My iPad Air for drenched middle of the night ha no idea my iPad Air was standing on ‘‘tis side on the floor speaker 💯 exposed till the early morning hour. Honestly without sound I was ready just buy a brand new one . I tried power in it off after giving it about a 24hour period to naturally dry out and OMG it totally woks. I would retry the steps again, also has it come into contact with any water or moisture? If so put in dry rice over night to remove any moisture which can cause sound issues

Would it be a better cleaning method to hold the tech upside down so gravity drops the loosened toothpick/toothbrush gunk *out* of the iPad instead of falling back into it even deeper?

I have the opposite problem. My ipad pro had such loud sound that if I start a video or something with sound without first turning it right down, it automatically plays at maximum sound level which can be nerve wracking and embarrassing if in a public place. I have tried everything with the settings and it makes no difference.
If I turn it down for one video session, the next time I start a new session it is automatically at maximum again.
I have two other older ipads and they do not have this problem. I hope this makes sense. If anyone can suggest a fix then I would be grateful.
