Can you tell me the dimensions on the spring that goes from the foot peddle to the mower deck that allows the mower deck to engage and disengage? I have a similar mower and lost the spring.
@@ranflee1 it’s off a rzt cub cadet 50,don’t know much about it,it’s my brother in laws mower,it’s been down for a while , turns on and shuts off seconds after releasing the choke
i bought one like this for 25 and fixed it up with my brother but it's in better condition I was debating on keeping it or selling it. it cuts great and always starts no problem.
I have what looks like he identical mower. I have the same engine code numbers except for the date code. The date code on mine is 87, and judging from the bolts holding the motor on, its not the original motor. I bought it as a basket case and I haven't ever worked on one. I got the motor to run but there's no throttle, choke, or governor parts or linkage. They've all been taken off. Consequently, the motor wants to idle WAY too fast . i really don't understand how the throttle/choke/governor work and the parts are no longer available near as I can tell.. If you could do a video on all that, orif you know of an existing video on how to make that work I would be indebted to you and would be willing to pay for this info.
I will try to include that in my next pt of the restore. I have fired mine recently and it’s going to need carb work. In the meantime, try going to Jim Jackson’s fixit shop. He’s the snapper king. Don’t be fulled by the fact he also does woodworking. Here’s an email link. I understand If you email him he will work with you on any issues you may have on your snapper. He did an entire video series on snapper mowers.youtube.com/@jimjackson9381
@@ranflee1 thank you so much. I will definately watch those videos and may even reach out to him. I wouldnt be fooled, I'm a woodworker as well. This mower is taking a lot of space in my shop! 🙂
We had one back in the days. Brings back memories. I can see dad on it now 😢
Should be a good little project.. go all the way..
I am seriously thinking about it. The problem is I need it, and also have many irons in the fire. But we will see.
Thanks for the video! I just got a free 88 model.
The ones marked extra tough are really worth full restoration if you got the time and money
Thank you. I have made a decision. Part 2 video coming soon . Also will explain why part two is taking so long to post

I will check next time I’m in the shop . I don’t know off hand but you may be able to find the the correct one on partstree.com
You think you can post a video on how to adjust a carburetor for a 360 ride on mower
What engine. If I have one I will.
