Gotta appreciate how the Bog King wasn't a bad guy, he just truly believed that no one should be FORCED to love someone else with a love potion. So he guarded the plants that made it and only in a weird way only took Dawn for her protection. To have time to find an antidote. Sad that if he had tried to just say all that clearly, no one would of believed him.

I honestly can't see why this is so hated, yeah it parodies cliches, so do other movies, yeah, it's Lucas, so what? The Prequels were not bad, the animation is FAR better than critics give it credit for, I mean, just the sheer amount of time it must have taken to make sure all the hairs look right, the glowing for Sugar Plum, the almost bark like scales on the Bog King, it's honestly a damn good movie, a bit erratic at time, but still fun.
It was the marketing for the movie. Lucas wanted the movie to be focused on the fairies but have you seen the DVD or movie covers? It's all Bog's servants and his mother. No Marieanne or Bog or anything main.
Honestly I love it too. It has some problems, but I feel most people just hate it cause of the number of the songs. I don't mind but I'm a bollywood fan so I might be biased. Even if you don't like the number, I do think Lucas picked good songs to cover and got great singers to cover them.
"I dunno, I expected... More?" Bog's face at that xD! Thinking like: "More?.. Is she legit flirting... with ME?!" Also, Alan is an awesome voice option for him.
Little flirty things I just noticed •at 1:04 they both blow their hair back up into place •marianne’s little wrist flick when she asks bog if “that’s all he’s got” •just all of the constant smiles and laughs as they fight •both bog and Marianne smile at his “oooo” comment when she gets super close
Love is an action. Arranged marriage spouses can learn to love each other and people who "fall in love and get married" can have mistaken affection for love. You choose to love someone. You always choose. Anyone who tells you different has never fully loved someone. Some people make it easier but it's still a choice.
@@TonytheCapeGuy hell nah you've never been in love and it shows. No one usually chooses to be in love, otherwise it would be easy for people to stop loving someone who hurts them or makes them unhappy or that they're not supposed to love.
@@EveTheRaviolo as someone who has been in multiple long term relationships of 10+ years, have been married to a childhood sweetheart and then divorced I disagree. It is easy to fall in love and love somebody but once you live with someone and actually KNOW them it can be VERY hard to stay IN love with someone. People initially fall in love with a variety of things in or about a person but once you get to actually know that person those feelings can change over time. Everyone changes as they grow older too from our beliefs and values to the things we are passionate about and over time due to those changes you can grow apart because of it. Also life circumstances can also change how you feel towards someone over time. Sickness, poverty, disaster. It's so easy to believe your love won't change if one moment you live healthy lives then the next moment your partner is sick or disabled and relied on you solely for support. Imagine how isolating it feels to have to solely take care of a sick partner with little to know outside support? Sometimes even though you know the situation isn't your partners fault you can feel resentful. You still love them but your resentment of the situation can actually cause you to fall out of love. I've personally known a couple who were together for decades and divorced because they couldn't handle their partners needs after they got sick and it drove them apart. How bout something more relatable if that doesn't work? Kids. Kids change everything about your relationship overnight. It's easy for one partner to become consumed with the kids and the other one with work or something else. Oftentimes, the person doing most of the child rearing starts feeling resentful of the other partner not pitching in and the other partner may not feel bonded anymore because their partner changed after having kids both physically and mentally. In my situation I met a boy at 10 years old we were best friends and grew up together and dated after we hit 12 years old we were together till 14. We broke up before high school, but stayed friends then got back together senior year and got married after graduating. Long story short we were together after getting back together 5 years before divorcing (by then we were 22). It was amicable for the most part. We grew up and apart, he wanted children, I couldn't have any at the time and honestly didn't want any till later, he had a more conservative value system, and I didn't share his value system. Out of initial love we divorced and that was the best thing we could do honestly. We don't talk anymore both of us agreed to not maintain a relationship for a variety of reasons I won't go into. He's got a kid now, remarried shortly after we divorced and that was that. Met a man online and we've been together almost 10 years now and we do have a child together. Things are wonderful and we have grown a lot together. But to say that there weren't times we considered breaking up during the 10 years together would be disingenuous. There were multiple times where we contemplated breaking up for a variety of reasons. Ultimately, we always choose to stay together and work on our relationship when things get tough and it always worked out but that was ultimately a choice when it came down to it at the end of the day. Love IS work and it is a choice you make that ultimately keeps your love alive and thriving if you don't nurture your love then it's not going to thrive. You can love someone and ultimately choose to end a relationship, in fact I would argue it may be the most loving act you can do if you realize your relationship just isn't good to continue together.
Romantic love is a fabricated concept by our society. It is inherently a weird mix of obsession, admiration and infatuation. Also platonic love thrown into it but platonic love can be felt towards anyone
Lets list what makes this scene have so much sexual tension...its alot 1. Tango music. 2. 00:23 Marianne gives Bog a spectacular view of what is under her tunic. 3. Literally chasing each other in circles. Metaphorically to humans, it means love. In Nature it mean that they are going to have sex, or at least consider it. 4. 00:43 Bog smiles, and again 00:48, and again......................................... 5. 1:34 Contact. As in for tango contact.Tango. 6. 1:48 Bog's posture is straighter. Pretty much from this point here. 7. Marianne Laughing and smiling. 8. 2:22 Extra close contact.... ;) 9. 2:22 'Oooooo' ;) if you catch bog's drift. 10. 2:32 'More' ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) 11. 2:35....driving her up a wall I see.
That oooooo at 2:20 is easily the most loaded moment of the whole scene! Rawr! Half expect them to drop the weapons and go for it right there if this wasn't a kids movie.
This is such a feel good movie. Cheesy as all hell, but damn, it makes me happy. And I didn't even know of its existence until a few days ago, thanks to an article on Tor's site. I can see why some people may have issues with it, but I just irrationally love this movie to bits. Especially for Marianne and Bog. :)
You can totally tell if you watch this immediately fall in love and they are stupid enough to not know. Or admit. But it's still so cute!!! Especially as he comments on her fighting and even smiles! *****

Can't believe I've watched this movie only today it's too much fun shipping these two and actually win for a change (not like it wasn't obvious but still it's nice to have this from time to time)
the second Marianne entered the dark forest to save her sister i started fantasizing about her and the Bog King being together and thought that they're perfect for each other. little did i know that my intuition was right and dude i was 12 f*ckin years old
It’s funny but about the time in the movie they were talking and she told him about her ex I turned to my husband and whispered, “Why do I get the feeling they’re going to end up together and that it will in turn bring an alliance to their kingdoms?” Spot on!
He's the first one to appreciate her fighting skill. He compliments her style and the way she handles the sword while everyone else kind if tried to get her to put it away and be a sweet dainty girl
0:42 Bog going, "Impressive" at Marianne's tenacity and energy, he was genuinely impressed..... But with a hint of attraction and he didn't even know it. BUT I DID AND ALREADY I WAS SHIPPING THEM CUZ C'MON!!
"Ask him, he'll appreciate it" We all know that when a friend asks you to tell something to an authority/ask an authority a question for them, they're just trying to shift any backlash onto you
Beauty and the Beast, basically. They'd probably still have fallen in love but more in Stockholm Syndrome fashion, while the Fairy King would amass his own army to rescue her like Gaston got ready to storm the Beast's castle.
I love how the longer they fight, the more he gets impressed by her.

100% agree! This movie needs way more credit than it got
I didn't know this movie existed until a few weeks ago and I absolutely adore it, I wish it was more appreciated
It was the marketing for the movie. Lucas wanted the movie to be focused on the fairies but have you seen the DVD or movie covers? It's all Bog's servants and his mother. No Marieanne or Bog or anything main.
Agreed. A bit weird at times (it was this fight that got me to watch this film) but in a good way.
Honestly I love it too. It has some problems, but I feel most people just hate it cause of the number of the songs. I don't mind but I'm a bollywood fan so I might be biased. Even if you don't like the number, I do think Lucas picked good songs to cover and got great singers to cover them.

is it wrong of me to think that hes kinda cute when he says "impressive" and when he says "i can do this all day" he sounds like shrek

+X-ile Elegance ommgggg soul mate :3
Shadowed Goddesses HAHAHA YAH!!!!!
I still can't find the part where the actual fighting turned into play-fighting. It's like their flirting started as soon as the fight began
Marcy Stevonshy well both of them are kinda cocky when it comes to fighting, cocky to flirty is a easy transition
02:27+02:28+02:29+02:30+02:31
They seemed to begin fight-flirting around the middle of the song😂😂😂
O no not another princess well at least your not singing
IM COMING STRAIGHT ON FOR YOU!
weak af
Cute CatGaming funny
Instantly, his mind went aw fuck... At least she's cute.
XD
"I dunno, I expected... More?"
Bog's face at that xD! Thinking like: "More?.. Is she legit flirting... with ME?!"
Also, Alan is an awesome voice option for him.
Little flirty things I just noticed
•at 1:04 they both blow their hair back up into place
•marianne’s little wrist flick when she asks bog if “that’s all he’s got”
•just all of the constant smiles and laughs as they fight
•both bog and Marianne smile at his “oooo” comment when she gets super close
They both kind of realized they're kindred spirits
to be fair, if you're going to bust into a guy's castle to get your sister, that war cry totally suits the occasion.
Yeah and that look on the Bog King’s face when Marianne busted in as soon as he grabbed his staff was priceless. As if he’s saying, “Oh shit!!!”
The way he says "noOoo!" @ 01:43 lmao
This had me questioning love as a concept as a kid, i still question it today
Well, Love is... Complicated, just got to make your thought & answer of what Love is
Love is an action.
Loved this movie! They did a great job of mixing the right songs with the story line.. Bought the DVD and the soundtrack..
Lets list what makes this scene have so much sexual tension...its alot
8. 2:22 Extra close contact.... ;)
9. 2:22 'Oooooo' ;) if you catch bog's drift.
10. 2:32 'More' ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
11. 2:35....driving her up a wall I see.
2. made me laugh when i clicked it bc i was expecting the part where she crashes through the window for some reason xD lovely list my friend
They were never in an actual tango hold...but still
Brilliant young one
X3
That oooooo at 2:20 is easily the most loaded moment of the whole scene! Rawr! Half expect them to drop the weapons and go for it right there if this wasn't a kids movie.
I ship this, and this is my FAVORITE part in the movie
not going to lie this was a hell of a movie. i like the bad guy and his development was amazing
What movie is this?
@@I_Dont_Mean_To_Be_Racist_But strange magic
@@I_Dont_Mean_To_Be_Racist_But just mind that this movie contains a LOT of singing
@@Ogletort got it, thx
Yeah me too just found it and enjoy it my only criticism is the dawn love conclusion and the weird psychedelic ending
this is going to make for a very interesting marriage.... one of my favorite couples though.
A very interesting marriage...........i think the ppl wont enjoy it so much......🤔🙄😰
Kiera Hawke YESSSS
0:04 One of the greatest battle cries in cinematic history
Marianne singing is just epic!!!
I love their chemistry
i like how when she almost wakes up the minion just runs in to put her back to sleep

AHHH
This is such a feel good movie. Cheesy as all hell, but damn, it makes me happy. And I didn't even know of its existence until a few days ago, thanks to an article on Tor's site.
I can see why some people may have issues with it, but I just irrationally love this movie to bits. Especially for Marianne and Bog. :)
You can totally tell if you watch this immediately fall in love and they are stupid enough to not know. Or admit. But it's still so cute!!! Especially as he comments on her fighting and even smiles! *****
Totally. Re watching it for the third time... I am so happy about this movie!!!
+Maka Flynn same
Bog's singing voice is great! Alan Cumming did an amazing job!
+Ally Ball I couldn't believe it was even him playing that part, especially after watching him on The Good Wife, didn't realize he could sing, but thought he was so cute in this movie :)
Katherine Korytkowski Yeah I'm totally with you
Alan cumming is a great actor. Watch him on the miniseries tin man and x2. Its a shame he refused to return for xmen the last stand.
Sie sind so verschieden aber doch so gleich und deshalb sind sie einfach so ein gutes Paar und wie gemacht für einander 😊.
Best duel of the YEAR!!!
So true
I loved this film, I watch it whenever I just want a good time. I adore his mother so much
The best Scene of the Movie :D I love the moment he falls for her at 0:40
Schokofussel Bold of you to assume he didn’t immediately fall in love when she punched him earlier in the movie
This movie is criminally underrated :/ I really wish it did well so we could enjoy a sequel of it
Mom sizing this lady up in the background like YEP She’s perfect!
I'm 35 and I love.... this movie ♡♡♡♡♡

Bob king: Oh no nit another princess. Well at least YOUR not singing!
* Mariane breaks into song XD!
there's so much sass between these two! XD
pause at 02:31 she be like:
hunny U not talk to me or I'm gonna slap \('- ') U ('- ')/ up
I finally saw the whole movie now I’m in love with it
The bad guy has amazing eyes
Lilyliondragon bog's not the villain, Roland is
I thought I was the only one who say that! Thank you!
Her bursting through the glass and war screaming is an awesome moment- Marianne is badass
In the recent Light of The movie "Wish", People CLEARLY judged this movie too harshly.
This movie is so criminally underrated😕
Ikr!!! I feel like if it came out later on or it payed more attention to the fandom I feel like we could’ve gotten a sequel :/
Two things; 1 the bog king's accent is adorable. 2: Holy crap this song is bloody amazing! I love the combination of flirting and fighting.
0:42 Bog going, "Impressive" at Marianne's tenacity and energy, he was genuinely impressed..... But with a hint of attraction and he didn't even know it. BUT I DID AND ALREADY I WAS SHIPPING THEM CUZ C'MON!!
"Ask him, he'll appreciate it"
We all know that when a friend asks you to tell something to an authority/ask an authority a question for them, they're just trying to shift any backlash onto you
At 2:21 I almost expected this dialogue:
Bog: "You fight well... for a fairy!"
Marianne: "I could say the same for you!"
Ah yes the animated movie that felt like an anime musical
What is it actually?
Anyone else wonder what might of happened if Marianne had been taken instead of Dawn?
I keep thinking this days now.............
Beauty and the Beast, basically. They'd probably still have fallen in love but more in Stockholm Syndrome fashion, while the Fairy King would amass his own army to rescue her like Gaston got ready to storm the Beast's castle.
ME
Bobbi I think she would have kicked his A$$ then gained his respect maybe friendship and Ally in arms
She'd probably already have killed him
This movie had so much potential, I almost want a remake of it and see if it does well
This movie is so unbelievably cheesy I love it
this is legit the best movie ever they show the modern breakup and also the aftermath thru animation
Fantastic movie! I just saw it in 2024.
Same! and I’m OBSESSED-
Same yesterdaay @@keypath5340
i tried this at home. when my sister and uncle arguing i suddenly sang, they look at me and i was like " What the heck? did i just did? "
Marianne literally learned to use a sword that good after playing fruit ninja with tiny nymphs
One of the best underrated movies
Omfg, i'd love so much a book with the plot of the film!
Would you believe the inspiration was "A Midsummer Night's Dream"?
@James Cheddar 🤣
Words can’t express how much I love this ship
I dunno, I was expecting............more?

Well, time to rewatch this movie.
I love her smashing through the roof, probs the best scene
