    For the out of pocket cost of these rooms, you could book and stay in a real bungalow on a beach in Maui. They're beautiful but I would rather just go to the real thing for the money

    It's that ferry whistle that will drive you nuts. I stayed there before the bungalows were constructed. I stayed facing the water - and was kept up until the late hours with that blowing of the ferry whistle every 15 minutes.... lots of $$$ - and little sleep. It is gorgeous - but I need my sleep...... But thanks for the video - loved it.

    Just stumbled across this trip down memory lane. Several years ago we arrived a bit early at the Polynesian front desk, to check in for our scheduled stay in a standard studio that we were getting for just a relatively few points per night. The Cast Member behind the counter said, "I think we might have a free upgrade for you", and then got on the phone with someone. While she was on the phone, I told her that I didn't want the upgrade if it meant we weren't going to be on the top floor (I hate it when people are stomping around over my head). She hung up the phone and said "I got you the upgrade -- you've got the bungalow". And I said, "Will we still be on the top floor?" (I was clueless -- I thought she was talking about a regular room or suite named "The Bungalow"). And she seemed upset that I didn't fully appreciate what she was giving me, so she showed me a picture of it, and told me that it was $3000 a night, and that we were getting it for 2 nights -- for our ~$600 a night (cash equivalent) reservation. I don't think I ever believed it until we got the check-out statement & I saw $6000 plus tax on that paper. Once in a lifetime "lottery" win. And yes, it was fabulous...and quiet -- except during the nightly fireworks that we watched from the balcony/deck, with official fireworks music piped in via the deck speakers. Great memories...

      OMGOSH - tha't exactly what happened to me. I saved my money and stayed there one year - and that ferry whistle kept me up 1/2 the night. I think it ran until 1 am....it was a nightmare. Never again ....

    • @ctrabada
      @ctrabada 3 года назад +1

      Same here. Stayed there once and the boat noise was annoying. If you think you'll be able to lie down in the lounge chairs outside and take a nap... Forget it. We prefer the Cascade cabins. But watching the fireworks was amazing. And we loved the plunge pool. The hot tub in the Cascade cabins is too hot when you want to cool off on a hot day after the parks.

      I stayed a night may2021. You can hear the boats
      It’s not bad tho
      The view is amazing- at the cost of the other parts of the resort. All the 1st floor 2nd and prob 3rd floor hotel rooms (water view) view are blocked as is most of the beach view. They kind of ruined that one
      The room was very nice. But too expensive

    Great job Cory love the Bungalow tour. Not sure sure which camera lens on the iPhone you used from 1:40 minutes in until you switched lenses in the hallways at 4:51 it was super grainy and bad motion blur I'm guessing that was the wide lens? Looked so much better once you switched, just giving you a heads up, anyway keep up the good work loving these room tour vids!!

    I didn’t do the exact math, but at a quick glance you would need over 19,000 points to stay for a year. 🤯😎🌴. I wouldn’t stay there for a day, too many points for me. I’m about more stay annually and don’t need the space.

Polynesia Humu Pohaku stonework in foundation, floor and paving with Polynesia ornament and decoration need to be add to the resort, Its nice if Samoa and Tonga Fale, Fiji Bure and Hawaii Hale" too.

    Excellent tour as usual. One small request is to spend just a bit more time showing the common areas (living room, dining, kitchen) and show available seating, food prep/coffee areas, and sleeping areas in the common spaces. Thanks for all of the video tours. It would also be nice to see the walk to the main lobby/restaurants/pool from the suites you tour at each resort. Or at least mention if it’s a 5 minute walk or a real hike to and from the lobby. Thanks again. Looking forward to future videos of Grand Villas at each DVC resort.

    Fiasco, the Bungalows are nice, but way too many points. You would need over 52,000 points to stay there all year, DVC allows a two people to own only 8,000 points. But since they cost so many points, they are always open and Disney rents them for cash.

      You need about 5 times the points per night vs the studios. So if you have enough for 1 week bungalow you have 5 weeks studio and that's a nice flex.
