  • Holy Name Fall On Your Knees
Welcome to another Non-Christian Reaction, today we are listening to a song from a band called Holy Name with a song titled, "Fall On Your Knees". Enjoy it!
    Fall On Your Knees Lyrics:
    Lead me onward (onward)
    Lead me onward (onward)
    I will trust in You
    I will trust in You
    (2x)
    Lead us onward (onward)
    Lead us onward (onward)
    Through the valleys
    Through the deserts
    To quiet waters (waters)
    (2x)
    Fall down on your knees
    Before the lamb
    No other is worthy
All good comes from His mighty hand
    (2x)
    Fall down on your knees
    Before the lamb
    No other is worthy
All good comes from His mighty hand
    (2x)

Bio: Leonardo Torres was raised Catholic and left the church at age 20 after being threatened to be kicked out for asking questions about the bible. He identified as an Atheist for 10 years and spent that time actively arguing with street preachers, witnesses and anyone else who brought up religion. At age 30, he had a strong encounter with God that made him drop his Atheist title and he became a free follower of GOD which he calls, "The Great Spirit". Taking God seriously and following Him wherever He leads him, Leonardo started a RUclips Channel reaction to music as a "Non-Christian" musician reviewing Christian music. The music and the stories began to learn more about Christ and considers himself a Student of Christ. Whether that means "Christian" or not is yet to be determined but his goal is to remind followers of God to love one another as they were commanded and to teach people how to love themselves so that they may love others. The main theme of this channel is Spread Love.

After many a listens this song has grown on me. I was more intrigued once I found out Brian Head Welch was in this song as well. Intrigue grew to tolerance and tolerance grew into really liking this song. This is a song that you feel deep down in your spirit.

Hard rock metal worship music... this is my jam! Love this band, a great continuation of Sleeping Giant.

I play this song on my way to work as I pray for my family, friends, coworkers and the lost. I catch myself freestyle praying to the lyrics. It empowers me to just love everyone I come to contact.

Dear Lord, You are the Lamb of God, gentle and pure. We marvel at Your sacrifice, the embodiment of love and redemption. As we journey through life, may Your sacrificial nature inspire us to embrace humility, kindness, and compassion. Just as the lamb symbolizes innocence, let Your presence guide us towards a life that reflects the beauty of Your grace. In Your holy name, we pray. Amen.

For years I'd been calling Sleeping Giant a thinly veiled worship band. . and after shutting down the group, here comes Tommy Green and co as Holy Name essentially embracing the "worship" mantle-- albeit still with hardcore roots. Certainly not for everyone, but in the sea of almost cookie cutter modern worship, its a refreshing take if only that it's. . . different.
I am just happy it exists.

David I appreciate you with all you knowledge tracking people like Tommy and his original band SleepingGiant.
It was very mellow for me considering I listen to Christian Metal from 5 AM

You should hear Holy Name's song "Meet Me Somewhere Quiet," it's not as repetitive as "Fall Down On Your Knees".

A good analysis. This is a modern version of a drone. It is indeed worship/meditation music.

Great review, and i enjoyed following along with you. Personally I LOVE the repetitiveness of the song. I hate it when you just start feeling a song then it changes on you. For me, this song allows you to bathe (love your term) in it, to be overcome by it, and brought to the brink of tears.

Yes, nailed it. It's a praise song, thus the repetition and length. What great content, concise format, and you're watchable, brother. Subscribed. IHS.

I can 100% meditate to that kind of stuff. It is kind of repetitive, but that is mainly b/c of the length. If they had made it more of your standard 3-4 minute song without as much repeating, it wouldn't feel as repetitive. But then it would be to short to use meditatively.

I totally agree with your rating. It was too repetitive/vanilla for my liking. I needed a change of pace and didn't get it until the end. I feel like I should like this but I can't say I will replay this one.

As with a lot of praise music it is repetitive to get you into a reflective and contemplative mood. If it switched up a lot, it would kind of jar you out of it. It's similar to how Sunn O))) create their soundscape. It's something you feel as much as listen to.
