I love listening to Sara talk about life, alien or not. She’s a rockstar with this stuff.

who is to say that we aren't already existing with multiple conscious entities on this planet alone? I Believe that we possess intelligence, but I also believe that many, if not all species possess their own forms of intelligence, sometimes even greater than our own. Just different.
If we define being smart as living in harmony with nature as the rule. Then there are many creatures that live in much greater symbiosis with our planet than us.
No need for clothes, money, the internet or other Human comforts.
Still thriving and possibly out-living us.
Humans think we are the smartest things to grace the Earth...But look at what we've done to it.

This was interesting to listen to. I had to replay several moments to understand the ideas and I still only partially understood the ideas. I guess that's why I'm a labourer.

In reference to their discussion, why does "life" have to have a chemical or organic basis. Im sure there are "lifeforms" that exists of composites / substance that humans can not sense or detect.
Consider realms, frequencies or dimensions. If we are holographic, couldn't other holograms exist in another dimension?
I thought Alien meant different types or the same types of life but NOT from planet Earth. Why does an Alien have to be technologically different than live on earth to be considered an Alien?
Aliens are from other countries. What are you babbling about? Illegal aliens are subject to deportation, now to the afterlife in the United States as a sort of exotic war criminal pilgrimage to violate my human rights because my own country denied me humanitarian assistance for years and now the current state of plague against me wants to breech the frozen assets to make oppressing and dehumanizing me a rewarding way of life as sadistic war criminals is why I am typing this in a homeless shelter when I am supposed to be physically picked up and tossed into a paramilitary motorcade in case that rogue secret service crosses the line and violate international law by taking hostile or lethal action against myself or those obligated to defend my being inhumanely oppressed in open public and plain availability within homeless shelters and everywhere that I may be in Miami, New York, Philadelphia and especially here in Washington DC. as unbelievable as that is for me for years now.
Scientists would go much further much faster in this topic if they stopped assuming they were intelligent and just listened to people who are screaming at the top of their lungs that "aliens" are already here and have been for quite some time. Is it wise for a deer to ignore another deer that's trying to warn it about a human hunter nearby?

We know only one place where life actually happened, so purely logically there is a better chance to find some other branches of life here, than from vast distances of space that seems empty, at least in our sight range. We know that life can and is living on earth and it evolves to most different things. We believe that just one evidence of even primitive life could indicate countless possibilities of other life forms, well, we have a big boiling pot of life right here, for some decent amount of time now.
Furthermore, other civilization wouldn't have to be drastically different genetically, it could be same species but with other culture. One could imagine that some peaceful community of inventors didn't want to fight with growing in numbers and strength primitive nation of warriors and moved to hard to reach and live areas. As we know, technical progress can go exponentially, 100 years delay in technology could be a gap impossible to close. Imagine what thousand years of technology could do. And it's not too far fetched, it requires some small nation to do more math instead of religion and war, for few hundred years.
The guy was too dominant in this conversation, i dont like him for this reason
