This is a cool interpretation. Especially since so much of STP was rock rooted in jazz :) she sounds smooth and the piano sounds so amazing
I mean, STP themselves did lounge versions of their songs. The lounge version of Sex Type Thing is great!
Thank you for mentioning the jazz influence in STP. And So I Know from Tiny Music is a great example and the first example that comes to my mind.
As a lover of the original, this was a great interpretation. I am from New Orleans, so jazz is in my soul, and the piano and sax was the perfect way to showcase this track. It was different, but in the greatest way. Don’t compare this to STP, it’s a different thing!!

This is a horrendous vocal cover. The instrumental is a nice artistic take. I dig the sax as lead... Maybe they could put some more crap on her vocals in post and make it palatable.

it makes me realize more so today how insanely great and talented Weiland and band was. Vasoline was basically a song they wrote in 15 minutes to fill space on album, and it was a hit.

Great rendition of this song. For any hard core STP fans... all theirs songs have some jazz infused into the melody, therefore is not wonder this jazzy take sounds so natural and true to the original.

Female singers tend to lack depth and emotion when they cover male rock songs. Yes, she hits the notes but doesn't come close to the emotion.
