I believe I'll have to make a few explanations for this video. Reading this may or may not be helpful. - If you make it to the end, you can see that there is...*drumrolls*...no Episode 1 or 2 like how a majority of people wanted! And while I wish I could also animate those, this project was getting really, really tiresome wayyy since the Black Mesa East part of it. The reason being me having to focus on real life events and my own mental well being. I, however, plan to work on the Episodes as separate projects which I'll try and produce something even better than my other stuff. - As you can easily tell, this took a long, very long time to make. While there are a bunch of reasons for that (one of them just being me lazy :P) they can all be summarized in me having to focus on real life events again. - And of course, as always, something *has to* go something wrong in my videos. Apparently some of the sound effects got replaced by others sharing the same name, this might cause some silly little oddities. I dunno if I'll fix them later. - Finally, will I be more active in the channel after I upload this? Probably not, I plan to focus on myself for a while, while also cooking up smol, teeny tiny animations to post once in a while. I consider uploading videos to YT as a side quest rather than my main objective, at least for the time being. Because of this, I don't bother with it too much. So that may result in me posting once a month or two. With that out of the way, I hope you'll enjoy this one fellas. I don't expect many of you to give a view, and that's okay. At this point, despite what his non-fourth-wall admirers/worshippers/haters may think, Freeman's life is basically a linear road of suffering and precariously-sealed (and cursed, in no small part thanks to G-Man) PTSD, despite what other HL-characters might say otherwise in any positive light towards Gordon.

I don't know how but you absolutely nailed making a stick figure look tired and dazed. Love the little moments. This feels more like a genius animator downgrading to stick figures to save time than a beginner using them because that's all he knows. A few years ago when I was all into half life I would have killed to see this
I literally just the first one, and this literally just showed up! This one is 4 times the length of the first but the animation quality is equal if not higher! Awesome job!
Everything about this animation is very lovable edit: the choreography recreated in a 2d animation for specific scenes and also making them sorta more cinematic in a way makes me excited if you ever plan to tackle onto Half Life Alyx combat and combine, even going out of your way to animate stuff unused for a small scene just shows me that you were dedicated, whatever project you plan to animate next whether its half life or not, I fully support ya

Hey its me again, i found 6 skulls during route canal, one during the introduction of the barnacle, one near the container, one behind barrels when freeman uses the turret, one at the spot where Cps throw barrels at freeman, one where freeman is stacking bricks, and i think one is where freeman is taking cover from the hunter chopper.
I would like to go on record that it was a nice touch add the epu as a officer and the cp with a trench coat it reminds me of the Shock divisions from halflife RP
Im find it great that you include in 2:28 and 4:12 how Gordon Probably feels when he sees these creatures in his perspective black mesa was a few hours ago while for world its been 20 years barely and creators put this details in these fan made animations or etc.
I always loved the way we got introduced to the magnum, just sitting in a tabble with the perfect timming for a metrocop to open the door, best feelling ever
I like how Gordon in this animation actually shows some emotions (although subtle and in rare instances from time to time) and is not completely stoic all of the time as some people portrayed him in SFMs and animations, very cool!
I know i may sound stupid if you don't know war of the worlds but this scene is a reference to that ferry scene on that hill where machines start to vaporize people less then a second : 7:46
I actually am a fan of War of the Worlds, and that scene is indeed a reference to the movie! I actually planned there to be 3 Striders just like in the movie, but I gave up on that idea pretty early :P

This is a very high effort animation, especially with how long it is. I already struggle to make animations longer than a minute, but this is a decently good length. Good animation in general :)
