Easy Contemporary Marching Band - Grade 2-3
This is the signature tune by legendary rock group Deep Purple. With one of the most recognizable rock riffs ever written this hard-hitting, yet very playable arrangement really rocks!

I heard this song on the radio and instantly thought of when I played it many many many (20 years ago lol). it is funny that you can still remember what part you had and how to play the part after all these years!

I played this song since I was in 7th grade and still enjoy listening it. Like if you played this as a baritone (me) or trombone (relatively close to a baritone).

When I used to attend public school there were so many flutes that you could actually hear them! My section, clarinet, was small and I was doing triple F just so I could be heard.
Wow there are like 5 flutes and 20 trumpets in my band class. Rip them.
We only have 4 flutes and 1 piccolo
We have 8 clarinets , 13 trombones and 10 flutes ( I am personally a clarinet so maybe even 9 clarinets)

I don't know what to say but I played this in 7th-12th grade with the high school band a lot of times and I played the sousaphone in it all the time. Btw, a sousaphone is a marching tuba, AND IT'S FRICKEN HEAVY! Anyway, it was fun to play this with my band pals.
