
Maybe a very bright orange?with exposed carbon?
I genuinely hope that its a peel able paint and not actually sanding it down and repainting
This will be mental... looking forward to the journey..
You might be careful about adding power. Alex at Gintani says the rods can't handle the increase. See DDE's 720 build.
Agreed. He likes to go cross-country and on International tours, he's going to eventually throw a rod with that kind of power. The stock turbos are capable of overpowering the motor, I would not go above 800 rwhp.
I think Mclaren has an MSO color called Tokyo Cyan. Would look amazing with all the carbon
I can't wait to see this build!
And I hope that exhaust sounds as good as it looks
Acid Green🌳 Paint on Carbon with Bronze wheels ... 💚💚
6:00 a wild CGT appears in the background
This is great content James 👏
bonkers you say. then you really a need a sick yellow paint. Gonna look sick paired with exposed carbon.
How about a metallic burnt orange
Keep the essence the same but with some POP
- Purple, white wheels! 💜
- wait, what?
- wrong channel 😅

Pretty cobalt blue with a hint of purple in it would be 😎 🤘🤘
OMG! This is going to be amazing!
Super interesting project even though the current car looks absolutely amazing. When can we expect the next instalment?
But it already looks so perfect and disdinct in that color scheme and wheels! Please don't ruin my favorite and dream car in life! haha
Looking forward to what you do to the engine
