- New at all of the Six Flags parks this upcoming year is a brand new attraction! The highlights include Great Adventure getting an S&S 4D Coaster, Discovery Kingdom RMCing Roar to become The Joker, Great America and Mexico wreceiving a Justice League Dark Ride, and Great Escape, New England, St. Louis, and Fiesta Texas receiving Larson Super Loops.

The joker at Great Adventure was announced as Total Mayhem. They since changed the name.
We seriously need to start listening to Taylor when it comes to predictions. He predicted like half of these.
He predicted 9 of these, of course some parks also got extra rides to what he predicted. But he did very well.

People may disagree with me, but I think these were all pretty good additions for the six flags parks. To all of you complaining your park got a super loop or kids rides: you can't have everything. You can't get a world class coaster very year. Obviously some people don't realise that. I can understand the complaints for smaller six flags parks, but people complaint about SIX FLAGS GREAT ADVENTURE? Piss off. You have one of the greatest coaster line ups in the world, so stop whining that you got a cloned ride.

No, I'm realistic. I'm not expecting a wing rider here, a giga coaster here, another RMC here.......I'm being realistic. I know that most parks will get a super loop. I know some parks will get the JLBFM. And I know parks like St Louis or Over Georgia are not going to get anything big. I know Magic Mountain aren't going to get anything big because they have had two massive coasters in the past two years. So, no, I don't have low expectations. I have realistic expectations.

Lol I totally agree, Great Adventure has a great lineup but it's also a dump, Cedar Point has basically the same coasters and some better ones too so yeah

I think the best addition goes to Six flags over Texas. DAM 2 Thrill flat rides and a family ride. WOW good for you SFOT.
I think La Ronde and SFFT also have good additions this year, they both have three new rides (counting La Vampire going backwards).

They're getting north america's first virtual reality ride. They're re fitting the ninja
Well, if you want to get technical, they're not alone in that achievement. Six Flags over Georgia is fitting the Daredevil Dive coaster with the Samsung VR for more or less the same experience, if I'm correct.
I am not even going to go and get near the Ninja especially with VR goggles not because I am scared because I will snap my neck on that ride. The thing is rougher than sandpaper and with VR goggles I won't be able to prepare myself for the neck breaking parts. Plus other parks are getting this treatment too so I will stick with my statement above.
Also the goggle things fall off on the ninja. They wanted to test it out on the ninja so if it didn't work right, then the other parks wouldn't look bad. That's my theory. Hopefully we will be seeing changes to the boss next year.

You lack a launch coaster and even though Bizzarro and cyclone are amazing mind eraser and flash back should go... but no worries... everything will be solved when they get their super loop
This entire thing in a nutshell: super loop, The Joker, super loop, battle for metropolis, super loop, Total Mayhem, super loop, riddler's revenge, super loop, super loop, ALL THE SUPER LOOPS IN THE WORLD!
Could they at least give the Larson Loopers unique names? Like, 1) Don't call them roller coasters and 2) DON'T CALL THEM ALL FIREBALL. At least they got names last year...

I've just realised -'SFOG now has two rides named Joker. They're rethemin get the kiddie coaster for the Super Friends and calling it the Joker, but they also have Joker - Chaos Coaster.

I don't understand why people complained about superman being rethemed into bizarro. I think it made it unique from all the other superman megacoasters.
I guess this means that it'll be the #1 coaster again, since it'll have the audio. (Unless fury becomes #1 instead)

Damn I love having Great Adventure as a home park, this coming year is GREAT! Also, the Larson loops aren't bad at all, you get some sick hangtime on it, and It's actually pretty forceful. To everyone complaining about getting a Larson loop, consider yourself lucky...at least you're not The Great Escape!
but great escape already has a fantastic lineup, I'm from st. Louis and all we get is and fireball with out pitiful lineup

MC RIDE In my opinion I dislike the Larson Loopers. The hangtime makes me feel very uncomfortable and dangerous. The restraints don’t fit me so I feel like I’m gonna fall out and yeah.

The wide variety of flats looks nice and good to see the Larson loops not being marketed has coasters. Didn't think Roar would get a big name change like it did but I guess it gets a bit old to put twisted or steel in front of every hybrid RMC. I kind of wish St. Louis would have got a multi flat combo with the Larson. Should look nice though up on the hill where rush st. is.

Isn't the fireball and a few others super old? I remember riding the fireball when I was 10 (now 28) back in Canada at a small county fair type thing that's there for a few weeks then moves on.

Six flags it the "best in the world" but we haven't seen a real steel coaster in years. And by the way RMC hybrids may be considered steel coasters but they are revamps of an existing coaster. What I mean by a real steel coaster I mean a b and m or intamin. Good thing we have cedar fair !

In the past 5 years Six Flags have installed Full Throttle, Green Lantern First Flght, Green Lantern, X Flight, Superman Ultimate Flight, Dare Devil Dive, Batman The Ride, Boomerang, and Joker. Point invalid.
+Tommy Carr OK sure. but only x flight and full throttle are both full high capacity rides that should actually be installed. others are coasters that really should be built for smaller parks. most of these you have listed are also under $ 10 million. disappointed.

You realize your disappointment when you are excite about Le Vampire backwards at La Ronde. The only coaster going to a park near me is Total Mayhem and I was expecting so much more. I wanted a wing coaster or a large and original 4D coaster, not a Batman The Ride clone. I like its colors and its location but its overall underwhelming. Plus, its going to have long lines because of low capacity. I'm excited for Superman at SFNE returning because I want to see how much better it is but I don't care about a Larson Looper. A Larson Looper is going to The Great Escape too! SFA just gets a water park expansion and La Ronde is getting family rides.

Swift lucasben I've ridden GateKeeper and I really loved it. It's first drop is super fun and its actually kinda intense at the bottom. The rest is just super fun. They aren't intense but they are fun. I heard Thunderbird has a pretty intense launch.

I hope six flags doesn't use total mayhem (now called the joker) as an excuse to not build another coaster at GAd for years again. We've gotten dark knight (a wild mouse), GL (a shitty standup) and now this, a glorified flat ride. The last real coaster we got was kingda ka in the mid 2000s which was over 10 years ago. STOP IGNORING US AND PUT SOMETHING EXCITING IN.
Kinda sad, not a big fan of the that style of 4d coaster for great adventure. The Joker will be good but now there is no wooden coaster in that park. At least the new flat rides look good.
