    I think you'll find that the majority of pubs in Southwold are owned by Adnams, so there's plenty of choice. Great vid!

    That was really useful, we love Southwold but have always just driven in for the day. However, we have been thinking about staying on that site the next time we visit. After watching I think we will stay there next time unless we’re at Trev and Sue (Poshcats) rally. We haven’t been to Aldburgh yet but thanks for a great tip on parking. We also love Woodbridge and it’s very easy to park in town behind the theatre/lesuire centre. There’s great fish and chips in Southwold near the ferry landing. Thanks for sharing another interesting video. Just remembered Helen and Martin (H&M Treks) bumped into Richard Curtis when they visited Walberswick!

    Been going to Southwold campsite every year for c 35 years. Facilities have improved. It’s not cheap but we have just booked our pitches for August 2025 so popular it is. Visit last August bank holiday ended 3 days early when our part of the campsite and the restaurant where you had breakfast, flooded to knee deep in a flash flood! A gem because you don’t need to move the van when you are there and there are walks and entertainment for various tastes.

    Nice to walk up the river to the Harbour Inn and the bridge (pedestrian) to Walberswick - back though the village (excellent pubs) and across the ferry... Sorry - wrote this before I watched the end of the film!

    Know that site well - we have stayed there lots of times. Its not cheap, and last time we went it was freezing! Still love it though, and one of our favourite dog walks - so lucky to live close by. Thanks for the video.

    Good summary of Southwell but you missed the seafood stalls, pub and most importantly Mrs T’s Fish & Chip shop along the harbourside on the River Blythe. All very close to the campsite.

      Mrs T’s sadly burned down just over a year ago, the fire damaged Sole Bay fish co. next door too but it’s open for fish and chips etc., but outdoor seating only. Foundations were laid for what we hope will be a new Mrs T’s but that was months ago and no sign of building yet.

    Thank you, brilliant video, I remember the Warbleswick ferry, and the light house at Southwold, stayed locally many years ago in a holiday cottage. Looking forward to booking a pitch at Southwold camping, might try to avoid a hedge bound pitch, as Bateman is likely to behave much like Roxy, and be mad for bunnies 😄We love Adnam's and bought a huge pale blue Adnam's ash tray which we use as a dog water bowl in the garden in the summer. We spent the May Whitsun Bank holiday in Norfolk and then moved up to Kendal, Cumbria on the Thursday, returning last Monday, had a fabulous 9 day roadtrip, longest yet. Glad you're enjoying the Sven. 😍🚐🍾🐶xxx

    Thank you and a great informative video. Your vehicle loos fab and well laid out. We live in Melbourne Australia and have a 2023 Renault Master 6.234m Motorhome which we have had for a little over 12 months. Loving touring over here. we have had some time wild/free camping and the van performed very well. Water and toilet is good fro 3/4 days before a refill and empty is required. Enjoy Guys.

    Great size van for 2, much better than the pop tops. I've just gone bigger to an A Class Hymer, Fixed adult sized Bunks for the kids and huge double for us. Still have the Cali Exclusive but the space in the Hymer is another level..the Calis are great to a point and as you say, the ease of doing 'Stuff' is much easier in a larger van. You need to do pub reviews!, touring the UK

    If you drive to the end of ALDEBURGH town centre towards the yacht club through the gravel car park you can park along the side and stay for a couple of nights one side is fields and the other the beach, great park up, you will see other vans parked there, no issues.

    Turquoise and yellow is obviously “on trend”, judging by the bag of bananas and Sarah! I have a 180w solar panel on my camper van and since having it, I haven’t used a hook up, it’s enough to keep my fridge working constantly, even during the winter.

  • @stevezodiac491
    @stevezodiac491 4 месяца назад +3

    I must say, while giving the introduction, whilst driving in the van, the van sounded so crashy, going over undulations. Is this the price you pay for a bigger van ? I have gone a different route, a Transporter lwb sized camper van pulling a 7.5 metre fixed bed caravan. Much more space on arrival plus a smaller van for visiting attractions / parking more easilly and still having facilities out and about. The best of both worlds.

    • @CampervanTime
      @CampervanTime  4 месяца назад

      It's not easy to film when going along and for the sound to work well. It's really not that crashy but I did forget to adjust one of the window blinds down a bit, which does rattle if all the way up so that might be what you were hearing.

    Wow! what a brilliant video thank you ever so much for posting. Really interesting and loved the glimpses inside the van cannot wait for a more detailed guide in future videos. Just a quick question where did you get the fitted carpets for your van and do they still work with the underfloor heating?

    • @CampervanTime
      @CampervanTime  4 месяца назад

      We got our fitted carpets from Campervan Carpets, although they were a special one off just for us as they have now stopped making carpets for the time being. They seem to work really well with the underfloor heating to be honest. It does dull it off a bit but you can still feel lovely warmth under foot!
