The c6 zo6 is a mid 10 second car stock. That’s half a second faster. It’s faster on a roll. I own one. If that mustang isn’t stock it’s a different story. Both stock or not. A standard car with a guy that doesn’t know will never best a guy with a 10 speed. These mustangs are crazy

Not hating but even the new 500hp 5.0 coming will still be no match for the c6z. They're extremely light and have 450hp / 430 tq at the wheels (505 / 470 crank). You're lucky that owner can't shift worth a damn.
With a manual you have to be able to drive which 99% of manual drivers can't for shit these days. With an auto anyone can drive it to its potential so an auto vs anyone who don't got the driver mod in a stick is a mismatch. The 10 speed makes up for like 100+ hp in particular when the manual is driven by someone with 0 skills. People really underestimate how much the driver effects performances of a manual trans vehicle.
And who said the mustang is stock? You compare them as if it's stock vs stock when pretty sure it said no such thing so it could very well be modified.

Not every race needs to be deep into the triple digits. Just some fun runs with fellow domestic V8 enthusiasts will get blood pumping. I own a C6 z06 and have raced my share of mustangs. I’ve raced a GT350r, a few GT350’s, and a variety of GT’s (10//6 speed autos and 6M). Out of all those, most of the time the 10 speed auto GT’s gave the best run from a dig (obviously). I lost to a 10 speed auto on radials from a dig. He had I/E, tune, weight reduction(3400~lbs). It was a stoplight drag. Maybe 1/8 mile at most, but he still got me. Thing hooked instantly. I was catching him, but not as quickly as I was expecting. That thing moved out with only a few mods. From a roll, I gapped him pretty badly though

i have a heads cam c6z and Mustang always want to race me. they are faster than I thought they would be but it’s not always worth hitting triple digits just to prove I’m faster so sometimes i just play for a second. I also sometimes feel like they’re going to Crash Into me lol
