    Love finding old rolling pins.. wish i could find them for .50¢!! Love finding the little brooms too, but i rarely find them. I have one on a peg rail and a couple on my kitchen walls, sweet decor pieces! I absolutely love the little bathroom lamp, is primitive & precious😊 Love the blocks too! So good!! Enjoyed watching!

      Thank you Tammy! I couldn't believe I found the rolling pin for .50. They normally take the older things and put them in the store just down the street and mark them up higher. In fact I bought an old rolling pin with one red handle for 2.00 in the other store a while back. Didn't matter if it had one handle because it was perfect that way where I was putting it. You just never know what you are going to find!

    From what I've learned, when you use clay molds, if you paint them or clear coat them when you take them out it stops the clay from cracking. Just an FYI

    Love them all. One thing I was told is before using the patina paint is to stir it well. From the bottom up. Hope that helps.

    The sheep and pig turned out so good Sandy...the pig has a tail. Glad you did the modge podge rust with cinnamon because I needed advice on how to do that process. I have used the Awesome from Dollar Tree and it really is awesome!

    After the cinnamon, spray a clear coat or weather defense on your knobs. All your projects look awesome!!

      Oh yes! It does deepen the rust color. Thanks for the reminder.

    Also from Brushed by Brandy website, when she uses resin, she said you can make extras if you over mix whats needed, you can use a hot blow dryer or a heat gun to just soften them just enough to apply on curved or concaved areas of projects or furniture.

    • @sandyscountrycrafts
      @sandyscountrycrafts  5 месяцев назад

      I did make some extra pieces. Now to remember I can soften them with the heat gun when I want to use them.

    Before I forget about the DIY rusty crusty stuff. Did you see putting it on through
    Ginger Chick? She’s the one that uses an old stencil brush n dabs it on. I think your sprayer did more misting than coming out heavier from the regular bottle. I’ve never had a problem with it. Doesn’t really matter, you fixed it. 😁 That lamp turned out so cute. Loved your idea in how you did it. You know the saying, “Great minds think alike” I was saying put moss on top with the pit berries n sure enough you did😊. I thought the idea with the pig n sheep was so stinken cute. Sorry, hope you don’t mind if I copy that. Adding the handle n knob gave it so much character. I used to watch Kelly’s channel but I stopped cuz it always seemed you end up watching her go thrift shopping. It got old to me but she certainly had some wonderful ideas.
    ♥️♥️♥️😊👍👍🌟

      I watch Ginger Chic regularly. I need to use a stencil brush. I have the blue and green patina spray and both spray bottles do not work. I read instructions and it said to wash your sprayer out and do not leave in the patina. So that's what I have always done. I haven't been having very good luck with the spray. Although Ginger Chic always uses a weather defense spray and it brings the color out I think.
      I enjoyed Kelly better when she did more flips and crafts but do understand she has a store front and has to keep it full of inventory.
      I would love if you make the pig and sheep. That's why I do videos. I love to inspire others to create. I know I need a lot of inspiration.
