- The Westfalia Sven Hedin campervan has been on the go for many years, so one can call it a campervan with tradition. The Westfalia Sven Hedin here will cost around EUR90k and is six metres long. It comes with underfloor heating.
I live in a motorhome full time and travel around Europe in it. I spend most of my time in Poland, Germany and Italy. Vanlife is my life.
In my RUclips channel, I present reviews of recreational vehicles. Here you will find campervans and motorhomes from the cheapest camper vans to the most expensive luxury liners, from various companies including Hobby, Hymer, Carthago, Westfalia, Wingamm, La Strada, Frankia, Wavecamper, Maurer, Dreamer, Itineo, Rapido, Clever Vans, Pössl, Bürstner, Niesmann Bischoff, Action Mobil, Reisemobil Manufaktur, Robeta, Trigano, Challenger, EuraMobil, Karmann Mobil, Laika, Forster, Mobilvetta Design, Affinity, Globe Traveller, Benimar, Roller Team, Adria, Bocklet, Woelcke,Tourne, Megamobil, VW, Mercedes, CS, Renault, Ford, Fiat, Carado, Sunlight, Baileys, Chausson, Balcamp, Knaus, Weinsberg, Murvi, Bliss, Mitsubishi, Woelcke, Reisemobile Bürow, Holzmobil, Giotti Line, Florium, Fleurette, Ahorn, Westfalia, Space Camper, Orange Work, Concorde, Womondo, Protec, Auto Sleeper, Dethleffs, Ilusion, Gehocab, Malibu, Pilote, Wild Ax, Vantage, Bresler, Tom's Fahrzeugtechnik, Morelo, Swift, Carado and others.
I do this by regularly attending trade events such as CMT Stuttgart, Abenteuer und Allrad, Caravan Salon Dusseldorf, Warsaw Caravan and Camping Show and sometimes others.
I cover equipment, including 12v electrical equipment and talk a lot about lithium batteries.
I also show some of the places I have visited in Europe in my own motorhome, as well as the places you can stay at! I try to give as much coverage as I can to official campsites and free places which I use for overnighting. Therefore you can find here the aire or stellplatz that you are possibly looking for.

These short reviews are excellent. Lovely van that looks like it's been nicely put together 👍
Thanks Gary!
the ccompass decorations look good
😍❤️💕woww.. Beautifull 💕🥰👌🏼👌🏼
Alan or the camper? 🤣🤣
The camper is quite nice too!
Thank you! Cheers!
Would have been good to see the expansion side panel in action, bet it makes the bed ideal for tall owners. But innovation comes at a hefty price.
Alan, I appreciate your honesty when you review these vans. This one is clearly on the wish list. Cost? Well if you want that quality, that’s the price.
I like it as well!
Two plugs! I’m learning lol
Beautiful looking. Please market in India also.
Sven Hedin was an explorer apparently
Nice quality looking campervan. However the washroom appears quite small and I'm not keen on the transverse bed. If the van was a bit longer it would be possible to have a lateral bed?
They do them but not in Sven Hedin! A Columbus or Amundsen for example!
I don't like the way the front edge of that "popout" extends from the van wall. That will catch all kinds of bugs and road grime, I'll bet.
One should really pop it back in whilst driving and it does give a bit of extra space in the van!
How tall are you? For reference when you're alluding to space above you i.e in the shower in this video. Very nice van, is Westfalia still doing the van with the slide out at the back?
I am 175cm. You mean the James Cook - that is still being produced.
Great video, do you think this is £25k better than the VW GC when you take into account the discounts?
I saw your comment last night David when you wrote it and decided to think about it before answering. If the question were, which vehicle would I prefer - the six metre Grand California or the Sven Hedin, I am stuck between the two. I prefer the layout and look of the Sven Hedin, I like the underfloor heating, the pop out would not be necessary for me. I think, but reserving the right to change my mind, that I prefer the Grand Californa plus the cash, if it were a straight deal one or the other then I don't really know. That is a good subject for a video I think. Anyway, you have not got a straight answer for a straight question!
Just wondering seen its a very expensive vehicle, why is the door under the bed not a properly sealed door to the garage. That's not good if you might have petrol cans, paints e.c.t. Don't want to smell them fumes.
Excellent point! Even the smell of rubber from bicycle tires .
I did not think of that one Mo. Most of us carry at least five litres of spare fuel with us just in case we find ourselves on the motorway without any fuel. I shall add that one to future videos.
Is this based on an L2H2, L3H2, or L3H3 van?
L2H2
Sven Hedin was a Swedish explorer known for his journeys through Central Asia. He was on friendly terms with Hitler and blamed President Roosevelt for starting World War Two. Exactly the explorer my wife should have named our own van after. And she’s a Jew.
Umm err umm err impossiblle to listen too. Think before you speak would help
Couple van,not family van, waste of money.
Who said it was a family van?
Another rubbish review, you just don’t get so many things about motorhomes/campervans 🙄
Obviously I don't have the depth of your great experience and knowledge. Sarcasm intended.
You keep watching them though. Do you get a kick out of being rude?
