PGT is such a good one. I remember thinking right before I got it ("I don't have a good solid legible yellowish gold") and lo' and behold 😝... also sent me down a rabbit hole sampling others, haha.
Yellow inks may not be the most practical but I think DeAtramentis "Document Yellow" should get a place on the list. It's a bright lemon yellow but best of all it's water resistant. I'm told it can be mixed with other inks but I've never tried that. 🍋
Seems like from the get-go I have not been a fan of yellows (the journaler in me likes to read her writing) but gold inks I do love. Having said that tho, my fave of those you shared is the Buttered Popcorn (dang it! 😝). And think I got a sample of FWP Plaited Gold Tress in a subscription. You’ve reminded me to find it and ink it up. Loving your top 5 list!
Thanks Grace! I'm right there with you - love to be able to read my writing, who knew 😝?! This one was tough because I don't have many yellow/golds that I feel super passionate about, but this exercise immediately had me wanting to ink up some yellow/gold.
Awesome video - yellow is the missing color from my collection. fortune's gold did make the big bottle cut - I picked it up at my local store in Denver, but it definitely leans more green than i wanted too
Thank you!! Especially compared to the others. Fortune’s Gold is more green (and I didn’t even think that before; it’s wild!) oooo, Denver! Guess that means I’ll be seeing you at the one show in October?? ☺️
Fortune's gold has been released in the full bottles along with the rest. I found it on Diamine's website, Vanness Pen Shop, Wonder Pens, Etc. I'm looking forward to purchasing a bottle of Early Dusk when I can : )
Right on! Thank you! I had only saw a few so I was thinking maybe they just picked and chose which ones to released based on popularity (but.. on second thought, it was probably the retailers' choice on which ones to carry). Early Dusk is so pretty! I have Walnut and Velvet Emerald on my wishlist ☺️
I am not a fan of yellow or orange inks, but I have been purchasing some lately because I felt my collection was not complete without some! I am a sucker for purchasing inks just because of their names, so I suggest Noodler's Southwest Sunset (I still call it Apache Sunset because that was it's original name) and Birmingham Phoenix (because my office is in Phoenix, AZ!) I am always trying to purchase pens and pen-related products that are made in the USA, when I can! I do have a bottle of the Diamine Sepia, but I have never inked a pen up with it yet. I'll have to try it out!
Oh lovely! I love a good name for an ink, especially when there’s a personal connection ✨ 🤌🏽 - I mentioned Southwest Sunset in the orange inks video (it’s suchhhh a pretty one!)🧡
Currently Plaited Gold Tress is my go to gold shimmer ink but I think Pelikan Golden Beryl would be my favourite if I had it in my collection.

Oooo, I believe it! DeAtramentis has some great inks; I’ll have to give that one a try ✨

@@julia-here Nice! I do hesitate inking up a pen with any yellow/gold in. That needs to change. I have a handful (maybe) that would work. Mmmmh...

Robert Oster Heart of Gold, you won't find anything "golder" but be advise you need a very wet nib to avoid clogging issues
Oo! Thanks for the rec (and the tip!) ☺️
