  • Elektron Digitone is handling the melodic and bass parts of the performance, with a few percussive elements thrown in as sound locks. But the main drum and percussion parts are coming from an iOS and Android app called Koala. Digitone is controlling and sequencing the Koala App on an iPad with a USB to lightning adapter. The audio from Koala is being sent back via USB Audio and mixed in with the Digitone.
    Throughout the video, FX are being manipulated manually in Koala using the iPad App. When new sounds are introduced with Koala, a screen recording will come up to show how the Digitone's internal midi tracks are sequencing Koala.

    This is so good - really shows off how well the DN and ipad works together. Thanks for taking the time to show what you're doing in Koala too.

    How are you setting up the whole thing? I'm trying to sequence Koala on my Syntakt, and while I can get the Syntakt pads to play Koala's samples, I can't get the sequencer to trigger Koala's samples and when I press play it tries to play Koala's own recorded sequences instead.

    Is the digitone controlling koala?

    Do you need the app AUM to sync them together?

    • @strangestrains.
      @strangestrains. 3 года назад +3

      No you do not. You just need a Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter. Koala has MIDI settings inside. Also, I was not sending MIDI Clock, I was using the MIDI sequencer on the Digitone to trigger the samples in Koala. AUM is a really dope app though, it definitely expands your capabilities.

      @@strangestrains. hi!
      Amazing performance and beautiful video 🔥
      I have a Model:Cycle that i would love to sync with my AUM.
      I think i have to sync de M:C with audiobus first to be really in sync, cause now the sync is horrible...
      Do you have a tip about how to connect an elektron device inside aum without latency?
