Hi Justin yes very similar to how I paint faces except I applied the wash after .so now I will try it the other way round and get better results . Thank you for sharing this with the community .take care my friend Terry.
Thanks for this Justin i have been slapping the contrast on ! no wonder mine all have dark complexion ,great tutorial mate i like the pre shading idea as well.
Great tutorial, Justin. Never even thought to do it this way. I'm guilty of just slapping on that Guilliman Flesh. Appreciate you doing this. Keep it up!
A nice guide to painting face Justin. Afraid I'm an old painter with my base, highlight, wash, highlights. Interesting use of the contrast paint though to create extra depth.
Excellent tutorial, a list of your paints used in the description would be great although your summary covered it very well. Thanks for sharing. Regards Gary
Thank you, just ordered Guilliman Flesh, usually do a black base so white on faces will be new for me, already have the washes so that's a bonus. Always up for trying a new method and am interested to see the results. Great videos, l have watched many of them but the first time l have commented, keep them coming.
Nice tutorial Justin, I spray white, GW elf flesh and then just a wash, sort of in between the two ways you did, not as light as you do, but not the slap it on method either, :)
I havent tried those speedpaints yet since I have a lot of normal vallejo and citadel paints, but the result looks very quick and promising. You can easily do a top highlight with Kislev flesh on the nose and chin too to get some extra pop if needed. Gonna get some guilliman flesh and try that out myself :)
So, you've mixed Nuln oil and Agrax Earthshade because you think the results are better with a blend and the Nuln Oil is too dark, and the Agrax too brown. If you use those straight out of the tin with your technique what do the results look like? I'm thinking for things like Afghans.
Excellent tutorial Justin with a new technique for the tool belt of painting. Keep up the hard work
Thank you my friend
That's a great time saver for getting them done.
Cheers lain it's what I was going for as like we say faces and bases, hope you're well
Everyone works their brushes a different way it was good to see how you did it Justin. Regards Gav.
Many thanks Gav

Cheers Cal I may go back to the old way though as I feel using contrast paints I'm not getting better as a painter/artist

Very nice tutorial! Thank you.
Thank you
Thank you so much for this video. I was trying to paint the faces with my paint brush but it was too big for it so thanks for the tutorial❤️
Glad it helps
Great tutorial, well done. I agree, prime white or bright colour is more easy to paint. The paint is more bright then over black primer. 👍👍
Thank you Nik
Wonderful work 👍
Glad it helps
Good run through..

Nice tutorial.

Awesome tutorial , Justin. I assume this will work on any scale ? A great help.👍
Any scale charlie
Nice technique mate , if you are contrast orientated. Although I have been tempted By 4 or 5 colours I have held off of contrast paints.
I think out of the contrast range I use 5/6 the rest is Vallejo
@@basicminiaturepainting
Would not surprise me if the colours I would get are the ones you already have lol.
A good tutorial. Very nice explanation and presentation of the work processes.
Helpful in every case and scale. Best wishes Joachim
Thank you Joachim I'm glad you enjoyed it

If you're thinking of afgans just use agrax but either would work as.no ones skin tone is the same plus they're your miniatures
