Great reaction. Her songs are indeed so very personal... so personal it is hard to imagine anyone else trying to cover them (even apart from the vocal difficulty...). They remind me a little of poetry from the Tudor period which was also often very personal, such that it is difficult to understand fully now without expert help filling in the background biographical and historical details... that said, Angelina's songs also have a universal quality which should give them lasting value - Million Miles is like that too, with specific personal details that related to Angelina's life but also strong universal sentiments...
An Alien...is clearly an Alien...at 12 composing with these lyrics and this music..who?..name me?..the guitarist is Ivan Mendez..various covers with Angelina, the keyboardist is a musical talent that accompanies Angelina with the double bass in another original of yours, no words.. only amazement for this wonderful creature, thanks for the nice review.. have a good life Massimo🥰
I've been listening to blues, R & B, pop and jazz singers since 1951, when I was 3. I've follow some of the greatest, Mahalia Jackson, Ethel Waters, Billy Holliday, Ella Fitzgerald, Pearl Bailey, Dina Washington, Gladys Knight, Janis Joplin, Angelina is fastly becoming my favorite of all time.
A tear stealthy in the night. What child has not experienced that.A warm embrace from someone safe. Is what we wish for all our children. Life is beautiful the good and the bad. Totally meaningful, the emotions are totally age appropriate but expressed with adult finesse.
This was written when she was younger than she is here. Precious .. and so soulful. (I think it's "stealthy" in the night.) Thank you for a lovely reaction.
written and composed at age 11, aired at age 12. The pianist is a friend of her, you see him as the stand up bass player in her MV "7th heaven". Elmar from Germany.
She sings with the wisdom of someone much her senior. Her tone is perfect and she’s in control of her voice. She took Corinne Bailey Rae sound to another level.
Very nice reaction Britt, I adored her absolute tranquility and ease of singing and composing the story. I really love this song of hers, it's so simple, sweet and deep at the same time, perfect for her wonderful velvet voice, is stunning also for her profound lyrics, "...maybe life's a just a memory..."! She is absolutely unreal at only 12 years. 💛🧡❤
This song could easily be a moment in a musical from the 50s. I can just see it. The story of a teenage girl in Kansas, or somewhere like that, growing up and reflecting on life's surprises. I love Angelina's voice here - smoky, smooth and raspy all at once with that classic vibrato. And I love how she mispronounces 'stealthy' (understandably) and manages to combine it with the idea of 'stealing into the night'. One of my top five, along with about thirty others!
Amazing voice with crazy accuracy. How? Who is Angelina? I remain baffled over all of her. No kid should be able to do this with such total refinement. Dozens of her songs are like this. Very peculiarly enjoyable. And she's so adorable you have to love her.
Hi Britt, thank you for another wonderful and enjoyable reaction with our girl Angelina. Her LA guitarist friend is Ivan Mendez, and the gentlemen on piano is Texas born Dylan Meeks a very talented musician who became a protégé of the Harlem piano master Jimmy Neeley and attended the New School for Jazz in NYC. Angelina has always been surrounded by very talented musicians and I am quite certain they are proud and inspired to create music with her. Cheers Britt, stay well, stay safe.
Angelina wrote this at age 11. Here we see not only Angelina the singer, but Angelina the composer; but not only Angelina the composer, but Angelina the child-philosopher! "Life is perhaps just a memory; we come, we see, we go" -- patterned after the Grecian philosophical ideas of where did I come from, why am I here, where am I going! And don't forget that she composed this song in English, her third language, while doing it in the jazz style of the early-mid 20th century! Just extraordinary!
i LOVE that our young songstress is wearing a "Tweety Bird" top. Tweety Bird was one of many cartoon characters of the mid-20th century "Loony Tunes" series of cartoons produced by Warner Bros. studios. Aaaah, those were the good ol' days! Thanks Britt.
Her fundamental Song for the followings. Every phrase is worth to think about. Her greatest influencer is her grandma Mery, also a child prodigy. Mery was growing up in the Land of Zarathustra, a wise man living 1000y before Jesus Christ. His message is think good, speak good and do good. That's what you hear in her last phrase ❣️💓and her message from her last concert.. be kind to eachother and spread Love because we need it more in the world 💕🌎
Wise beyond her years, wisdom from the heart, confident in her choice of the lyrics, sincerely expressed from her soul and sung from her heart. She opened her herself, the core of the most important persons in her life; what we can do, what we can be in this world.. "a light in the darkest night." PROFOUND words coming from a Genius mind.. sung like a Prodigy... A VERY rare gift in our midst.. a hope for our future, an angel named ANGELINA. PEACE 🔥💫🎶🎹🎙️🎤🎶🎼🎵💕
Hi Britt. (PS Sweetie, Angie's volume was perfect, I don't even think you had your mic even on) Thanks for that nice reaction to 12 Angie. She wrote this at 11 and is 12 here singing it in her music corner as she calls it in her room. Piano player is Dylan Meek and Ivan Mendez on guitar. She did this song 🎵 again the following year in concert at 13 with a small band and of course she did it with a different style. You might react to it to some day. Hope you check out her version of "Natural Woman" by Aretha Franklin as she played a tribute to right after she died when Angie was 13. It was respectful and beautiful with a respectful fade to black at the end. ❤👍
the we come - we see - we go line is amazing all of her originals are very personal, each in a different way Yes, Ivan Mendez on guitar, Dylan Meek on piano there is also an official lyric video, where you can read the lyrics in detail - with the advantage of a different accompaniment (full wind band) ruclips.net/video/crngnoq0WLc/видео.html
Her own songs are all masterpieces, she is that song sing on her cd with the military bigband, also magic. Listen also , OSLO, a amazing song, angelina is the queen and i am so excieted of her new cd with her own songs 👑♥️🌹💫 great reaction britt 😊
Great reaction Britt check out her studio version of 7th Heaven It's one of her original songs it is so gorgeous she's gorgeous She has this beautiful Black Suit on with White Gloves and her long flowing hair It's just Her a Drummer a Bass player and one Backup Singer And she sounds so beautiful also check out her cover of Adele's All I Ask Angelina's cover of the song is better than Adele's And I absolutely love Adele And then her cover of Suspicious Minds By Elvis Presley also don't forget to check out her cover of How Great Thou Art by Elvis Presley I think she's only like 11 or 12 years old when she sings that it's gorgeous💜💜💜💜💜💜
Wonderful reaction Britt and you enhance the beauty of this song with all your observations! There seriously is no other talent comparable in my opinion.

English is not Angelina's first language. She pronounces stealthy as steelthy because of the way it is spelled (not as stellthy). Each of the things she sings as life are things in her life - going to school as she does, sitting at the piano playing beautiful songs like the pianist does (I read that he won a Grammy), creating paintings like her grandmother (a painter), and other familiar things in her life.
A lovely jazzy song sang with so much soul. Great message and I think the phrase 'Maybe life is a memory, we come, we see, we go' is my favourite. Today a bunch of posts were made strongly suggesting that the release of her new album is nearing! If this song is a promise what is to come... Btw the song was a bunch louder than your voice.

I very much like your reactions and I have been a subscriber since the very beginning but.... the sound level from your microphone is so low and the level from the music is so loud. She does, but the people who supported her from the beginning are a little older because some of the music she sings appeals to them. I think it's creepy that as a child people applauded her for singing adult, highly sexualized songs. Yeah, she has a freakishly adult voice, but she's NOT and adult. As a preteen she should have had a barbie, (which in itself is questionable).
... I've waited a long time for a singer like Angelina ... and the wait has exceeded all my expectations ... ✨💎✨ Thank you

JAZZ, JAZZY, JAZZED!!!!

Absolutely an angel sent from heaven

What can one say except amazing
"Her voice is so stunning and smooth and raspy and..." Not often "smooth" and "raspy" get to stand next to each other 😀. Love your reactions.

I was introduced to her 2 years ago. I have heard her referred to as the barefoot angel
Warm syrup on a waffle. What a great image and apt metaphor for this score. Jazz lounge. Jazz lounge. Grandma Ellen, out.
Awesome reaction and the guy in the middle is in her 7th Heaven video, playing the cello! In fact I think he has been in another also, God Bless!

The musician on the keyboard also plays the bass in the 7th Heaven music video.
I’m not shure what is more impressive, the lyrics, the melody or the performance. This is insane from a pre teen ❤️
This young sweet girl has to be a reincarnation. She's lived before and remembers all the experiences of that previous life (or lives).
Great reaction to a beautiful song by a prestige artist. This one is in my top 5 best. I love this song because it's all her.
