Fantastic video and thanks for sharing it. I must ask, do you carefully plan these projects or do you wake up in the morning and think, "...I've never done this and I wonder how it'll turn out..." To be honest, it's a rhetorical question, because however you come to putting the wood in the lathe is a testament to your skill as a craftsman. Brilliant work and thanks for sharing your creativity and expertise.
@Cat BirdBasically a pressure pot pulls the bubbles out of the resin as it sets. After you pour the resin, you set the project in a 40 to 60 psi pot and most of the air bubbles are forced out of the resin. It all depends on the clarity you desire and the viscosity of the resin your using. My guess is that he DID use a pot by the clarity of the rings but that's only a guess.
@Cat Bird and no, you don't HAVE to use a pot. But it helps to get rid of air pockets and voids in the piece especially if you're using a lot of resin.
Why do you hold the chuck when you're drilling the core? The taper ought not to slip, and it just seems like having your hand anywhere near that thing is a bad idea.
What is the use of those resin rings except for irritating the person who will be holding it. Instead of that...you could have kept the rings fixed . It looks like you have put a pair of bangles on the glass. Otherwise everything else is fine .
Just a suggestion, dont tell us what it is in the title. Just say something relevant to the wood or project then leave us guessing. It works wonders for other guys like andy philips and matt jordan.
Why would anyone remove a beautiful surface to make it look like humans had worked on it? Nothing you could ever replace it with would as pretty as moss. You silly guy. Next time, start with a piece of wood that isn't already prettier than ANYTHING you could ever make of it.
Cool idea. I love how the pieces turn out when you start with a solid log section.
Very nice wedding goblet. Simple and effective.
I am continually impressed with the versatility of the parting tool.
Didn't even finish the video and gave a thumb up 😁👍🏻
Masterpiece! Very beautifull.
Loved watching you make the goblet, I was surprised
Big like!👍👍👍👍👍✅💪Felicitări! Great video 👍
Your visions our amazing .. So creative and beautiful..
Awesome piece. I'd love to see you make one with the top cup part out of clear resin and the base of wood or a burl.
WILD IDEA!!! LOOKS AWESOME!!! I'd have a "brew" out of it for sure!!
Its just amazing what you can do with one piece of wood once you put your mind into it, not for getting the most important thing "SKILLS" 🙌🙌👍
Very ingenious and very nice turnout !
I’m not sure if it would have even been possible but was really hoping to see the bark and moss kept on the finished turning, looks awesome 😎
Love it with the color. Nice job.
Very nice 💞💞💞💞
Very Nice work Sir
Cool idea making the rings out of resin.

Классно получилось.
When you do the resin pouring, are you laying on the floor?
If Olympic speed turning were an event, I think you'd place respectfully.

How long drying epoxy liquid?
Bonjour de France, J'adore.
Tout simplement.
Wood workshop is that a negative rake tip on the carbide tool?
That’s a hell of a cereal bowl

Fantastic project, great result, thanks for sharing. Q? did you put the work in aa pressure pot. Cheers John

I like that. How long did that take to make?
Green wood, yes? Are you worried about cracking?
Цель этих колец? Почему именно эти цвета? Назначение этой тары? Короче вопросов больше, чем ответов.
Did you mess it up? Seems so!
Do you have a link from your cheek chuck?

That's... that's not what I imagined when it said rings, but *dayum*
👍👍👍🍻

Задумка отличная,но исполнение-отвратительное.автору нужно развивать вкус.
Нету эстетики,нету оригинальности.
В общем три бала из 10
Nice job with the rings. You're choice of wood could of been better. Looks like a 2x4. Kinda blah.......
What is the use of those resin rings except for irritating the person who will be holding it. Instead of that...you could have kept the rings fixed . It looks like you have put a pair of bangles on the glass. Otherwise everything else is fine .
The resin looks so unnatural when you put it together with the wood..
Just a suggestion, dont tell us what it is in the title. Just say something relevant to the wood or project then leave us guessing. It works wonders for other guys like andy philips and matt jordan.
Thanks for the advice!

Porqué la mayoría de las personas q hacen estos vídeos hacen copas, porqué no hacen otras cosas
Video too loud
