Indeed, there are 3-5 Bibles at my mother-in-law's house that are collecting dust and are not read by anyone there. It's interesting to note that while the Bible is recognized as the best-selling book, it is also considered the least read. This paradox is quite puzzling.

It seems satan has been busy throughout the ages. Praise God for granting these men, throughout history , the wisdom from the holy spirit. So now we are able to freely( for now) read the bible, God's holy word.

I had the honor of meeting Dr. Lampe and receive a signed copy of his book, while they toured through North Carolina with the Dead Sea Scrolls. Truly a treasure of the Kingdom of Light.

The first demand of Jesus’ public ministry was, “Repent.” He spoke this command indiscriminately to all who would listen. It was a call for radical inward change toward God and man.
We see this again in the way Jesus taught his disciples to pray. He said that they should pray, “Forgive us our sins, for we ourselves forgive everyone who is indebted to us” (Luke 11:4). In other words, sins that God forgives are compared to the ones people commit against us, and those are called debts.
Therefore, Jesus’ view of sin was that it dishonored God and put us in debt to restore the divine honor we had defamed by our God-belittling behavior or attitudes. That debt is paid by Jesus himself. “The Son of man came . . . to give his life a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45). But for us to enjoy that gift he says we must repent.
We can repent without the Holy Spirit...
The Holy Spirit is our "Helper" to keep the Laws of YeHoVaH.

Jewish people don't "convert". If they believe in Yeshua, then they believe what they have read in the Tanach (TORAH, NEVIIM, KTUVIM). They already believed in the GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. And they believed in the realization of what the Prophets had told them. Let me make this clear, there was no "conversion". "Conversion" is a Roman Catholic construct. "Converting" also involved adopting the pagan syncretizing of the True Faith in Yeshua.
The only true "conversion" were the Gentiles who had worshiped false gods and deities and those who did not believe in the GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Amos 9:7 presents the comparison between the Israelites and the Cushites: “Are you not like the Cushites to me, O Israel, declares YeHoVaH?”
Cushites are mentioned often in the Bible, In Jeremiah 13:23 we find the rhetorical question ‘can the Ethiopian [the actual word used here is ‘Cushite’] change his skin?’, in an obvious referral to the dark skin of that people. Cushites that we read about in the Bible include. Moses’ wife (Numbers 12:1). There was also a curse of leprosy put upon Moses' sister Miriam for contending with Zipporah due to her color. (YeHoVaH does not like racism!)
In the New Testament, we read about two important people who in all likelihood were dark skinned. The first one is the Ethiopian court official (Acts 8:27) who gets baptized. He might very well be the beginning of the ancient Ethiopian church. The second one is Simon Niger (Niger means ‘black’), one of the church leaders in Antioch.
There might be quite a few more dark skinned people in the Bible. For example when Israel went out of Egypt, a ‘mixed multitude’ went with them (Exodus 12:37-38), which likely included dark skinned people as well. But as skin color is not an important issue to God, it is never explicitly mentioned in the Bible whether someone is black, brown, or white.

Romans also had slaves for over 400 years. How many of these slaves were light skinned? There are still debt slaves all around the world.

If I understand this passage, in the latter times, like our times a leader from Greece will stand up, and he shares some of the same characteristics of the little horn and the beast.

The Beast was Rome, and the woman riding it was faithless Israel, who was a bride of the LORD, but turned Harlot & the LORD divorced her, His real Bride then being revealed as The Church, with Christ as Bridegroom.
Now, the papacy may function as an anti-christ in the sense of placing itself "instead of Christ" or "in the place of Christ" like claiming that you MUST go through the RCC to "get access to Jesus".
I'll agree the Roman Catholic Church does say that, in that sense they're "anti-christ".
The other sense of anti-christ is the "spirit that denies that Christ has come in the flesh" or denying the incarnation of Jesus.

The Rev 13 beast is not just a revived Roman Empire and that's it. While the Papacy is in Rome it's the spiritual power which we know comes from Satan. It was not an is not Israel and Rome. True spiritual Israel is the Church. Rome was a country. Why Rome played a part in prophecy at the time. It's the spiritual side that's at play at the end of time. (As Jesus smashed earthly kingdom as The stone who smashed The ten toes at His birth, and brought the kingdom of heaven to earth in all believers) The harlot is the mixing of all the world's religions and you will notice the Rev 13 beast is a mix of the other beasts in Daniel. And it's Satan giving it's power. So the Papacy will lead all world religions against true Christianity empowered by many nations to do so.

I do get confused about transubstantiation. I was raised to believe that communion is symbolic, but recently I read the works of Justin Martyr and he taught that the bread and wine literally become the flesh and blood of Christ. That was Second Century. So far I am Protestant, but I often worry about doing the right thing.

With the history of the Catholics being so bad what's to say that they have ever changed? I still feel and always have felt like the Catholic religion isn't really close to God. I mean people go to confession boost to be absolved of their sins by priests and that's not even possible. Only Jesus or God can absolve you of sin.
