@@Soundout12 I hope it'd super7 tweak the shell, give them longer bandanas , and paint the knees and elbow pads brown , belts without the buckles and they would be good enough for now however not perfect
Cowabanga dude ! I don't collect TMNTs but it's great to catch up on what's out there. Power Rangers mash up looks particularly awesome and the movie ones are real tempting...
i have been collecting turtles and that due to seeing how amazing the super7 figures are, but, they inspired me to find the original Playmates stuff. In australia, a Super7 is $100. You can find them for a little less but, it’s going to be in and around $100 for 1 figure. So, find fun vintage figures that are colourful and collectible, i’ll just too vintage
This was fantastic. I love the intro too. I think the NECA and Super 7 stuff is really peak TMNT figure offerings. Let’s see who does Next Mutation figures first. Maybe Hasbro will find a way to sell In Space figures to us a third time with TMNT 2pk’s. I’d like to see Super 7 create Ultimate 2003 Turtles.
Thank you! I’d buy Next Mutation/Space two packs in a heartbeat 🤣. I love the look of the 2003 tmnt line sculpt wise and to get them in a non-preposed better proportioned way would be amazing
You make me green with envy with all those Ninja Turtles figures! I too pre-ordered that TMNT II: Secret of the Ooze 4-Pack from NECA, as well. It makes me wonder if NECA will do a line of figures for the third movie.
Been on a TMNT kick lately (mostly thanks to the one-two punch of NECA's Archie Turtles line AND The Cowabunga Collection being announced like three weeks apart) so this vid came at the perfect time! Great little rundown on the sheer variety of Turtles stuff that's come down the pipe in recent years and I really enjoyed the presentation and format. (Especially the ordering of the Turtles based on the second version of the 2003 theme. Very nice touch.) In terms of collecting, I got kinda burned out trying to get every unique character (and canon Turtle variant) in the 2012 basic line, so I mainly focus on my favorite characters for these more expensive collector-targeted ones. Simply put, you make a Slash and I'll buy it, but you'll have to present me with something especially unique or impressive to get me to justify picking up yet ANOTHER set of the four Turtles. So far, I've mostly stuck to some NECA stuff from the Cartoon, VG, and SOTO lines, but I've also got all the LC stuff and Super7 Slash on order. I am SERIOUSLY tempted by the Super7 Turtles, though. The actual vintage figures have never had my favorite designs in most cases, but the sick-looking alternate heads and painted accessories give these particular Turtles a really great modern/classic aesthetic that I super dig. Kinda like if you did a modern comic specifically based on the Playmates designs but with more detail and expression.
Oh yea. The alt heads on the S7 Turtles is really what sold me on them. Ps: Nice catch on the order of the video. I wasn’t sure how many people would pick up on it
Cool video! I'm doing my best to juggle all these TMNT lines right now, but they don't make it easy! Super7's Ultimates are definitely my favorite overall, since I connected so strongly with the toys when I was a kid as opposed to the cartoon. Also they'll be giving us probably the best Slash figure ever made later this year, and he's my favorite TMNT character after Raphael. I like the Mondo figures, too, and they actually showed off prototypes a few years back of a Mirage-style Casey, Shredder, Foot and Foot Elite, with soft goods clothing, but nothing ever came of it. I wonder if they just didn't renew the license? Probably for the better in the long run, since they were super expensive, and now I have more money to pour into NECA and Super7. :)
I’ll have to look up those Mondo prototypes. And yea I agree, its kinda okay they’re not doing current tmnt stuff as well cause its tricky juggling stuff right now
hoping shredder gets at least a single release instead of with krang or leonardo if he gets a reissue. not counting the pinball and turtles in time variants since they have different paint jobs (although turtles in time shredder has nice effect parts).
Great video! As much as I love the Neca cartoon TMNT line, Super 7 is currently the best IMO. I've got my fingers crossed that they get to Wingnut pretty soon.
Between size / scale and aesthetics, what would you say are the best Turtle figures that could represent the PR x TMNT versions of the characters (compared to their morphed versions).
I have the NECA 1/4 scale Michaelangelo, and he's fantastic! He's huge, heavy, has tons of accessories and looks like he stepped right off of the screen. I think I might pick up Super7 Ultimates Mikey too, but I'm a little wary of Super7. I got their Club Grayskull Ultimates MOTU figures, and to be fair, they're mostly great, but my favourite character Teela turned out to be a bit of a fail. The prototype looked great, but the final figure was pretty weak. I'm still waiting for a proper cartoon style April. NECA ballsed up theirs bigtime.
Super7 has definitely improved a lot since their MOTU days (the price increase probably helped) and they’re getting really good at improving upon the prototypes which is good. I’m amazed at how bad Neca fumbled with April. The first protos looked great then suddenly they made whatever the hell that figure is
Dude, you lost me. Ain't a single NECA two pack going for less than $50 (hard to find for less than $150 in fact) the playmates sets go for $30. Why are you lying?
I’ve never seen the Playmates two packs in stores so I have to go off online listings, where they’re listed for $50 each. NECA two packs are $55 in Target stores here or $65 for the larger ones. I don’t intend to be lying about anything, I can only work off the info I can find. Fluctuating prices isn’t making this any easier
Well so far the live action TMNT neca line has been the best. And while the Turles and tocar and rahzar are super fantastic looking. The rest of the figure line has been disappointing that I don't care about it. I mean come on neca the ab crunch for the people is either not there or so limited its like why bother. And on top of that shedder looks like crap and super shedder looks even more terrible.
Playmates Toys The Last Ronin figure was absolutely frickin' incredible...🤘🏼💯✔️
All these new turtles ....and yet not one for 2003.... and it's almost 2023
Someone’s gotta do a set for the 20th right? Right?
@@Soundout12 I hope it'd super7 tweak the shell, give them longer bandanas , and paint the knees and elbow pads brown , belts without the buckles and they would be good enough for now however not perfect
The best turtle media made outside of the comics!
I have the street fighters versus turtles
I've seen those in stores and I was tempted to get them for the Street Fighter side but I'm kinda waiting for Jada Toys figures instead

Cool that there's so many different Turtles lines. I'm surprised Neca or Super 7 hasn't made any figures from the 2003 series yet.
I feel like its just a matter of time before someone hits up 2003
@@Soundout12 I forgot to mention in the other comment that I liked that you used music from the three Turtles series in your video.

Oh good
You forgot the TMNTxWWE and the TMNTxGHOSTBUSTERS figures from playmates during the crossovers.
I totally forgot about those honestly
Really comprehensive but you forgot the DreamEx nd Threezero Turtles
I totally forgot about both of those!

That’s the Mega Construx one!

Aesthetically, the closest currently would be Super7 with their alternate heads. Mezco are more comicy which could be a closer match too
Could you do the justice league unlimited line by Mattel?
That would make a good video. I have a bunch of figures from that line

Sorry I meant bulkyz, the have big bulky figures, pretty cool actually, and sideshow has all kinds of versions of Tmnt figures but all are statues
