Appreciate the video, thanks! Just a tip for the future; try setting the exposure of the camera you’re shooting with to the brightest part of the scene, so you’re going to want to expose for the highlights. You can always recover shadows in post-processing, but you can never recover highlights if you overexpose. It was difficult to follow along with the Digitakt screen being so overexposed that you can just make out what it’s displaying. Sorry for the constructive criticism, just trying to help! (I’m a professional photographer)
Thanks. I appreciate it. I'm definitely not a pro at photography/video and really struggled with this one. I've been generally using the 'auto' functions, but it didn't work out here.
Thanks! Great tutorial. One more thing to show would be how the LFO can change the selected CC values over time, giving you pretty much automatic filter sweeps. Otherwise I think you covered most of the stuff. I've also been wondering if the MIDI channels on the Digitone are as easy to control, because then you could use the built in arp of the Digitone to control the external synths along with the CC-values. I use the Digitakt to control my NTS-1 and because it has no onboard memory, it doesn't even remember what I had setup for the sound if I cycle power. With the Digitakt I can program patches for the NTS-1 by just saving some default values for the CC-values as a track. When I load it, it will recall it and recreate the patch on the NTS-1.
I have a 8 part multitimbral synth and a master keyboard. I would like to drive the Digitakt with the masterkey to play the notes easier than on DT keys. So i connected the DT with the masterkey. The DT out is connected the synth directly and I use 9-16 CH on the synth. Althought there is a looping issue, because I don't know how to configure DT to receive the midi messages but forward to the 9-16CH to the synth. What is your idea?
Thank you for this!!! How would I send Clock messages out to a synth and trigger a Sequence(from the synth) during a particular part of a Pattern and Not at the beginning of a Pattern??
Hmmm... I think you would have to actually program in the notes. I don't think there's an easy way to just hold down the chord and have the digitakt play an Arp... But I might have missed that feature.
wow it just clicked for me that the decimal/unit for length is measured in steps :p ty for awesome vid
Thanks
Thank YOU! Really appreciate it.
You are welcome, it doesn't hurt me because you have helped me!@@braintree56
YEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSS, thanks again been holding my breath. I am learning along with your vids so thanks again.
Great to hear!

That's a great idea about the NTS-1, I might do the same.
+1 to explaining the LFO page of the MIDI tracks, e.g. the possible destinations
Great idea!
Can you Copy + Paste from sample track to Midi track and have the same note length, amplitude etc?

Nicely done!
I think this would be a great way of programming arps from virtual synths
Yeah, you could do that! Control everything from the Digitakt!

Unfortunately, I'm not sure that's possible....
@@braintree56 ok. Thank you
MIDI hardware. Or am I getting to impatient. I got mine with a monologue the the other day. And I can’t remember how
Is there no midi learn on the actual digitakt?
Supercool
Thanks!
how you we do an arp ??
