Hi Pano, you really can be proud on what you have achieved. I’m sorry for you and the outlook not having paid work in the next weeks. Hopefully your request will result in additional work and income. Stay strong and healthy Best regards Roman
What an amazing and interesting build. I hope your private work situation will improve coming months. The economy is really slowing down due to many factors. Merry Christmas and Cheers.
In case you haven’t seen it already, I highly recommend Sailing Yabá. A young couple in Brazil is repairing a large boat to use as a platform for teaching scuba diving. They are helped by a bunch of older men who have built or repaired scores of boats using somewhat unconventional techniques. For instance establishing a waterline without using a laser level, not steaming any planks and a bunch or other interesting techniques!
I really enjoy your channel, it’s minus 7 today in Nova Scotia, Canada. You may need a potbelly wood stove or maybe the fireplace-wood-fire screen saver will make your office more cozy-looking, lol. Thank you for your videos, I appreciate them.
Thanks! It has been quite cold (super cold would be too much to say) this month. Currently it’s around -16°C. Been fighting with the insulation project and it has been frustrating… Hope to get a video of that soon but next is going to wait until I get that insulation done. Cannot use CNC or glue anything now…
Hei, taas yksi super mielenkiintoinen ja todella nautittava video, näitä voisin katsoa vaikka joka päivä, Hauskaa Joulua ja 24 on OK. 1956 luokan Suomen Laivasto matruusi, nyt Lunenburg, NS. Canada
That is FANTASTIC I am so pleased for your progress ! Best wishes, have a Great Christmas ( Keep Warm) Regarding Work it was slow here (in uk) during October and November but its been really busy through December.
Hi Pano, It wouldn't take much to make a router table for doing those little jobs, you can use the CNC to cut the recess and drop the router in from the top and clamp it from under the table, very simple for a man of capabilities. Doing it that way you don't need long cutters. Have a great Christmas.
So exciting to see the first piece of the boat in place. It’s interesting to me that the foundation pieces are not fixed in place. Are you anticipating that rigidity of the mold is sufficient to keep things in line if one of the foundation pieces gets bumped? Best wishes for the holiday season.
I was planning to fix them on the floor there but decided to do it later. So I will fix the foundation to the floor and molds on the foundation eventually. Although the pieces seem to fit perfectly I still want to keep them still. There’s bending and clamping involved that might move them.
Great Job! It is a little confusing when you are talking about some of the plywood being used for "molds" and others that will be actually part of the boat. I expect it will make sense as you get further along. Keep at it and get that darn insulation up!
I understand what you mean. The edges there are part of the boat but all the mid-pieces are just molds. At this stage they create unified structure but will be trimmed off eventually. I think I showed the principle with 3d model few episodes back…?
Hi Pano, concerning the insulation of your shed: Couldnt you just use the wood chips produced by your CNC in a layer between two plastic sheets ? I saw you just stapling them in bags...
Perhaps but on the long run not such a good idea. Wood chips inside two plastic is a doomed to rot/mold (of course the outer layer could be something else). Also, there's not that much chips. There's over 400sqm of area on the shed walls and roof. That would take more than few bags of chips! 😆 When writing this, majority of the roof has already the insulation installed. It's (again) bigger and slower job than I thought it would be... And it has been very cold lately - not interested to freeze myself that much. Right now there's -24°C.
The hull and rig design is by Tanton Yacht Design. The starting point was Millennium Falcon (link in description) and it's modified to wood-epoxy with double keels. Rest of it is my own. 🙃
Will the weight of the boat be resting on the end of the bolts? If so is that a concern? Merry Christmas, I really enjoy watching your build, your method is very interesting.
That’s called marketing. And there are several channels out there that fund their project this way. I’m not even close to that and probably never will. The time I’m using to make and film these videos is total waste of effort at the moment. Apparently that’s not your thing but thanks for watching! ☺️
Before I watch the video. MERRY Christmas !!! Now back to the video.

Super interesting technique for laying out a matrix for the frames to be erected on - looking forward to the fitting of the first frame 😃

Hi! I know the project but haven’t been able to follow it so far. I’ll check it out!
At last the advent of FRUITION!!! Well done Sir! I am empathising with your fantastically indescribable feelings!

You're brilliant, you know that, right? I just love your approach to this.
Like what you said
Wow, thank you!
Hello my friend Pano, I hope for beautiful Winter Weather, stay warm. Great music along with a chance to view your work...... Merry Christmas :)

😃
So glad you’re able to clarify that you’re not actually using the microwave to make tea!🤬
😂 although I’m not sure if the water knows how it’s warmed up…? 🤔
Um... the boats is upside down? That's the port side made surely?
The leveling system works great. Its like a gigantic puzzle.
I love your excitement at the success of this significant milestone
That’s a big boat.
Well done, it takes a lot of time and money to build a boat. I will build an expedition yacht from aluminum myself next year

Good to hear! I really hope this is temporary. But no signs of turning better yet…
Congratulations on laying down the first piece of your boat.
More of the genius at work. I always learn something and these videos make me think.
Absolutely awesome to see one side all laid out, what a great idea for the levelling system. Hope you have great Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Happy holidays!
Thanks!
❤️
Keep up the Great work! Merry Christmas and look forward to your very interesting boat build in the New Year.....get your insulation done!

Yeah, that’s on the todo-list.
Very interesting, Keep it up dude. Thumb up for you. Hopefully I will be able to visit you see your progress
Now I get it cool way to build a boat!😊
That is coldy😅 impressive Pano!!!😮🎉❤

What a christmass present. It fits like a glove. Greetings from Poland
Seeing the outline of the vessel gives an idea of the size and shape. Awesome! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! 🎄🥂⛵️🇨🇦🇫🇮
Very cold project 🙂
Yep! Cool is so last season... 😆
you are very patient and precise- good work brother
Great video. It seems the pieces are coming together as designed. Great job.
Looking good, exciting times ahead.
Have you been looking at project binky ? Because that tea break had the exact same movement. 😂. The project is looking good
Have to check that! 🫖
Just a pointer, use center line of the laser because as there is more light or the further away you are from the laser the thinner the beam will be.
Merry Christmas and good to see your great progress! Well done!!

How are you turning the hull when it is ready?
Im watching every video of you. You are doing a great job :)
Greetings from Germany!
Hi! It will be moved out from the shed and turned over with couple of cranes! 🏗️
Sensational Pano. Just one question...do you have a straight shear line or will that be developed later?
Yes, sheer will be straight and that’s one of the reasons I’m able to do it this way. 😊
It's not much but Merry Christmas!!!
Great progress, any concern about voids in the junky plywood ?
Hi, not really. There's some but nothing major as far as I can see. I chose the better ones to be used for the actual pieces.
Instead of bolts you might try All Thread rod and make your own
Yep, but I hope it’s not necessary.
Great
Hallo Nice work. Have you design the boat your self or did you have help.
The hull and rig design is by Tanton Yacht Design. The starting point was Millennium Falcon (link in description) and it's modified to wood-epoxy with double keels.
Rest of it is my own. 🙃

There’s 220 of those bolts. So if the hull will weigh let’s say 2200kg, it will be just 10kg per bolt. So no problem there I’d say.
@@ArcticSeaCamel makes sense thank you 🙏
I´m not sure if I would like to share room with epoxy and other smelly stuff :)
They have caps 😉
You lost me at E-begging
