As a finnish person it would be so confusing to go there. And somewhat cozy too. Seeing my language everywhere and characters that play huge part in our everyday culture.
I hope one day I can go because I like watching the Moomins. When I watch the show, I get hungry with all of the food Moomin Mama makes, so I definitely want to try the food at the park. 🤍
Ahhh, I guess it'll be popular all around EU. It's weird how it gets popular in Japan, but not elsewhere (I lived in Indonesia and Australia and have never heard of Moomin)... Hope you can visit this park one day!
Great video. I was planning to visit this park this summer, when i was coming to japan. But this pandemic little bit messed my plans. Oh and i am from Finland and moomins are kind of big thing in here. That is why i love japan and Japanese people, because they love moomins as much as we do.
You're not the only one who is planning on going to Japan. I was planning to go to Japan on my B-day. But thanks to COVID-19, my dream almost shattered😭! But fortunately my parents managed to make it up to me by making a Japanese-themed party😁.
Angelic Robles Hope you can! The park and the whole Metsa Village are just so nice to walk around... 💖 And thank you so much, glad it cheered you up! Your comment cheered me up, haha..
This is pure MOOMINmagic, i just love it soo much =O). Moomin has been a part of me since my early days & today i'm a dedicated collector/big moominfan. When the pandemic is over i plan to fly from Sweden to Japan asap =) . Thank you so much for sharing this with the world
I didn't get the mug! What I wanted though was that Moomin Valley tea set that they had in the restaurant.. hahaha. Hope you'll be able to visit Japan soon, when this whole thing is over.
10:49 No way, they have that game! I used to play that at my grandparents house, but it is different looking, we use a stick to push the ball in and then there are numbers (but this one is different than in video, but same idea) around where it stops. It is so fun. The game's name is fortuna. fi.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fortuna_(peli) We have (idk, where it is now) red one as in the wikipedia. We used to add all balls in the game, lol. 🤣 The balls are like about dark blueish marble looking. (I googled they seem to be made from glass, but are hard)
I recently rediscovered Moomin am watching the 90s version. This video has brought me soo much joy! If I were to go to Japan this will be one of the first place I would visit! I am just wondering though is there any halal restaurants there?

Such a lovely video!! I wish I could visit the park myself but I can only speak English and I probably don't have any way of getting there from America, especially with this pandemic. ;((
Tbh I can totally understand those kids who are scared 😂 I find them kinda scary too. Idk why but they remind me of the KKK 😳 The valley looks super cute tho and the postcard idea is so smart!
So adorable. Moomin park looks better than I thought. Thanks for the video! Would definitely love to visit someday.

I am from Germany and watched the series as a little kid in the tv:) When I was in London there was a cute little Moomin shop 🥰
Ahhh, I guess it'll be popular all around EU. It's weird how it gets popular in Japan, but not elsewhere (I lived in Indonesia and Australia and have never heard of Moomin)... Hope you can visit this park one day!
Was that shop in Covent garden
@@omunomu The show was actually based on a Finnish children book series, written in the 1950s. In Finland and here in Sweden they are very popular.
@@omunomu they have 3 cartoon version of the moomins, I believe it was translated in the 50-60s in Japanese

Maybe this is a place we can go to with social distancing. I think you can now book tickets online and stuff...

LOL! You're hilarious!! My friend also didn't like them (or huge character mascots) much, so I was the one going around excitedly meeting them LOL
