As a long time Minecrafter, I've been absolutely addicted to Lego FN. IMO the game feels like it's own thing. Combat is fun and challenging. They will need more enemies for long term play. Build mode needs an absolute overhaul. An added grid mode for consistency across all builds, nudging up and down, and basic small pieces are a must. In it's current state there is no longevity for builders.
The way Lego Fortnite beats Minecraft for me is if they go more of the Terraria route with progression and bosses and is like a hybrid of both. This probably won’t happen tho

I hate the comparison of these 2 games, they are similar in the fact that they are blocky survival games but they are far from the being exactly the same as each other. It's similar to the argument of Terraria and Minecraft being the same even though they are completely different.
Totally agree, but I think it's definitely caught the eye of MC players. It's like a breath of fresh air for me, a java player. I'm doing cross-play with people I couldn't play with before.

Lego Fortnite toppling Minecraft is sadly kinda realistic with the way Microsoft and Mojang have been going with the game with things like disappointing updates that take far too long to develop (I mean, development of games does take time but it shouldn't take over 4 years to add a stupid little bag) meanwhile Lego Fortnite has a whole lot of stuff in the files ready to be added to the game
i dont think it will become as good as minecraft at its peak, yet i dont think its worse than now. the way that minecraft is going down because of microsoft is sad and its falling off hard

There will only ever be so many players playing Lego Fortnite when there are other things to do in the same game. It cant beat mincraft mojang has modders on there side and the reason minecraft lasts longer without updates its because minecraft can last long we act like getting a update every few months is bad when its perfectly fine if your bored go play so mods or play with friends minecraft is a special game that even lego fortnite cant take down
Lego fortnite is a survival game & relies off of good content. Minecraft is popular & good BECAUSE of it's community making servers and mods and other content.
There are both good it’s just Minecraft as more things and Lego so I’m going play Minecraft until Lego add more things to do I beat the game I did everything I could but there nothing to do so I say Minecraft for now but give Lego Fortnite a chance in November

8 months later, things have MASSIVELY changed. As a long time Minecrafter, I enjoy playing Lego FN more
