I mean humanity can never win against the multiverse-controlling Combine empire. In "episode 3" written by Laidlaw in his blog, at the end Gordon sees that combines have actual Dyson Spheres that covers stars, which means that they have unlimited power and technologies. The biggest damage gordon and humanity can do, is just a little scratch to the combines.
I honestly would have joined the CP in the hl universe.
videogiocatore3 To be fair, I think humanity has a fair chance of winning, only in the fact that they’ve managed to disable the Combine’s means of entering Earth and reinforcing their control. As Alyx said, the Combine are “slow to wake”, and it’s this slowness in their response matched with the relatively weak force they left behind on Earth which I think gives humanity a chance at success. They underestimated us just a bit too-much.

Also not to mention the lowest rank in UU can kill about 170 Rebels but other high ranks cannot?
Normal combine OverWatch soldiers that you see in The Citadel are brainwashed and have augmentations Metro cops are conscripted willingly
And as we all know, those who are part of an evil empire willingly are usually the best troops because they can use common fucking sense to survive.
It's a common mistake people make: They are confused between *HUMAN Civil Protection units* and *TRANSHUMAN Combine soldiers*

Lets be honest this is the combine version of gordon going through the citadel, airboat section, RAVENHOLM???...
@@OXY187 doesnt matter as it has shit logic, from the citadel you somehow arrive in man made sewers, then in those sewers theres an airboat conveniently placed there, and then you go through a water section with a man made chopper chasing you which doesnt make sense cause humanity's planes, tanks and so on all got confiscated by the combine and destroyed. Then you arrive at ravenholm...Which is stupid cause that is past black mesa east. FAR away from the citadel.
The best part of this mod is the ride/walk through the citadel. I wish there was a mod where you could free fly through the citadel from the perspective of a scanner. Or even look from the perspective of a Stalker working on a Gunship, watching the soldiers march, scanners float, and dropships fly past... **big sigh** a man can dream.

If I knew how to mod HL2, I would totally do that. And make a tactical(ish) mod for the Source Engine, shifting perspective to Combine vs Rebels (or vice verse).

better make some alliance citadel strategy managment build citael, open sectors gather resources, repair, upgrade, produce units, raids with ability to call reinforments etc etc , could add some story lines take sectors, build block posts, send help, rescue combine advisors, search aperture portal technology. ther alot of room to do with aliance.

I always loved mods/games that let you play as the enemy forces of the original/prequel games, gives you a different point of view and some different gameplay

It's pretty good mod, it would be a bit strange to see Civil Protection working with Transhumans, since these are completely different.
But doesn't matters if they're trashuman, they belong to the same empire

I have to say, excellent concept for a mod, but not the best way it was put into a format

People are shitting on this mod too much, it's an awesome mod that shows the other side of the conflict and gives Half-Life players who prefer the combine a cool combine based story to play.

Entropy zero
The main issue of this mod is that it doesn't make you feel like a Combine!
You're alone, when most combine troops you meet come in squads (if not ALL), you never hear any radio chatter or receive orders via radio (Combine soldiers do it constantly, even when they die they report a "Victory not achieved"
Resistance GREATLY outgear and outnumber you, to the point of them having a hunter chopper (you're not fooling anyone with that Black Hawk reskin, it's a Hunter Chopper. I was honestly expecting it to sound the distress alarm when it got shot at), yet you STILL get Gordon's boat AND A GRAVITY GUN!
Not to mention constant LORE and geographical fuck-ups, like ending up in sewer canals when you just left the Citadel, which stands in a CENTER of City-17!

I want a mod where u got recycled to a strider
I always felt like Half-Life 2 needed a proper expansion that put you in the eyes of the combine just like how Opposing Force made you play as the military. It would have been awesome. Just imagine Opposing Force but it's around Half-Life 2 and you are a combine instead. Same concept except better with such an idea of being a soldier for a big empire. Also, it would have been nice to show that even the combine themselves aren't specificly bad. Yes, they are invading earth but we as humans, invaded the earth ourselves, billions of years before. It would have been nice to see that just like in Opposing Force, not everyone in that same group is bad and that they are just forced into situations.

Не стоит забывать что это демо мода. Отсюда и метрокоп командир у солдата альянса, отсюда и вертолет у сопротивления, отсюда и некоторая топорность и сыроватость карт. Жаль что мы наверное уже никогда не увидем полностью доработаную версию мода. Он мог бы стать первее Entropy Zero)
Возможно, и неким "выследить фримена" более менее здорового человека...
А не знаешь как сделать его играбельным? Я сделал все по инструкции Сталкероса - чтобы убрать ошибку с бэкграундом-вайдскрином, все норм казалось бы, запускается. НО, G-Man в заставке молчит, и комбайны палят в ГГ пока он едет в капсуле, там где надо взять костюм, никакого ГОшника нет, и на этом все.
Похожее было в Rebellion, но там был фикс Source SDK 2013, его установил, и Брин стал говорить речь для тамошнего ГГ, и все норм. Может есть такой же фикс для этого мода, или там файлы поменять? Или может ты играл (если играл) в более старую версию халфы?
