    JM needs to understand that there will be times where the police will not go to an accident if there are no injuries because they don't have the time. Also, most of the time, the police will just take witness statements because they didn't witness the accident themselves, and they won't bother doing any sort of investigation to determine fault. The police report is nothing but a document stating the 'he said/he said'.

    • @KSakamoto
      @KSakamoto Месяц назад

      Part of that is what she was saying, you want the police to hear the person admitting fault.
      I had exactly that happen to me. The guy in the work truck hits me, apologizes, admits fault to the police, and then goes back to his work and tells them I hit him.
      The police report with him admitting fault to the officer is the reason he didn’t get away with it.

      @@Tuturu708 It's not too judgmental at all. Even if the cops refused to come to the scene, the attempt alone "could" help vindicate a person, as it indicates the person was trying to prove the other's wrongdoing. It was a bad, immature move and the judge was right to scold them.

    I can tell from experience, that local cops in my town, Orlando, do not come to simple accidents like this as I have been told by the 911 dispatcher because they have deemed out of their obligation and have remanded that to FHP. You could wait hours before they show. They treat it as a priority. Unless there are injuries or worse no one is showing up. They want drivers to deal with it themselves. That's why I don't think the judge's rant about waiting for cops applies today.

    I won't lie, I wouldn't want to go into court either, much less one that was aired on national TV. I'm not fond of being on camera (hated taking those damn yearly school photos) and would otherwise look like an idiot, most likely. If I were going to TPC, I wouldn't be going as part of the case - I'd be there to watch as an audience member.
    Though idk...I feel like work and school should be priority? I know they're supposedly his friends, but when you've got school assignments and a paid income, you can't just drop that for a court case - even if you were a witness. Tbh, if it were me, I would've had to decline for this as well, along with the reason I gave above: I am uncomfortable being shown on camera. Sorry, bud, but I've got tests to study for and money to keep a roof over my head. If you're not guilty, you'll be okay. But if you are, then I'm not gonna protest for ya. I would treat going to court as a friend's witness as "doing business" - it's too risky and could ruin the friendship. :/ ESPECIALLY if they lose the case or they're lying and I have to tell the truth while standing on their side.

    I think the narrator at the beginning of the videos does a little bit too much ad-libbing because there's no way all these different people use the insult "louse" when they are writing their statement to the court.
    I've never ran into a person who uses louse as an insult on the regular but almost every other case on here they have one party describing the other as a louse.

      Well I don't believe the defendant because he never got the plaintiff's information after the accident, he didn't call the police, and he didn't get any written statements from the two witnesses who were in the car with him..

  • @DanLee8884
    @DanLee8884 Месяц назад

    I disagree with the judge. What she said could be right but the defendant not being experienced could have also made the mistake of not asking for information or calling the cops. Sure he also didn't bring his friends but he was forthright about him not seeing where the plaintiff was. If he was intent on covering himself, he wouldn't have said that. His argument is, "I dont know what happened but it isn't what the plaintiff is claiming." Totally feasible. He could have been waiting for the bus to finish the turn and plaintiff cut him off. I have seen people who can't seem to wait a sec do that. His car is a sign that the plaintiff is not the type of person who waits. I ought judges are supposed to use evidence presented and not mothers intuition. The plaintiff had the burden of proof and he didn't have it. As much as the defendant made mistakes, so did he. No police report not picture from accident location.
