This song (Opera 2) was originally written and sang by Vitas, a russian artist. But Dimash pushes the boundaries of the piece way over. He's playing around in the 6th Octave in this one. (C6, C6#, etc...). His range is evaluated to go from A2 to D8... Almost out of this orld. Have a nice day.

World class performance by a world class singer. He's been singing/performing for many years on many dramatic stages with big local stars, opera and pop. He has had a lot of experience in his country but only since SINGER in 2017 has he been exposed to China and other country's. He became a sensation over night! You can see why. I can not wait to see him perform on broadway like you say. He has a style of his own that will become a new world trend. Just give him a chance!

I have followed Dimash almost since the next day he took part in this contest. I had also heard Vitas at his prime and I, like everyone who has heard this phenomenon, was in awe. I am not a music expert but have heard some of the most extraordinary voices ever. My favorite singer is basso profondo Cesare Sieppi and I also enjoy listening to the Russian Octavists but Dimash comes from another dimension. Experts don't seem to agree at trying to classify him because there are almost no antecedents to his voice and style. He can't be described with one word, probably a combination of words but everyone agrees that he is completely unbelievable, superb and classy. I bet part of his amazing skills can be traced to what I have tagged as the best school of singers in the wold: The Mongolian Throat singers.
He's from Kazakistan....and speaks both Kazakh and Russian fluently because that's where Dimash is from. I know he's working very hard on English and other languages. I love this guy as much as you do!👍🏻😳😳😳😳👍🏻

The reason I like your reactions is because you react and the audio doesn’t overwhelm his singing. In other words you seem to be conscious that you would be too loud if you spoke while he was singing. Plus your face says it all.

If you haven't watched his Gakku concert, do it! He actually goes so high he "sings" a whistle! A must see!
It's best to just watch his performances on The Singer 2017 in order first [it will be an emotional rollercoaster ride of astonishment], and then explore his other performances.
The Singer 2017 are all cover songs, except for Episode 10 "Unforgettable Day" which was his own original song he wrote while still in his teens... but watch the show in order first -- and then you can explore all the other ranges of performances and videos he has done outside the show. WARNING: It's easy to get addicted to his vocal and musical talents :o)

I see you’ve got a lot of reacts to Dimash. You must notice by now his clothes. I would wear every outfit he has ever worn. He is bold, a trend setter, dapper, sporty when it calls for it.
