  • This tutorial video demonstrates how to replace a side mirror on a Dodge Challenger. Only basic tools are required although "trim friendly" prying tools are recommended. Difficulty is about intermediate because you have to remove the door panel, use some dexterity in hard to reach places and risk damaging class A surfaces. However with some care and patience it is totally doable. The job shouldn't take more than 2 hours to complete with 2 people. It took me 1.5 hours and we hadn't done it before. It should take you a little longer if you're doing it yourself.

    Watching this video has reassured to me why I need to take it over to the dealership for them to replace. Thank you!

    Do you need some type of glue to put the vapor barrier thing back up?

    • @ChrisCamaro
      @ChrisCamaro  Год назад +2

      No, the vapour barrier comes with it's own tar-like adhesive bead. You just have to try your best not to damage it when you take it off. As long as you don't get grass and shit all over it, you can just press it back down onto the sheet metal and it will stick just fine.

      I'm sorry if I didn't mention it in the video but I no longer have access to this vehicle to check. If you have any cheapo socket set though I can guarantee that you won't have a problem. It's not an unusual size.

      @@autocad3227 Thanks for helping with that. Based on that weird fraction, my guess is it's metric, 8mm.
