Just realized: when she is texting on her phone she is sad and frustrated, with probably her partners texts. However, when she gets a letter from said partner she is happy and blushing. My theory is that the partner is making her fall in love with those letters, because she knows they put effort into it, but is frustrated and "falling out of love" at maybe a not very detailed text with little effort.
