Woodturning - "Natural Edge In Resin" Bowl

- I finally bought a chuck and used it to make a natural edge bowl with resin on top. The edge of the bowl stands out more thanks to the resin. Hope you enjoy the video!

That bowl is absolutely beautiful.
I am not a natural edge bowl fan. I like bowls that are useful and pretty. That is what you have accomplished with this bowl Beautiful! Well done.

The resin color choice is @ It keeps the piece so natural looking. A true artist's eye. And you make the turning look easy when it's not.

I actually like this better than the other natural edge bowls, I prefer the symmetrical shape but it still looks natural - even more so because of the moss!

This was a nice video to watch, although I'm not sure that the resin was needed at all, because this would've made a nice live edge bowl without it. It is neat to see the moss in it, but clear resin would've been much better, if that's what you were trying to capture. I also wish that you would've polished it to a higher shine. It was still a nice video 👍
The great thing about art is everyone sees what is important to them, regardless of what the artist intends. Like cooking, 'this is how I do it, when you are the cook, you can adjust to your liking'
I think the bowl is perfect, as I am not a fan of high shine. Without the resin, the natural edge would deteriorate. Just my opinion.

Can this be used for anything other than art? Pretty piece but what keeps it from cracking wide open? I am assuming it is not safe for food/drink?

It seams i cannot find any large containers of resin here even in home depot or menards. And the ones in amazon are not cheap either :( - any body could tell me of a good source for a good brand thats reasonably priced?
