Mom use to take me to school in a 56 Chevy and i would hide because i was embarrassed of the car...mom and me would laugh our ass off because i would lay on the floor.....that was 50 years ago...its wild how things change i would be proud now
Similar experience here, & from about the same time frame. Our family car got creamed, & my maternal gparents sold us a black/white 2-tone '56 that they'd parked after buying a brand-new Caprice a year or 2:before. I don't recall any of us HIDING, but we were the butt of a lot of jokes from people who probably wish they had a crack at buying that thing NOW. 🤣🤣🤣
Congratulations Danny and Olivia on the Big Block. Getting the oil leak handled. Great Job. Thanks for showing the 1956 White Lightning. For sale. Thank you for sharing! ❤️💯👍👊
Great color choice on the Gnarly tee...Now it gives your customers two color options...Also, that's very generous giving a vintage Hot Rod Mag while they last...A Huge Tiki High-Five!!!
Talk to Nick at Nick’s Garage about your rear main seal. He is a legendary Mopar engine builder and has a channel here on RUclips. In fact he did a video recently about this very same problem. Good luck.
Sounds pretty sweet Digging the engine stand I don’t know about the cooling fan and the water pump but everything else is pretty sweet lol. That Pontiac 400 looks very familiar I built three of those in my day for my 68 GTO.
You might have a burr or a rough spot where the crank seals.Hopefully not a bent crank or a bearing problem. We used to plasta gauge all the main bearings .
So glad you guys were able to solve that rear seal leak on the BB Mopar. That shit can be frustrating AF! At least you didn't have to pull it in and out of the car to do that. I hope you guys get top money for Greased Lightening!
#62 Heads had 2.11 intakes, 1.77 exhausts with 72 cc chambers and are decent, should be around 10:1 with +.030" over flat top pistons and should easily get you 350+ HP with a good 4 barrel 750 cfm carb and Ram Air exhaust manifolds or Headers.
Sorry to hear about the rear main leak issues, but glad you guys got it sorted out. I like your engine stand, rad/fan setup, if it works who cares 😂. For the 400ci Pontiac engine, I have no idea, lol... I'll guess that it matches the ci # 400hp. Grease Lightning is an awesome rig, I bet it sells fast. Hank is my favorite of your '56 Chevy collection but I love them all! Have a great night/week. 🍻
I believe if you insure it with Hagarty Insurance they have a classic car rental plan where you can rent it out. BTW I missed the asking price. Great channel. Just placed my order.
About 27 min. in reminded me that SOMEONE, whether a "big company" or someone local, offered something they promoted for a while as "Rent-a-Rod." Didn't last long back then, & probably for the same reasons y'all mentioned while selling "Grease."
Nick at nicks garage in Canada is the mopar king and someone brought him a engine someone else built and I think someone one tried to fix the rear main seal like 7 times with no secess and I think it even took nick 2 or 3 times but he got it nick hates silicone he said gaskets are suppose to work without it he does everything the way it was done at the factory does to all the right bolts and clamps I think there was a problem with the crank that caused the problem if I'm not mistaken
I think problem with other seals was a clearancing problem two piece seals have a crush depth but also some seals are meant for stock applications and some for high performance applications
Can't wait to see you get it in your man is supposed to sound good in a frame❤🔥😁💪🏻🤟🏻 it would look good next to my 57 in my 55😁🔥 Danny all L.S need a good thumping cam liv I got to have a long sleeve
Greaselighting is a really solid car with beautiful interior but hank is the one I want. I love both of them I donk know what yall are asking for them but I'd love to have either one of them very solid cars.
Also unless you are installing the engine into a vehicle you need to shorten the boom to put the weight of the engine on all the wheels of the hoist . When she was trying to move the engine , the weight was only on the front wheels and the back of the hoist tried to come up .
All you had to do to be able to run the belt for the power steering and water pump was to make a hose that would thread into the pressure side of the pump and put a nipple in the return port of the pump and hose clamp the hose to the nipple. Since you aren't going to have a steering box that would build pressure when you turned you just needed a closed loop system to get by.
Hey guys! Sorry to say but the magazine promo is over! We ran out of magazines! Thank you so much for your support. We will do this again in the future.
Just found your channal That Grease Lightning looks like a 55 We had a 55 Red and white 2 door no post From what I have seen the 55's have a straight side chrome trim the 56 had a curved and in 57 They just added fins
@@Steve-ct4jn Just checked saw some 150's with straight trim some had curved The car we had as a kid was a 55 BeL Aire sport coupe 2 door red and white no post Have several photos of ours standing next to it as a kid have a 16 x 20 of it showing the rear bumper with a early 50's yellow and black MG :) Which dad had Mom eventually sold the Chevy with bad muffler and package tray Due to the sun for 50.00 :(
My brother build a 71 Nov a with a 427 big block and exhaust cutouts. Ain't not NOTHING more fun to listen to than a cranky big block with inadequate mufflers!
Don’t forget you need a crank case ventilation system so the seals can breathe in keep the oil in the engine soon as those pistons start moving at high RPM You will build pressure in a crank case it’s not a stock car so now hi Performance
Are either of you from the Islands? I was watching this video and see you have Hawaiian motif in your shop. I lived on Oahu in Palolo Valley is why I ask. I’m a fan of you guys. I have a 69 Nova as well so I’m into classic cars. You guys kick ass. You’re great together! Keep up the good work. Aloha!!! 🤙🏽 btw, my guess is that Pontiac engine will put out 405 hp @ 6000 rpm
I “lived” on Oahu. We moved to California in 1999. We now live in Turlock to be exact. The Islands are still very much alive in my heart. We visit Hawaii at least once a year.
🇬🇧 Would love that 56 but a lot of us over here couldn’t afford one let alone the cost of running it. 24 mpg seems very good for a V8. I pay £320 per year Road Tax just to have my 2.5 Transporter on the road.
Pontiac will make more HP with the factory iron 69 intake that that Performer that has smaller than stock ports.. Prob. 380-390 hp with Performer and 420 HP with a good QJet and the iron 69 intake
Which RAM Air series Butler roller ya running ? They have a full range very mild and up. HP guess tough when don't know if it's the big RA IV one or a mild 068 HO version. Which lift with 1.5's ?
Do you have a part number for that rear main seal? I am on number 5 in my 440.I wish the engine builder would have stand tested before I installed engine in the car. I do not want to pull the motor and am willing to try once more before I give up and pull the motor. Subscribed and thank you!
The seal I ended up using was a 2947 felpro. I clocked it in 8 and 2 position. I did NOT use RTV anywhere on the backside or on the ends. The only RTV I used was on the bottom of the cap. Good luck.
Nice collection cars you have in would like to buy the white one with the red interior no rust no problems to drive. Can you put it in a container and send it to me to the Netherlands 🇳🇱 ore Germany 🇩🇪. Please 🙏 👍🤩
THE CAR HAS SOLD !!!!
Screwdriver on hose clamps are so 20th Century. Nut drivers don’t slip and allow to give them hell.

That white '56 is my favorite of all your Tri-Fives.

Talk to Nick at Nick’s Garage about your rear main seal. He is a legendary Mopar engine builder and has a channel here on RUclips. In fact he did a video recently about this very same problem. Good luck.
i was going to say the same thing
I think Nick used an old school rope seal in the end on that one that wouldn't stop leaking
285 hp is my guess. You two work well together both of you are patient and kind to each other.
The big block sounds soooo good. Love the new shirt color 🍻🤙
Sounds pretty sweet
Digging the engine stand
I don’t know about the cooling fan and the water pump but everything else is pretty sweet lol. That Pontiac 400 looks very familiar I built three of those in my day for my 68 GTO.
What a wonderful show. Keep going. It is perfect
A quarter inch drive socket and rachet saves a lot of lost finger skin when working hose clamps !
When ready too install the motor for the final time put some rtv gasket sealer on the radiator hoses for a tight leak proof seal .
You might have a burr or a rough spot where the crank seals.Hopefully not a bent crank or a bearing problem. We used to plasta gauge all the main bearings .
Nice job on the mopar engine.....I like your cooling efforts👍🤙
My favorite car of all time is the 56 Chevy!!!! I want one of those

Something had to give to correct leak.. amazing. I have a temp. Radiator cap.. really awesome to add

Congrats on the lack of oil leaks. The banana mufflers are awesome. I’m overjoyed to see that Hank still loves his Carburetor !! 👍🏻😎

Love ur smile Olivia
I would of thought with Olivia's electric aura they'd start right up, haha
Please stock 4XXXXL T-Shirts, and all.
Really enjoy your videos and projects.
Cool 1956 Chevy.
Take care.
Greaselighting is a really solid car with beautiful interior but hank is the one I want. I love both of them I donk know what yall are asking for them but I'd love to have either one of them very solid cars.
Great video guys if u only new how many times I used a tire for the cherry picker
My dad has been looking for a 55...his first car was a 56 4sp
Love the new shirt.❤

Hi Liv and Danny If I buy a hat and stickers will you toss in one of the tri-fives?😂
Nice shirt guys!❤😂

Subscribed right after your '56 Chevy buy video.
Personally prefer the '55 OR the '57, but met plenty who love the '56 best! 😎
I wish I could buy the white one but of course some high roller will step in before I can buy it.
You guys got your own tri 5 car show
Right on !

I like the way the old dash looks compared to the electronic one.
Need a high volume shop fan to blow on the radiator
Was that a '66 or '7 Goat i saw as this was ending? Cool! 😎😂
Hi how much for the 56
I think that your Charger would look fantastic in a traditional Mopar high impact color like Plum Crazy 😘
🇬🇧 Would love that 56 but a lot of us over here couldn’t afford one let alone the cost of running it.
24 mpg seems very good for a V8. I pay £320 per year Road Tax just to have my 2.5 Transporter on the road.
I'll be interested in the green barracuda!!! Lol
Did you sell this cool 56 yet
Got a link to add for car
Awesome vids you got
that motor sounds good the lope what kind of cam is that and what size??
That’s one bad ass sounding cam in that Pontiac big block. Awesome looking shirt design, may have to look into one. Nice 56’ Chevy For Sale, how much?
It doesn't have the rope seal it goes around the crank.
My 400 is around 425 with that cam 380 Hp.
Pontiac will make more HP with the factory iron 69 intake that that Performer that has smaller than stock ports.. Prob. 380-390 hp with Performer and 420 HP with a good QJet and the iron 69 intake
You guys should use a nut driver on you radiator clamps. So much easier.
Nicks garage had a problem with a rear main seal on a 383. I think he determined a machine shop bored the crank in the block incorrectly.
I like the cart for the engine run stand. Got a link to it?
Yes Sir!!!
What a figure!! Perfect ❤
Which RAM Air series Butler roller ya running ? They have a full range very mild and up. HP guess tough when don't know if it's the big RA IV one or a mild 068 HO version. Which lift with 1.5's ?
An L8T 6.6 in Olivia's pontiac would be cool 😎
damn thats gnar you had to redo the seal 3 x times.
Good luck.
I would go for the 56 gasser.
love the white tee with the blue glitter. need a 2xl. when are you getting more in ?
Restocking in 2.5 weeks! We didn't anticipate running out. Thanks for your support!
Just restocked the blue glitter in 2XL!
I have to say that big block engine does sound sweet
My guess is that 400 will make 350hp @ 375 ft/lbs of torque around 4500 rpm
Hey guys can you tell me where you purchased the engine run stand and maybe the part number for the engine run stand?
love that tempest
You need a couple 33 or 34 !!
How mutch for greens lightning🎉
So what is the asking price for White Litening
Nice collection cars you have in would like to buy the white one with the red interior no rust no problems to drive. Can you put it in a container and send it to me to the Netherlands 🇳🇱 ore Germany 🇩🇪. Please 🙏 👍🤩
How much you guys want for grease lighting ❤❤
First thought the new one is a -55 150 or 210 but 🙈🙉🙊😉
How much 💵 is Greased Lightning ⚡️??? 56 Chevy!!!?? Interested in it!!!
I love the Pontiac color 😊
Call Hugh's engines and get a new rear main seal retainer kit
Thanks!
Wow! Thank you!
Why wouldn't you install engines on the run stand with the exhaust facing away from you?
Great! What's the part number on that Fel Pro seal? I can't find it. Thanks!
2947 felpro 🤙
