A legendary song which suddenly sounds very nice from GDay. Very compatible with their common style. It could have been their special cover like Metallica and Last Caress e.g.
Punk and Blues is literally two sides of the same coin. One is the freedom of soul/spirituality while the other one is freedom of individual/free from the oppressing system
Excellent rendition and to pay tribute to Chuck as well. If you guys got time, check out Jimi Hendrix’s live version of Johnny. YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED.

There are 2 ways this is your first song: 1:You played just exercises for a while that are no actually songs 2: You are a born guitar god. Personally i think Armstrong was a bit lying about that.

Damn millennials lol
Best comment I’ve read in years.
You recorded in landscape. THANK YOU.
Loved that Green Day honored Chuck
I'd kill to hear a studio cover of this.
They recorded one during the 39/Smooth sessions but it didn’t make the album
@@nickparadies350 Oh really? Maybe it'll make it into a compilation one day.
Green Day might make simple music, but BJ Armstrong is actually a very good guitar player
Anthony Sclafani *good songwriter
Rhythm and lead guitar ocassionely. In fact, he's better than Kurt Cobain specifocally in lead.
@@mckinleylowman6412 personally I hate Kurt Cobain I don't find him a very good artist
Agree
It’s not like Johnny B Good is that complex...
But yeah, Billie is a good guitar player, and a great songwriter
Billie Joe even did the duckwalk! This was pretty fun.
Jonny B Goode, the National anthem of Rock & Roll!! by the great Chuck berry!!
Yes sir

Meg
Megazoid111 their special cover atm is Knowledge by Operation Ivy
Never would I ever thought I'd ever see Greenday playing classic rock with a punkish twist.
??? This is the foundation of everything they do.
If you listen closely, blues is found all throughout Green Day. Much more so than the precursor punk bands in most cases.
Punk and Blues is literally two sides of the same coin. One is the freedom of soul/spirituality while the other one is freedom of individual/free from the oppressing system
R.I.P Chuck.
I was there, it was awesome
The energy was amazing
A más de 60 años de haber sonado por primera vez, aún sigue retumbando este himno rockanrolero.
I got to see this live, amazing there first time playing it. rest in peace chuck berry
Who hasn't fantasized about playing guitar in a rocknroll band! And this song!started It all!
Tre does a fantastic job keeping it tight. Perfect!
woow first song he learned, its so hard im trying to learn it
TheUnknown it only has 3 chords Bb Eb and F
Love to trying learn it
Sroofikaden ahh well some of it were just improvised by using scales.
you learned?
It’s like anything else man-learn it at a slower pace and keep practicing til you nail the right pace
Excellent rendition and to pay tribute to Chuck as well. If you guys got time, check out Jimi Hendrix’s live version of Johnny. YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED.
He also did Sargent peppers
"Jimmy Hendrix" words in the context of guitar, it's NEVER dissapointing
Green Day never fail to amaze me, seen them 3 times and they never disappoint 😝
Best Johnny B Goode cover!
I guess you guys aren't ready for it, but your parents will love it
Love it.... Ur comment

I love green day and chuck berry
Wait I thought it was written by Calvin Klein... ?
Not written but first sang by him
In Italy was written by Levi Strauss

Rest in Peace Chuck Berry
If Chuck see this, he will smile 😊
Nah… he’d be cranky and mean. That’s Chuck.
Probably not. Chuck was an asshole lol
This is in London Ontario and they played it the day chuck berry died
They played it in
London Ontario but this is the Hamilton show.
I miss this
Amazing concert, I was there lol
Wow didn’t think you could do the duck walk with the strap that low but I guessed wrong
His duck walk was not like chuck but like Angus Young
Wow that’s heavy
There's that word again; "heavy". Why are things so heavy in the future? Is there a problem with the earth's gravitational pull?
Chuck is one of Billies hero’s.
Здорово 👍 делают сильнейшие рок 🎸 ролльщики
I was there too !
Rock n Roll Green Day❤❤❤❤

John Lennon once said, another name for Rock N’ Roll is Chuck Berry

💕💕💕
Yes yes ❤❤🎉RAa
Billie Joe sounds amazing
Marty McFly did stard rock n roll 😂😂
okay. I'll be honest i don't like his music that much but he is a really good guitar player.!!!
Billie Mcfly???
An atrocity for which the sulphur pits of Hades await the perpetrators.
That's so true! Chuck berry invented Heavy Metal! :)
how tf was this the first song he ever learned
It was 1,000s of players first song.
God that crowd is sleeping
When even a punk band admits Berry is god then I don’t know who disagrees
Why should punk bands disagree? Blues and therefore rock and roll is the very foundation of early punk rock.
Research Bill Haley. The 1 who started rock and roll..facts....peace
Rock Around the Clock!
cha cha slide

I prefer Michael J fox on this one..
no way was johnny b goode the first song he learned on guitar

Not to rain on anyone's parade but if it weren't for The Ramones none of this would be possible.....no disrespect to Chuck Berry

Chuck chuck it's your cousin Marvin Marvin Berry you know that knew sound you're looking for well listen to this!
Chuck used to set cameras up the the ladies toilets of his restaurant and watch them take a dump.....
@Gabriel el tipo ese It is true, but he was a rock & Roll genius, and no one can take that away from him, not even the haters!!
Seems like most of the audience took a lot of sedatives.
That crowd is a disgrace
как буд-то ворона какнула
Chops okay, but GD has zero texture - one density of sound the entire time.. zzzz.....
Crowd sucks
crap crowd. what was wrong with them
This guys has no idea who to spotlight
облажался на вступлении ...
Chuck Berry hätte sie erschlagen.Es gibt nur eine gute Version und die ist von 1958.
