In the middle of reading Dune: Sisterhood right now, after having read all of Frank's books and Brian's prelude, ledgends, and Main Saga books. While I still disagree with Brian's interpretation of the Jihad (Namely the evil thinking machine overlords), I am enjoying the politics at play in Sisterhood. It seems that the principal Corino and Atredies characters in the show are different from the books, so I wonder how much they're going to pull from the book story. Nonetheless, I'm very excited to see more of Dune very soon!
I think multiple timelines are absolutely necessary due to the fact that there are major events that take place prior to the core events in Sisterhood.
You do know that even though you're reading from a script that you don't need to make literally every sentence have the same intonation and inflection, right? There's no way you speak like that IRL. May as well just use an AI narrator.
