I hope you enjoyed this Ride 4 Gameplay from the PC. Plenty more Ride 4 gameplay to come from the PS4 and PS5 versions when the console releases.
Ride 4 is the latest instalment in Milestone's Ride game franchise so let's give you the low down on new features accessible through the career mode. Access all classes of the bikes, regional & world leagues, bike customisation, endurance racing and much more.
Ride 4 places you in the shoes of an optimistic rider aiming to build their career racing in different disciplines to become champion of the world. You’ll start at the bottom, racing the best from the different regional leagues and eventually progress your way to victory at some of the greatest European, American and Asian circuits. Earn enough points to win cups and progress to the worlds tage in the World League! Succeed there and you'll make it to the world superbike league and world endurance league to become world champion!
All bikes are at the heart of Ride 4 and, during your journey through the career mode, you'll get the opportunity to race different classes of bikes! Ride 4 includes 250 plus bike models, each re-created for Ride 4 in exquisite detail - 176 are available on day 1 while 81 will be added in post launch DLC.
Let me tell you more about the bike classes and all bikes in Ride 4!
Sports Bikes - Sport bikes look more like your typical race bike. These road bikes have focus on performance; emphasising speed, acceleration, braking and handling all at the compromise of comfort! My personal favourites being the BMWS1000RR or the Yamaha R1!
Naked Bikes - Your Naked bikes are versatile and built for general purpose. Riding position differs on these bikes with an upright position adopted as opposed to the tucked in style for sports bikes. Examples include the Ducati Monster and Triumph Speed Triple S.
Supermoto - The class was born on the concept of finding out who was the fastest rider across three genres of bike racing, Flat track, motocross and tarmac. The bikes suspension is built to handle jumps and tyres chosen for good off-road and tarmac performance. Hop on a Kawasaki KX450 or a Yamaha YZF 450 to experience the thrill of Super moto bikes in game.
Race Modified Bikes - These are extreme versions of the Sports and Naked bikes. Lose the lights, mirrors and license plates to save weight; tuned engines and race tyres and brakes for maximum performance - and you have formula for a very quick bike. Handle them carefully as the games realistically crafted physics will be unforgiving.
Endurance Bikes - For the first time in the franchise’s history, you can compete in endurance races from twenty minutes to twenty-four hours! Your Endurance modified race bike will be your best friend. You’ll need to be at one with the bike to take the win - have a constant awareness of your tyre performance and fuel usage on these bikes. The main difference between a race modified and endurance modified sports bike will be the setup and the inclusion of headlights for the night cycles in the race. for beginners who wants to earn money to buy bikes. Go on time trial, choose ur favorite map and keep running it in different bikes. you will earn ALOT, compared to normal racing.

For circuits without long straights, the AI in this game is stupid hard, even on easy.
Not everyone has time to spend an hour on each track. Some just want to have fun.
Exacly!!! Motogp3 used to be fun and easy if you wanted to but this is soooo damn hard!! I just want to plug in and play, I understand practicing but it's like hard or harder mode lol

@@randitoable10 It's not like in other sims. You didnt understand what is wrong with it. The AI is badly implemented. As stated, on circuits with long straights, you leave them a lot behind.

@@cristi8183 Most if not all racing games have issues balancing their AI. Last one I played was Forza Horizon 4, and I'm sure the multiple difficulty choices makes it fun for casual players to find a comfortable spot. However, my brother and I went through the campaign with it set as "unbeatable", and it's just underwhelming (no assists on).
Only racing game I've played that had actual really challenging bots was F1 2021. Compared to Ride 4 where you delete them on the straights, in F1, they keep up to you all the race. Which in the end feels a lot more satisfying and fun than either losing them in front or behind... I hate games like The Crew and old NFS (haven't played new ones so might not be the same anymore) where the AI receives random boosts and just drives by at 400km/h, because the only way they can keep up is by cheating...
Other than that, I feel like there's not enough semi realistic games with motorcycles AND cars. And no, The Crew's physics are not for me. The idea was great tho
Edit: If it wasn't clear, I'm agreeing with you. By "Only game with really challenging bots" I mean that the AI's behavior during the race is balanced and won't randomly speed up except if on fresh softs. Games that have to boost the other vehicles to catch up or make them literally brake so you can catch them is just ridiculous, even for arcade games.
Great video. Personally none of these things bother me (maybe the AI, but not so much). The only thing I can’t stop thinking while I play Ride 4 is: why the hell they haven’t included a practice mode before every race? There are so many tracks that I don’t know that 5-10 minute practice before any race would made my experience much better. I can do it manually, though.

The AI never misses anything, they are simply perfect, no physic laws to them
The AI sucks. The racers can't even see other players? Hitting and falling all the time
Just picked up this game yesterday, my biggest issue is the selection of street bikes. They cut so many out compared to Ride 3, probably to add as paid DLC later. The controller feels better, less deadzone than before. The price of bikes is crazy too, but I found the Tsukuba "method" which makes $40k+ every minute so that helps a lot.

@@JGXD2000 In the Asian League go to the Stock 600cc cup. Upgrade your 600 & race the Tsukuba Time Attack. 1 Lap takes under 1 minute & run as little assists as you can. I have the 2x credits bonus so my payout is $43k every minute or $35k for silver. Very little load time as well. Make $250k-$350k every 10 minutes with loading. Make easy $1.5m-$2m every hour. Boring but in less than 2 days I have almost every bike in the game.

I have slightly different things I HATE about Ride 4.
1) Lack of endurance and qualifications in Multiplayer
2) Huge off track grip
3) Lack of MotoGP20 respawns
4) Bugged tyre temperature, mostly with smooth brakes/throttle set up
5) Lack of noticable change of bike handling with different set ups

The map rotate feature is not available or have you not turned it on?
I’ve played all 4 ride games and by far, ride 4 is the worst. The races, career mode, and time trials are almost unplayable. I get wanting to make it difficult for race fans, but at the easiest setting anyone should be able to beat the entire game and unlock all of the content available. The worst of it is if you ride with realistic settings (my preference in every ride game) the bikes are extremely difficult to control. I end up dumping the bike every corner and when I do everything to maintain traction, the AI can out brake, corner, and accelerate me while never getting penalized for breaking the rules. Right now as it stands the game is masochistically brutal, anyone that’s looking at picking up this game please don’t. If you want a good ride game to play I’d recommend picking up ride 2, at the very least you can actually beat the entire game and unlock everything. If you want a compromise between being playable and riding more modern bikes get ride 3.

Ride 1 is actually really good too and is least grindy
This game put me in a murderous rage. I feel like snapping the neck of the lead developer behind this monstrosity. I'll give Ride 2 a try. I like the gameplay but the Ai is impossible even on the easiest setting.

@@hjertrudfiddlecock4394 I did, I’ve played through a good portion of the game and it has the dark souls 2 problem, the difficulty is unfairly punishing to the point that it’s not fun to play. As a developer you want to make it so it’s feasible to access all the content and beat the game at a level that is challenging yet satisfyingly rewarding. The other ride games got that balance right and even gran turismo 7 got the balance correct, ride 4 pushed the difficulty too far to the point it’s not fun.
The ai is really, REALLY pissing me off. The thing is I don't wanna use the rewind. If I make a mistake and I crash, I don't wanna rewind. But if the ai just punts me off the track for no bloody reason, that just ruins my race and my mood cos I have to rewind. And it's not like the ai has also made a mistake under stress like a human would, they just don't give you space, they don't even realise your presence which is NOT AT ALL WHAT A HUMAN WOULD DO.
If i crash my bike quite often in either training or or career mode, does it tear n wear bikes. ,?
Hi i have so many bikes in ride 4 but wen i try to use them in multiplayer online. They dont appear in the bike select menu. What can i do
What's the point of an Easy setting if the Easy setting is harder than the Impossible setting on any other racing game? The Ai are brutal. Let the challenge junkie players have their hard settings but stop disregarding casual players who just want to ride around on bikes.
And don't get me started on tire wear. Tell me why tires completely wear out in a 5 lap race? If that was IRL, that tire company would go out of business. Don't add a BS feature if it doesn't make a lick of sense. That's not "simulation"...thats bad design.
Overall, MASSIVE step back from Ride 3 and a huge disappointment.
Ride 4 is very forgiving compared to motogp 20 which I think has the best physics balance to fun ratio. You should give it a bit time, when you get the "aha" moment it will be more fun mastering tracks than just driving around perfect without effort in Ride 4 easy mode straight away. The rewarding feeling is so nice and the bike feel more alive and under your control when not glued to the track like many race games.
The game is completely useless. The developers are idiots. You call a difficulty very easy and yet racing veterans can't even come 7th-10th
There should be a class action lawsuit against the Buffoons that made this game. The difficulty settings makes this game unplayable and completely stalls progression in the career mode of the game where everything is locked behind completion of the current race. If I may ask are these not the same guys who made Control and put that immersion killing punch code puzzles that made thousands of people including myself to instantly delete the game?
Please is Ride 3 a good game in terms of Ai simplicity. I started this game with Ride 4 and it has put a sour taste in my mouth for the entire series.
@@messiahshow When I played MXGP 21, I simply asked myself what I was playing for. This game is as stupid and funless as Ride 4. To me these categories of games are ssd nuisances for my precious drive space on my ps5. Needless to say, I instantly deleted the game also. This is one reason why I'll forever appreciate subscriptions. It gives you the opportunity to test the game before wasting your hard earned money on it.

I hate the fact that on the ps4 version the qualifying( in worldtour) only Works with automatic gearbox, the downshifting does not work with the manual gearbox.
i hate so many things about ride 4. The only good thing about ride 4 is the graphics and thats about it. The biggest issue i have is the braking system, its completely trash and doesnt even closely resemble riding a real bike. braking too hard should lift the rear like a real bike, and rear brake... whats the point of it even being in the game if it can't be used like a rear brake.

For example in the European licence at mugello circuit the cbr goes only 205kmh so i can't pass the test

The logic behind no rewind in endurance is to promote the idea that exists in real life endurance racing that you have a lot of time to correct the mistake on track and make up for it, however the "endurance" races in career mode are hardly endurance at all they are just a normal race, with one pit stop. So it doesnt make sense to have it disabled for the standard length endurance mode.
I hate that there are only a few opitions of tunning the bikes.
Good points. Ride 4 not only lets other AI riders smash into the player and keep going each time, but freely allows the player to knock down as many other AI bikers as they want during a race and there is no penalty or issue with the rules at all. It's unreal.
So hard to turn for beginner , I thought because of controller , after I use my wheel to turn , even harder to control the turn...

Honestly find some of the time trials and races in the wet super hard. CREDITS how many years will I have to play before I can afford a few race modified bikes

Just started doing endurance races, kinda avoided them at all costs when the game first came out but this has got to me one of my biggest complaints... NO MID RACE SAVES IN ENDURANCE MODE. in any single player endurance race you should have the ability to leave mid race and come back to it later. 20 minutes isn't a problem bur sometimes 40 minutes is, let alone anything higher in time than that. sometimes life happens and you have to leave or go do something and to lose all your progress suckssssss!
Theres a bug when you step on the grass or sand and you restart the race, the sound of the bike running on the grass or sand keeps on.
Either Forza Horizon add bikes, or someone creates an open world free roam where its all google map generated like MFS2021, so you can ride your bike anywhere in the world and have the option to race on any race track.
I keep having problems with camera shake on ride 4
First couple of minutes how do you get that veiw on the bike, my one doesn't have it, or is it a setting?
It is just a replay camera. You can't unfortunately play with this view

I got this on a PSN sale this week. And I've enjoyed my time with it so far. However as a novice i have huge issue with the supposed racing line assist.
It doesn't seen to be accurate in the slightest. Even the a.i aren't using that line the majority of the time.
The rear brake is to sensitive. So annoying 🙁

I like the graphics, but the bike in this game just... loses grip\jumps\floats all the time on turns and its very strange and I guess not true to life? Im talking about the rear wheel. Very strange and unrealistic behaviour.
They able to make a pitstop feature in Ride 4 but why we never have a Flag to Flag pitstop in the Motogp series. This is really confuse me 😂

Another thing I notice that I hated was if you wheelie you can flip the bike. No matter how hard you pull back on the left stick the bike will not flip. Even when anti wheelie turned off
Main one is how the AI race, the amount of times I just get cut up and slammed, caught in a low side , like I get it happens but it’s at least once per every other race
sometimes it takes me like 10 or more tries to start the race cos the first corner is a hairpin and its just brutal

I'm not a huge fan of the AI either... the AI does push u away if ur about to pass them or if they want to pass u they wont care as long they take u down with them. On the flip side I was also able to knock the cpu down with no much effort like pushing/poking them from the rear the cpu just stay on his path and take it without even trying to move away. Not sure if I'm asking for too much but I would think that AI could be better then this by today standards but tbh I dunno any better but still doesn't change the fact that it's extremely annoying.
Whenever I play the game I just limit to time attack where is just me and the clock. If I go MP that's praying that no1 cheats as there is no actual good anti cheat system built in the game.
Only I hate is no rewind in endurance, I am in final league, and completed 2 endurance race, but i dont have more energy for 3 other.

Isle of man TT3 should have mapped the whole island by now. Plus allow traffic optional. Free roam Isle of man it can't be that hard. Tt2 has a good free roam but no traffic and the mirrors are junk.
There are three things that put me off the game. 1. Bikes are weightless they buck up and you crash if you clip a rumble strip or there’s a crest. Needs the physics from moto gp to make it feel more realistic. 2. No feedback through the control as the rear wheel breaks traction which makes telling the grip level really hard. 3. Getting dive bombed by ai that smash you off in corners. Believe this is being patched.

It was never patched. This game is an abomination. If I were sick in the head just a bit, I'd like to strangle the lead developer behind this atrocity.
I posted this on another channel.... "Is anyone else getting bored racing only one AI in the game? It's the same as Ride 3. One AI is always so much faster than the rest of the pack. I set the AI between 90-100% on Realistic. Every race is the same. Me vs the fastest AI with the rest of the pack miles behind. Just don't see the point in having 11 AI riders on track when 10 of them are never involved in the race"
Hi Mate - I have observed this in both R3 & R4...I suspect that Milestone have an algorithm running during a race that an AI player is selected at the beginning to be the fastest during that particular race. Iam not a profrssional programmer & i dont know anybody in Milestone but from past experience I have come t this conclusion. In a funny way this does happen in real world racing...for example Rossi vs Biaggi or Rainey vs Schwantz...
I'm still playing Ride 2, never liked 3 so I stuck with 2, but I've stopped doing single races completely, they're only fun on 125/250cc. It just isnt fun when you have a huge lead kn the majority of the AI
1. The grass is too forgiving
2. The animations of the bike losing control should be smoothed out a bit
3. I don't see stronger bikes performing stoppies when you press the front brake too hard like we see in MotoGP 20
they made the game arcadish but made the ai impossiblly scripted, also they asking for a motogp lap time with shitty bikes to make the game look hard, totally crap game
This game needs more bikes a free roam mode and to be able to wheelie like you could in ride 3

The performance on regular xbox is awful. Horrible frame drops even when you reduce motion blur. The difficulty settings did not work either. So I stopped playing. Hopefully it will be patched.

What I HATE is.. Like this video, most Ride 4 reviews show the realistic rider POV where the camera swings to the side of the bike and lowers to the road, but this is NOT POSSIBLE during game play as it is on Rims & Moto GP. Very disappointing.
The ONE thing that stands out and the thing I hate the most about RIDE4 is the REPLAY Camera Views! The replays are pretty much Trash but for maybe 1 or 2 places...Phillip Island is pretty cool....but like Nurburgring replays are horrible compared to RIDE3...RIDE3 replays was all Golden at every place....Nurburgring was enjoyable to sit back and watch the race or Time Trial Lap there.....but RIDE4???? ggeeeezz must be the new guy they hired and put in charge of the replay cameras!! RIDE4 is such a kick ass game...but those damn REPLAYS GOOD LORD!!
once ya learn how to get the settings correct and ride these bikes, you can freggin haul!
I just got 7.19 Lap at Nurburgring and 759th global...not too bad, but lemme tell ya, I was on a Yamaha YZF-R1 and It was Movin!! (check my YT page)
Once i figured out how to hit those corners without sliding that back tire, I couldn't stop playin it.....just sucks they had to mess the replays up! One of my favorite parts about racing these 'sims' ;)
Tbh I wish they would work on the sounds
for new guys out there. for most track if you get the hang of it like running a map 2-3 times. knowing at what speed to enter and exit. you can beat most AI even in corners section, straight is the part where AI is super weak at.
but there are some tracks AI are just too ridiciously fast around the corners. especially in the rain, they can corner as if it wasn't raining. its impossible to beat.
AI are harder, the higher CC you race in.
the higher the CC the more punishing it is if you make a mistake.
there are some tracks that are super enjoyable that AI are not overpowered and you can race in any cc bikes.
Sugo was a problem in 1/2/3 as well they never fix anything at milestone
The game is too hard to play even in easy mode. also, even your bike is full upgrades. nothing happens. they will just leave you when you hit the corner. Also, the list of the bike decreases. I played ride 2 and i must say it's way more better than ride 4.
The livery editor is so broken it’s not even funny. You try to put a decal under the wheel well and it ends up going on the gas tank too. No fkn sense to it.
I have many things to say about this game. I bought because i love bikes but in my opinion this game has been developped in a bad manner. If I spend money to buy a game I must be put in the conditions to complete it, but there are some events impossible to win or at least get third position. AI is very hard and the difference among various AI levels are really small. Some events of licence are frustrating and is not easy to get it and pass on the next event. Endurance race, no rewind available: but is almost impossible for me and for many other players , believe me, to drive night or rain for 40 minutes without doing a driving mistake. A couple of time I was first or second after 30-35 minutes, made a mistake and lost 4-5 positions, and this is very very frustrating. I won't buy Ride games anymore in the future. If somebody is interested to buy the game I will sell half price.
I downloaded it on ps plus and still feel cheated for wasting my precious data on the game. Luckily I also downloaded WRECKFEST and sighed in relief as my smile returned to my face. The game is just a joy to play. It's like Ride 4 was intentionally designed to make you break your Tv and Dualsense.
Im probably wrong. But i feel like ride 2-3 shouldn’t have existed. 4 should just be 2 because the progress made between the first and 4th. Just doesn’t seem like 4 games of progress. Feels like fifa. Like they milking it.
yep , just started playing this , the Ai is ridiculous , i'm just getting smashed off the bike at every other turn , I only use the rewind when the Ai smashes me for the 19th time in a race , they should turn down the aggression.
So far RiMS is the best Ai for me , they actually back off , but that game has other issues like easy being damn hard lol! & the workshop mode being overly tedious.

It's in the game now. Well, it's DLC (Extreme performance pack). but if you have the Special edition of the game it's free.
I don't like the endurance races over all on this they are just too long and it gets boring I prefer ride 3 endurance races where it was a certain amount of laps not based on time that's just my personal opinion

People need to stop complaining about it being hard it’s a simulation racing game I expect it to be hard. If you don’t want a hard racing game then don’t buy a simulation racing game.

Made the mistake buying this game I thaught it would have atleast a arcade elements to it , it doesn't, Bassiclly a sim so if you want a fun, easy to control racer ,don't get this game .
I gave this game a good chance but it’s ridiculously hard. Sure you get better at riding no pun intended but upgrading your bike makes it even harder! The AI riders all copy your updated bike and race like a holes. Braking is crap you have to learn to brake up hill. The AI brakes perfect every time..
Get TT 2, Ride 2, Ducati 90th anniversary
Ride 4 is a mean game not feeling it at all, think it was rushed and they didn't bother testing for many tracks, southern 100 isn't mugello, tuning does nothing and it's all very glitchy with rider teleporting through seat and smudgy graphics
Are you serious that 2 months ago this game is still exactly as everyone complained about it? I was about to get the deluxe 20 dollar edition on psn store. I guess I wouldn't bother. I'm not buying a game to frustrate my life but to have fun with a considerable level of realism.
Honestly multiplayer is amazing real players to play against and they usually play better than ai.
All the bikes feel slower than ride 3
i track a real bike at a decently high level(a 1000 at that) and its physics REALLY arent great at all. Good enough but not that realistic

Bro you forgot the most important thing. So I went to buy this game and spend fifty bucks for it because I have some friends coming over for a party at my house and we all are bikers and end up being that this stupid game doesn't have multiplayer split screen. Am I like the only one who has friends who come over to the house to play? Come on man that was freaking annoying honestly what a bummer. So then I downloaded right to and we played split split screen and there was literally three bikes to play and you can't choose a different bike from your friend like both of you need to be in the same bike it's just absolutely dumb. They only had Yamaha R1 ZX-10R and a CBR1000 just stupid as it gets impossible to buy a game and play with friends split screen multiplayer
The AI in this game is atrocious, infuriating utter madness.
I can't even play the game it's like i have had 13 paints and got on a motorbike I know I'm bad at games but f****** .
I brought ride 4 then immediately went back to ride 3, it’s less of a game now and more of a sim/try hard game.
I’ll stick to ride 3 and my actual motorbike.
The controls are absolutely trash. The PS4 has accelerometers in the controller why THE F doesn't this game use them? It's a nightmare of overcontrolling and even if it weren't UTTER garbage to control it seems like the AI is impossible anyway. I have unlimited hate for the controls by the way. Unlimited.
Were the Gran tourismo 7 we play a original drive simulation game?? I have ride 4 in ps5. Very difficult very stupid Ai system!! Very hard . You can't follow the line's you think you follow in the track. The back brake isnt good. If you set up manual transmission you dont have the Extra tuning power.!! I don't know why!!🤔Anyway . 6,5/10 from me.👎 And i spending 100€ 😢

And if the power cut for one reason after what!? You play all the race again?? Stupid game . And if you play super motard bikes. Only you laugh!! I DELETED THIS TRASH GAME AND IT FEELS GOOD! A game should be fun not frustrating. Why it's easier to ride motorcycles irl than in this game?! No, seriously why?? That doesn't make any sense!!
AI also overpowered AF even in easiest difficulty! They always just ram you when you are trying to corner like you are not there, made you fall and you won't be able to catch up to them ever again! Why?! Wtf with this design?!
Thank god I also have Grid Legends game now that is the racing game that is fun and friendly! I'm hoping there will be a motorcycle racing game that is fun and overall friendly for everyone in the future!
PS: Even Elden Ring's difficulty and learning curve isn't as frustrating as this game and that game is considered one of the most hardest games to ever existed but nope Ride 4 stands above all of those games of all genres.

I just got Ride 4 last month and my only complaint is literally the mindless AI. Other than that, I absolutely love this game.
Feels heavy
Dealership is broken and allows me to waste money purchasing bikes I already own. Then I do not have two of the same bikes in my garage. I was expecting a racing game not a driving tutorial. Right out of the box there is no racing. A tutorial should be optional.
