Thanks, it works on my Mate 30 pro! I used the oldest firmware in the list to downgrade. After installing GMS, I used the HiSuite Proxy and HiSuite to update the firmware to the second oldest firmware. Afterwards, the phone got OTA to update to the latest firmware, and GMS still works with the latest firmware.

By your instructions on my new p40 pro 5G version i had to download and downgrade to the same version as was installed. On my second p40 pro 5g i had to downgrade to 131 version an works like a charm in the last 6 months. I will see if i manage to make it to work. Thanks for your videos mate.
Works for Mate 30P. This is the best solution for downgrading if you can't find the right region firmware with dload method.(couldn't find C301 anywhere for mate 30P). If you messed up the region, you might mess up the Support/warranty app. The thing is you must find the right older firmware that matches your region, otherwise OTA won't work. But for me it doesn't matter as long as google works.

Result is phone don't start anymore, just launch EMUI eRecovery, I try "factory reset" "wipe cache", same result. I try to download other firmwares for OTG install, it say ""Incompatibility with current version. Please download the correct update package" Do you have any idea to recover my phone or if it's definitely bricked ? Thanks!

Hi there, I tried to downgrade my P40 Pro in order to get Google Play Services. I backed up my phone using HiSuite prior to this. Unfortunately the Google Play Services did not work as I had hoped. I am now trying to return my P40 Pro to the original version of software and restore all my files but I can't get it to work. How can I go back to the original firmware that was on the phone? The base software was @t and I rolled it back to @t. When I check for software updates it says I have the most current version but that's not correct. HiSuite is also not allowing me to restore all my files and applications. I need some serious guidance.... PLEASE HELPPPPPP!!!!!!!

Hi Marius, I noticed that for the 131 version it's only the OTA-MF (not FullOTA-MF) which has only 820 MB. Is this the version you installed?

Just bought p40 lite in April 2021 and it is proving to be suuuuuuper hard to get Google. I am really close to returning it

Why you downgrade firmware for different phone? Try recovery option in Hisuite.

Why you use firmware not approved for installation? You need someone with box tool to unbrick your phone.
After downgrading the version and having the google apps already can i update the version of my phone or it updates alone?

@@helloxiaonan no luck doing it myself. local repair store is charging me for 80~150 bucks for rectifying the firmware. I guess I will pay the price and learn the lesson
@@helloxiaonan You can still update using HiSuite Proxy method. But it is tedidous for me and also security concern.

If you update your firmware after GMS you need to downgrade again. But I'm not sure bank apps will work after all.

After I followed your instruction downgraded my huawei p40pro, now it restarts every 20 seconds. does it mean that the phone is dead has to be sent back to service centre?
Why you downgrade with not approved firmware? My instructions wasn't that. Use hisuite repair option or try to use dload method.

Hi! I have a problem upon pressing Update in the HiSuite app on the PC. When I press Update, it just spins and throws an error that there is a connection problem, which there isn't. Does anyone else have this problem and do you guys have any suggestions?
Fixed it. You need to leave HiSuite Proxy UP AND RUNNING and not close it!

Stuck in a reboot loop. It restarts just within 2 mins it will restart. Going to have to send it to a repair centre

Mine is a P40 also. Nothing has worked for me so far. I've tried various ways to try installing G app but still doesnt work. :(

Does means there is no firmware for your phone. Check in Google for dload firmware or try VMOS method.

Why you installed firmware for wrong device? Try repair option in hisuite.

Device is not play certified is not related with downgrade. If you are at googlefier steps try fix button 👍
