The standard pose with musket shouldered is called march attack.
    Excellent review thanks.

Best way to learn is watch Epic History Napoleonic's first. Find your 'Order of Battle/OOB" 0f your Favourite Army from Favourite Battle . From there the colours and facings come to you for your regiments once you start Googling . You need a lot of googling so get the PC near your workbench. And don't worry lots of painting tutorials on you tube. Get your command pieces from Perry btw. March Attack pose( Musket on Shoulder) is better as it reduces Bayonet breakages when gaming and moving to and from Game Boards

I second your opinion on this. My reference materials are constantly growing and Epic Hirstory's youtube channel is a constant watch for me.

As wargame pieces these are top notch! These are perfect for moving entire formations, which is their function. I'm more into diorama figures and need a greater variety of poses! Nonetheless I really enjoyed the review! Thank You. Just for the record I'm Andy, Annmarie's husband and I'm responsible for the content of this post not her.

The models in the set are definitely of the mass tanks game piece variety, but Warlord does have some great character models.

Great review, my starter set will be arriving tomorrow. How essential do you feel the command stand to be? Should I make that a top priority to add to my current units before picking up new ones?

The command stands are really just for character and show. Given the core rules they are not essential. Right now i have it setup that only 1 battalion in each brigade has a command stand. It looks good but has no bearing on the rules.

Great review, I just don't understand why the metal commands dont come in this box? Not really saving that much if anything if you just have to buy the metal commands separate. My ocd will not allow me to play without them of course. Maybe I have answered my own question 😄

I guess the idea is the box set is a starting point to move forward. For me the issue is that warlord’s blister packs in order to add the command don’t seem to be available from any retailers in Canada.
