It as an actor , is a wrong phrase , the directors didn't use him , I've seen only two guys irrrfan and Kunal khemu who are both so good at comic roles and same goes for evil/ intense roles , I've seen Malang only for him , and at the same time , he does movies like golmaal 3 and go Goa gone , huge talent , maybe he's not a romantic hero but his talent is immaculate,

Just got out of the theatre watching this movie ! And my God i don't remember when was the last time i genuinely laughed in a movie. Too good ! Especially the subtle easter eggs and a blink and miss it reference to Go Goa Gone. Hats off ! Totally worth the time
Happy for Kunal Khemu and his casting and direction. Blockbuster will elude Bollywood this year but I think we will see smaller successes that will tally up and reveal some good cinema.
Upendra Limaye is legend he can ace any role be intimidating Bhai in Antim or Police officer in OG mulashi pattern or national award winning perform in art cinema and here making comedy villian without going overboard. Chaya kadam is too good for that character.
Kunal khemu is really an underrated actor in bollywood for sure. I was just watching his childhood movie zakham last week, and I was amazed to see that a 14 year old can act like that. I'm looking forward to this movie as his debutant directorial, and I would love to see his acting more
Unexpectedly My trio(me and my two closest buddies) went to watch this film yesterday at 9:30 AM show and we all three enjoyed it to the core. We three were like pointing our hands to who is who towards the lead trio for every 5 minutes and man, It was a memorable experience for me.
I'm still smiling and there is a hangover of the movie.. Omg.. It's hilariously funny.. And just superb. Pratik gandhi.. Again u made me your big fan after harshad mehta series. Such a versatile and amazing actor u are. It's a must watch.. Loved it.
Akshay Kumar, Farhad samji , Ranveer Singh , Varun Dhawan etc & many others should be made to sit and watch these masterpieces, so that they can learn how actually a comedy movie is made and how to accordingly perform in it
I saw Madgaon Express in the theaters yesterday! The whole theater was in splits throughout! This film was a joy! Treat to watch a talented cast absolutely kill it! I agree about the songs part. The movie was so good, that the random songs in between were quite unnecessary. Almost itching to watch the film again in theaters! Thats how much of a good time i had after a loonnggg while
I was watching in pvr with an audience of college students to a mid age couple or friends and everyone was laughing n enjoying every scene . For me Pratik is the show stealer .
Mid credit scene could have shown a possibility for sequel inspired by zindagi na milegi dobara ....3 friends on international trip for bachelorette party .
Sadly Bollywood doesn't make comedy gems like Hera pheri, chupke chupke, welcome etc. The comic timings of the great Johnny lever, khadar Khan, Govinda, razak Khan will be missed forever. Great childhood memories of these comic gems
Regarding your comment on the songs I felt the positioning of the songs was more like a reference or a comment on weird positioning of songs usually in Bollywood movies, the film references a lot of times how "It doesn't happen in real life but only in movies". Even Dodo does or says things that he had learned from movies only.
I may be the only one here to differ from all the comments ... but frankly I felt the movie was over-hyped and average. The humor felt forced and loud. In fact, at some points I also felt the movie very dull. I really wanted to enjoy the movie and was watching with biased positive frame of mind because of Kunal Khemu. But somehow the characters couldn't connect with me. It felt more like the humor was taken for granted.
It was a pretty okayish movie, I found it to be full of extremely poorly written jokes and gags which used to be funny 10years ago Hn bhayi cocaine khaa ke ajeeb trh se behave krne lg gya ek character(haso!!) Male characters female bnke aagye, santraa jokes suno Seriously can't see why that is still funny

I just watched first minute of this video and went and booked tickets. Without watching the trailer as well, and I absolutely loved this movie. Did the same for Manjummel Boys and Bramyugam. Loved the idea of going in for movies without knowing what it was about..
The second part of the movie is cooking I guess.... Madgaon Express 2 - The Las Vegas. Also I loved the way background music and songs are used. Specially fighting scene in the hotel room, the background song is "Mamo Chitte" Rabindranath Tagore
Agree, no doubts casting of all actors was next to perfect but I really felt Pratik was very impressive. Only a theater actor like him could carry it well. Be it being the germophobiac, or high on drugs each time he looked convincing nor cringe.
Absolutely loved it. Sadly, saw it in a near-empty theatre (which is a good and a bad too). But, the movie is absolutely hilarious. Kunal carries his style throughout. Prateek definitely stole the show. But Dibyendu and Avinash were superb too. Upendra and Chhaya were brilliant in support. And Remo was absolutely unexpected and yet really apt. It was a such a hilarious relief to FINALLY have an actual comedy movie in its truest form. And as you said in the begging, YES! YES! YES!
This movie just wasn't funny. At max , it's mildly amusing and that too at one or two instances. I don't know what makes you say things like 'genuine comedy is back'. It did not even evoke a proper chuckle. And, I am a big Kunal Kemmu fan. I was rooting for this movie before I saw it. I had loved 'Go goa gone' and I was impressed because Kunal did some writing on that movie as well. This one is nowhere close to being a laugh riot that the makers promised and then the reviewers claimed it to be.

Just watched the movie today and it was absolutely hilarious. No forced comedy or unnecessary cringe. All the actors were really good and the direction was good as well. Watching the trailer I thought- puri movie dikha di kya. But the story was really good. And I liked the bgm. Overall, its a really good watch. 100% recommend ❤
I watched it today and I throughly enjoyed it. Yes the songs were somewhat unnecessary but it was also not that bad specially the second song “Not Funny” it was split into two parts which first was awkward but second felt funny. Imagine comedy so good that even in serious situations theatre was laughing as it was funny but everyone getting silent at once when realizing that it is serious situation. Good work by everyone
I have always thought of Kunal Kemmu to have one of the best comic timing in Bollywood the tone changes, the facial expressions. It's a pity we didn't get to see much of him but someone like a Tiger Shroff is given so many chances. What a sad world we live in.

I dont know about this review but i found it bland and i just laughed at one point where kunal khemu said he reached pondicherry. Apart from it divenyu was trying really hard to make the scene funny and other 2 guys who are very good actors cant even make us feel their existence in movie. I have watched way better movies then this. Go goa gone and delhi belly are the examples. Movie is trash in the name of comedy with such great actors.
It was such a brilliant comedy!! Had me laughing like crazy throughout. Truly hats off to Kunal Kemmu, he has understood the art of comedy like no one else, be it his acting or now directing!!!! Everybody needs to go to theatres and watch it with lots of friends.
This was such a fun movie from start to end. One of the best films of the year and one of the best comedy films in general. Kunal absolutely smashed it with the writing and direction. I hope he and this movie get more recognition. It absolutely deserves it
Watching this movie reminded me of 99 (Kunal Kemmu's first comedy movie with Raj and DK), the man has experience to do modern day Bollywood comedies since the time they weren't even a thing❤
Hats off to Kunal Kehmu. The guy knows his craft and is honest and sincere about his work. Hopefully he will improve more in future as a director and writer. Bollywood is notorious with adding un necessary songs in films, maybe they will get over this obsession at the expense of the story at some point. Songs are great but they shouldn't be insterted when not needed. Ittefaq with rajesh khanna and nanda is a great film because they didn't do that precisely.
Suffering from last two years making plans to go to a theater when I get job still the search continues, would love to watch this film but just don't want to regret while sleeping that what I am doing in life, that I don't have a job and wasting my parents money. I am writing this here becoz I don't know anyone here and no one knows me so I can show my vulnerability without any tension.
How come? It was such a boring movie..all dialogue were super old and boring.. No emotions, no fear and no laughter.. Useless movie.. I had to leave in between as I was not able to bear it further. Delhi belly and go goa gone are cult.. Pls don't compare madgaon express with the cult movie..

Might I add, as a Goan the flim is very Goa accurate. Its a pet peeve of mine when people use goa as the location but don't do their research about the location. Like when in one of the singham movies they called the entirety of Goa, "goa city" like wtf. Or in drishayam when they name the main character; whos a cheapo after one of the richest family in goa; Salgaokars. Ajay Devgan eventually becomes rich so ig thats better? Spolier Alert! But in this movie when pinku has overdosed on coke, dodo tries to find someone who can help (someone who knows about drugs) and a local says "you won't find that stuff here you’ll have to go towards Anjuna side" and yep that's where all the illegal stuff happens, towards north. Even the gang leaders aren't goan but outsiders. And that's accurate as hell 😂 So, yeah the movies is hilarious and well researched. Ps- Just one thing, Madgao Express doesn't actually exist 💀 but Madgao station does.

This movie just wasn't funny. At max , it's mildly amusing and that too at one or two instances. I don't know what makes you say things like 'genuine comedy is back'. It did not even evoke a proper chuckle. And, I am a big Kunal Kemmu fan. I was rooting for this movie before I saw it. I had loved 'Go goa gone' and I was impressed because Kunal did some writing on that movie as well.
This one is nowhere close to being a laugh riot that the makers promised and then the reviewers claimed it to be.

Just watched the movie today and it was absolutely hilarious. No forced comedy or unnecessary cringe. All the actors were really good and the direction was good as well. Watching the trailer I thought- puri movie dikha di kya. But the story was really good. And I liked the bgm. Overall, its a really good watch. 100% recommend ❤
I watched it today and I throughly enjoyed it. Yes the songs were somewhat unnecessary but it was also not that bad specially the second song “Not Funny” it was split into two parts which first was awkward but second felt funny. Imagine comedy so good that even in serious situations theatre was laughing as it was funny but everyone getting silent at once when realizing that it is serious situation. Good work by everyone
I have always thought of Kunal Kemmu to have one of the best comic timing in Bollywood the tone changes, the facial expressions. It's a pity we didn't get to see much of him but someone like a Tiger Shroff is given so many chances. What a sad world we live in.
Bareilly ki Barfi & Stree were also comedy gems even though the latter had horror too

I dont know about this review but i found it bland and i just laughed at one point where kunal khemu said he reached pondicherry. Apart from it divenyu was trying really hard to make the scene funny and other 2 guys who are very good actors cant even make us feel their existence in movie. I have watched way better movies then this. Go goa gone and delhi belly are the examples.

It was such a brilliant comedy!! Had me laughing like crazy throughout. Truly hats off to Kunal Kemmu, he has understood the art of comedy like no one else, be it his acting or now directing!!!! Everybody needs to go to theatres and watch it with lots of friends.

This was such a fun movie from start to end. One of the best films of the year and one of the best comedy films in general. Kunal absolutely smashed it with the writing and direction. I hope he and this movie get more recognition. It absolutely deserves it
Watching this movie reminded me of 99 (Kunal Kemmu's first comedy movie with Raj and DK), the man has experience to do modern day Bollywood comedies since the time they weren't even a thing❤
Hats off to Kunal Kehmu. The guy knows his craft and is honest and sincere about his work. Hopefully he will improve more in future as a director and writer. Bollywood is notorious with adding un necessary songs in films, maybe they will get over this obsession at the expense of the story at some point. Songs are great but they shouldn't be insterted when not needed. Ittefaq with rajesh khanna and nanda is a great film because they didn't do that precisely.
Suffering from last two years making plans to go to a theater when I get job still the search continues, would love to watch this film but just don't want to regret while sleeping that what I am doing in life, that I don't have a job and wasting my parents money. I am writing this here becoz I don't know anyone here and no one knows me so I can show my vulnerability without any tension.

Might I add, as a Goan the flim is very Goa accurate.
Its a pet peeve of mine when people use goa as the location but don't do their research about the location.
Like when in one of the singham movies they called the entirety of Goa, "goa city" like wtf.
Or in drishayam when they name the main character; whos a cheapo after one of the richest family in goa; Salgaokars. Ajay Devgan eventually becomes rich so ig thats better?

Even the gang leaders aren't goan but outsiders. And that's accurate as hell 😂
So, yeah the movies is hilarious and well researched.
Ps- Just one thing, Madgao Express doesn't actually exist 💀 but Madgao station does.
