Ty ! In fact after this (this last summer) I filmed the job start to finish - with every detail - I’ve been really poor at putting this up - I should edit and do so ... as there are a lot of stages after this one - that we didn’t film here ... if anyone is interested so just send me a message and I’ll try and get around to doing it at some point !
Thank god you had a lot of room behind the machine, i can't imagine what it'd be like doing it where the machine is something like 20 inches away from the wall
Hi there - I’m sorry for the delay in replying - I don’t know ! I spoke to Girbau Uk recently - and they said their engineers have the tool kits on their vans but they don’t rent them out, so it appears you have to pay them to change the bearings. I can imagine if the machine is old - that may mean scrapping the machine becomes the only viable option. I did video much more detail when we did a bearing change a few years later - I keep meaning to edit this into a video as I’m sure it would be of help, and I videod all the tools in detail so you could take a stab at fabricating your own. I think most of them one could work round in fact - as although. Useful - quite a few could be cobbled together out of other things … I must do this it clearly would be of help . Seeing the analytics on this video (first time I’ve ever looked !) lots and lots of people have looked at it so I guess it would be very helpful for others… if you hit the need for it and I haven’t yet done it drop me a message . Very happy to send a copy of the instructions for Girbau for example …
James Bae hi there ! I’m afraid I don’t. I have taken a lot of video when we did the job recently however on these machines - and learnt a lot more of the detail which I should edit together into a video and upload. Although this was of some help (10 years later!) 10 years ago we didn’t record any of the detail which would have saved us so much faffing about - but this time we did ! We found the Girbau manual almost incomprehensible, and didn’t earn one with the “gotchas” which became obvious often later in the process. Sorry I can’t be of any real help .
I am one of those people changing bearings on a large washer, so it was very helpful
Good work man well done proper use of tools. Very nice video.
I must say this is quite detailed, i hope it will help some people replace the bearings on their machines if they decide to do it themselves

Hi Jonny. Where can you get the tool kit now? Girbau doesn't have it anymore.
