Never thought we'd see John back in the band but even more than that I never thought we'd see him at an awards show and genuinely happy to be there. Seems like he's maybe the happiest and most comfortable he's ever been. All the boys are looking great, happy and healthy. Long may it continue

If you actually knew John at all you'd know he isn't comfortable speaking in front of crowds like this and does what he does for the sake of music, not praise or recognition. Also, for you to tell the other members (who know John infinitely more than you ever will) what they can and can't say to John is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever read in my life.

RHCP winning this award, the Global Icon award, AND even performing live was like being taken back to the old school MTV . Even if it was a for small period, it was awesome seeing a glimpse of the awesome days of MUSIC television 😊

I'd agree with you about the guitar playing but his vocals really aren't that good. Some of his solo stuff's excruciating purely because his vocals aren't anywhere near in tune

@@Wildeheart79 I’d imagine it would be challenging to sing in key when you weigh 90lbs and your teeth and hair are falling out from being a hardcore junkie staring at death. He’s in perfect tune in all of RHCP records.

Congrats to RHCP for winning for Best Rock (Black Summer) and the Global Icon Award. Ever since I heard their song Under The Bridge on the radio in 2019 I believe, I became a huge fan. Also, it’s good to have John returning in the band, and I love the way he smiled😃 and seated a nice solid white button up shirt rather than a plaid flannel one

Omg too bad I wasn't at the awards show to see this band live. I am dying with happiness that they won
So pleased for them too, they look so healthy and happy, I saw them live a few months ago in London and it was one of the best gigs ever, they still have a few shows left of their world tour, the've completed the European leg and have 7 or 8 left in North America iirc, so if you're in America you still have a chance to see them live!
Oh and they also head to Australia on tour (if by chance you're from there) in the new year at some point for about a month!! I'm really hoping they tour a bit more in Europe for the other new album thats coming in October, really want to see them again.

@@nofarDcohen It's amazing just how many of the these iconic people in the bands we've grown up with struggle with the same issues we all struggle with and we see them as these people with wonderful lives that we would give anything to have but it's rarely the case they have these magical lives, unfortunately. I think it's inspirational that they share their stories so their fans can see that there is help and hope for all of us regardless of who you are or what you have, it's really all about the people in your life and I wish John ALL THE BEST

RHCP has been my fav band throughout the years and Black Summer just doesn’t do it for me.
It does for me and others even more so, it's a shame it doesn't for you and live it's actually incredible, better than the album version. Whatchu Thinkin', The Heavy Wing, It's Only Natural & White Braids are often cited as the better actual album tracks and I agree with that.

Nada demais. No começo Anthony desafiou o Flea em um jogo: ele falava um nome e o Flea falaria porque são agradecidos. Uma mulher que não conheço, depois Rick Rubin (produtor famoso), alguém importante da Warner (gravadora), agradeceu ao Chad (Flea falou um monte de palavrão pra ressaltar o quanto ele é foda e o som no vídeo ficou mudo), aí no final ele só comentou que se divertiram gravando Black Summer, que John levou uma mulher lá que não conheço nos ensaios e foi lindo. Basicamente isso (estranhamente eles não agradeceram ao Frusciante).

Anthony largely knows about John's uncomfortability being onstage and not playing. Even you can see Chad pointing to John after AK thanks Smith, like preparring for a huge thanks to Frusciante. But Anthony, with all the intention, preferred to mention and honored John telling he was the mastermind behind Black Summer instead of putting the whole spotlight on him. We can see they truly love and care for each other.
Thanking just Chad makes it seem like he isnt part of the band..odd
AK actually helped him out here, John has anxiety he didn’t want to say anything or put extra attention on himself.
