Holy crap. I clicked into this song because of the beautiful thumbnail but words could not have prepared me for that full-body experience I just went through. The atmosphere, the music, the LYRICS? I'm trying to put this into words but I find that I'm at a loss. You've captured such a hard to describe feeling of something like, the loss of an opportunity to get to know someone? Or that heavy regret of wondering what could have been after being held back by never being able to find the right words at the right time. And God, that just resonates with me on such a deep level. The beautiful lyrics with that piano (the piano!!!) just sucker punched me into feelings I was not planning to feel on a Tuesday night. I don't know a thing about tuning or piano, but the music left me utterly devastated, the way you can get a synth to sing with emotion better than a human just blows me away. The atmosphere the song creates of melancholy is almost comforting. I interpret that feeling as someone slipping away or going somewhere you cannot follow, and despite everything you want to say to that person, you manage to say nothing at all. In the end all that you're left with is a hollow and meaningless parting that you regret and feel guilty for after everything they've done for you. Even if that wasn't your intention, I find the message of the song incredibly meaningful. Sorry for just vomiting all of this out here, I think this song shifted something within my brain. I just want to tell you that your music is brilliant and I'm in love with it. Thank you for creating this song!
I came simply looking for some epic Eleanor forte content, and I stayed to hear some of the most relatable lyrics I’ve ever heard. You’ve captured the emotions perfectly and I’m officially a fan.
Totally underrated for its message and how beautiful the music is. A lot of people don’t utilize Eleanor very well to their music and this song just fits so good❤ I can’t wait to hear another one from this channel

I really like this song and the art! But I think the use of the newspaper article at 3:19 was a bad choice. It is from NS Germany during World War 2 and shows a publication of the Wehrmacht. As far as I understand from the piece in the video, its about the bombing of a british harbour. Fortunately, there is no racism or antisemitism readable in the article. Still that is out of place.
