I guess I value old school ways and going to school for school & athletics being a thing you do in addition to school. Actually learning life lessons and being tied to "coach" good or bad. From a moral point it's giving kids an easy out instead of having pride and working harder to become better as brothers. Brotherhood is dead as we know it

Remove the emotions...and the hate. Aggie Land has a new AD. JS is not one his hires. JS did a heckuva in College Station. Texas and OU are now in the SEC. Personally, I think they are about to make huge inroads. Hypothetically; JS stays, has a couple of sub par years, TA owes him nothing and makes a move. The CDC JS relationship at a school like Texas with the resources and the Baseball tradition is probably once in a lifetime. TA leaving Nebraska...I mean...maybe the most loyal fans in America, tells us he's about business and money 💰....yeah JS could have been more genuine at the presser. I'm a UT fan lifer. I would not have gone after JS. The other side of the coin is we have to get our rivals coach to win. I don't like that. There are other more than capable candidates. Lastly, there are some FUs in play. First was when Aggies bolted to SEC. No lie, that was felt. Also did it during a year in football when Ags were better on paper and had that last game in College Station. Well, we know who got that FU. Trust me there are some of the cigar smokers saying we effed those guys. At the end of the day is about the CDC relationship and 💰. Sadly, loyalty is fading away. Hookem

Hey Aggies answer a question for me. Where was all this outrage when he left TCU right after the college world series to come coach at A&M? I doubt any of you hypocrites have the backbone to answer me though

    • @chopkong

Schloss's last CWS appearance with TCU was in 2017. He left 4 years later to A&M. So it wasn't, as you say, "right after the college world series". it was 4 years later. The issue is he said in the press conference last night that he took the job at A&M to be his last job; In the same presser, he said there is not other school like A&M, blah, blah, blah, "this is the best place with the best support for college baseball", blah, blah, blah; "this is why you come to Texas A&M"...blah, blah, blah..." then less than 24 hours later he leaves...to their rival. He convince the school to commit $80mm to upgrade and increase Blue Bell Park. They gave him everything he asked for in the past 3 years; coaches, salaries, budget, facilities, NIL, etc. That is why he's a hypocrite. If you can't see the difference, then you are being willfully ignorant.

A&M fan so take it with a grain of salt,
But the TCU job is a tier below A&M not because of anything other than money.
Like it was a pretty big monetary jump, vs this where A&M would have been comparable in pay to Texas

Also, he said he wasn’t interested in another job more than two weeks before he left TCU. He said he wasn’t leaving a&m and then turned 24 hours later.

@@chopkong you do realize that coaches do this all the time right? This same coach told the media he wasn't going anywhere and then immediately took the A&M job. But again where was the outrage? The only difference is other fan bases don't act like 5-year-olds throwing a tantrum when it happens

So I graduated from A&M with a bachelors and a masters. I’ve also done a tour of duty through The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Let me tell you, I love both places. So here is the deal. The AD at Texas, who is not an impressive guy, made a real tacky move not characteristic of UT by firing their coach when they did. Then the coach looked right at the camera and lied, the way people lie when they have had a lot of practice. If that were not enough, that punk chastised the reporter who asked the question. That man is a talented liar.
So this is where I need some help. Do people like Kiffen, Petrino, Freeze and Schloss have so much rare talent that universities have no other choice then to hire people like this and tolerate the lies, the extramarital affairs and even prostitutes, or does your average university just find it too difficult to dig deep and find a winner with moral character that they would just prefer to go fishing in the same old toxic pool and catch these same old scumbags?

I think they think that the wins the coach will bring will erase the questionable decision-making at the beginning.
