Brothers & sisters in Christ, if you read this and have a moment to pray in the Spirit and ask God with all your heart, please ask Him to deliver me from the lasting sin of substance abuse in my life. Its been years off & on with the drug use, and the alcoholism has never really stopped as well as tobacco.
Also, please ask the Lord to illuminate within me, in my Spirit and soul, a deep rooted faith, passion, joy, and love for His word and for an authentic unconditional relationship with Jesus, so much so that I truly make Him the treasure of my life and that He becomes my source of joy and peace. I need the strength of my family in Christ for this, thank you and I love you.
Humble yourself before the cross. Know that we are nothing but dust without him. Know that our flesh is inherently evil. Envision yourself under the feet of Christ, his blood dripping on the back of your neck, the very place where demons entered you. Cleansing your heart of sin. He leaves no good work unfinished.
He saved me so profoundly while thinking images like this, praying out loud, and submitting to his will in my life. If ever there was a post I felt deeply, it was this one. Don’t give up. Have a hungry heart for Christ and he will save you. You must deny yourself.

Love you, thank you for reaching out for help from our brothers and sisters. My husband struggles with drinking alcohol. And I have struggled in the past with sin. What helped for me was talking to God about it every time I thought about it. If I messed up, I would apologize, vent to God about it and keep trying to overcome it. Knowing that overcoming my addiction can show obedience to God. Which made me happy and push harder knowing how proud God would be and happy, that I didn't want to just do it for my own well being, but to please God. Ask God to take the lead and handle the addiction and struggles for you. Keep confiding in Him. You are in my prayers. I prayed a short prayer before writing this, but honestly am going to pray again because my hubby is here spending time with me, so I am distracted 😅. But your comment stuck out to me. Keep on pushing, you got this under control with our Holy Father leading the way 💪

You got this. The HolyName album in its entirety was a huge help to me about 6 months ago. I found that singing it out loud was very powerful and deep. Then again I was always a raging metal head and was super happy to discover HolyName and Sleeping Giant.

I enjoy this version. Stripped down. To me, letting the spirit work even easier than it did in the original. The original gives vibes of a modern Gregorian chant, where our worship music started, and this likes to that even more. It's a quiet moment laid out with reminders by voice. Lead us onward. Through the valley, dessert and onto quiet waters. All good comes from His mighty hand. It's just you and Him, with the fellas setting the mood. The silence following the songs end, is appropriate, because we worshipped, we loved, we repented, and now we listen.

But I would like to take a moment to recognize the quality of this piece. The full version with the band is a banger!! They play so well together and that drummer….killing it.

I love the rock version, but this is closer to biblical worship.
Anytime one lifts up the name of God it is worship whether there is music or not. In fact biblical worship is Romans 12:1-2. It is the act of offering all of us to Him who gave all of Himself for us.
