Not gonna lie, I've actually been doing this all the time when I learned that a spark chain is stronger than a regular chain. When it happens for me, my phone will lag and both skills or magic that was clicked will be used. Finally instead or explaining my brother can nist watch this to understand chaining a little. Thank Claic.

Thanks for the video, Claic! I think the most important thing for people to wrap their heads around is that button presses in the game only register "on release". Because the game has to wait and see if we slide our fingers left or right (items/abilities), it can't register a press until the finger comes off the screen; moreover, if you press and hold in one spot, then start pressing in another, it will register it as a slide (hence why you get so many action changes when you're first learning to spark chain). If people focus on pulling their fingers off the screen, it almost gets easier to learn.
So for the summary : 1. Find best position for your unit to chain (I usually go slot 3 and 6, or 1 and 4 if I have dupe chain family). 2. Practice (lots of them). 3. ???? 4. Profit (full chain) 😁 PS : Old device helps a lot because of the lag.
Great video, hope this helps people trying to clear it. That's how I've been doing it since I learned what chaining was and yeah it takes practice but it works (except for QH haha, I can't hit that properly even now). I use either my left thumb and right index or just the thumbs for slots 6 and 4 respectively, or 6 and 3.
Then I got second try so awesome Claic !! I just tried left thumb first and bam all missions done may just try for that second cg dark fina now that I know it’s actually possible
Hi Claic! BaHCoRMeE here! Yeah, I've been doing this ever since I started playing this game... Especially when Malboro came out using 6* Trance Terras... That boss really trained me to be a great thumbs chainer...! Hahaha! Maybe that's because I've kept losing to the boss for countless times! Keep up the good work my dude! Great content always! :)
To expand on this a bit, your first finger needs to be off the screen when your second finger taps the second unit. If your second finger touches the screen before that, it’ll either not register one or both taps or it’ll read it as a swipe. The swipe issue in particular is why I prefer to not have the chaining units touching each other vertically (say slots 5 and 6 or 1 and 2). Horizontal is less of a problem, though I do like to keep them in 1 and 5 or 6. One other detail of note, if the game is laggy (in my case in Arena), it’s much easier to spark chain with this method. Without any lag, I tend to spark once every 10-20 chains (with occasional days where I can get it down to 1 in 3-8), but in laggier encounters, I was able to spark more than half the time.
Wow claic I really did not think this was even possible all other youtube big guns use one of your before mentioned methods . You tha man for making this . I still can’t do it do it 😆😆 but you have given me hope 👊🏼
You can also try using your pointer and middle finger...still the same timing as shown in his video...just move the device so that both your fingers line up naturally and then tap pointer into the middle finger...I find it easier controlling the timing on one hand vs 2 but both work fine for me
Finally managed to set up switch control and cwa works 100% of the time now. Once you fix cwa you can pretty much chain everything in the game, spark chaining seems random but im just happy i can use mages now
I was getting frustrated with this the other day. Read the full reddit thread Sinzar made, and this video is basically what I had to do. Tell myself to delay. Most people said "as fast as you can" but I'm a gamer with a very quick finger my phone and this game registers it at same time and only 1 mage would cast. Took me 20 tries for 1 success. I doubt I'm good or got it down, but happy I finally got that 10+1 ticket.
I find chaining easier on slower devices since they tend to register the second tap before processing the first one, making the two units go off in perfect unison much more often than on faster devices. I've also noticed that on faster devices, I tend to have to lift off from the first unit before the second tap hits or else the game thinks I swiped in some direction and opens the item page or something.
i put the phone down on the table and then touch from the top. Also it can feel your fear and anticipation of a chain- keep that mindset of not caring if youll get the chain- and BOOM chain goes off haha :D
I play on a phone. my advice is to have two of the chainer side by side, and tab between the two slots quickly while minimizing the amount of horizontal shift. You also want to lift your thumb as little as possible. If they are movement chainer, it's easier for me since i am not pressure to tab both slot as fast as possible, so the delay between the first tap and the second tap allow me to align the slower movement chainer to the faster movement chainer.
MAn this is the first time i feel smart. I play BE most of the time at work so no macros and stuff for me. Thats where i learned to just use my fingers and be quick wich worked for me :D
You make it look so easy. I wish I had watched this sooner. I went ahead and caved and used an emulator for that challenge :( I wish I would have seen this first.
Awesome video, Claic! This is so topical since I was trying to help out my friend how to perfect chain, and you did the job! You and I also use the same tactics for chaining as well! Side Note: WE ROCKING THE SAME GAMING MOUSE XD Keep up the awesome work, Claic!
I play on Samsung s9+ I use magnification it seems more reliable although the magnification seems buggy. I'm kinda lazy at fixing bugs so if it gets stuck in zoom mode just hit the power button to shut the screen off and reopen the phone should reset the view. Settings> accessibility> visibility enhancements> magnification> tap button to magnify (on). Side note: I dont have magnifier window on. Alternatively you could hit the search in settings and type in "magnification" should bring you right to final setup page after selection. most chains I dont need the magnification. To get the 65 chain this worked for me first try with this method. Good luck!
Update: so I use game launcher and the bug I was running into involved a fullscreen mode setting. Once turned off I was able to unmagnify without shutting the screen off. Only reason I use the game launcher is to record gameplay.
I learned by just taping fast.... and hell, i just got Gentiana and a 7* WL Dark Fina so... they'll chain so well with my Christine if elements don't matter. christine can quad cast her hand in hand anyway if i need to make more ice chainers too
Hahaha I have absolutely seen a LOT of people complaining about this.. And, admittedly, CWA chaining does suck a bit. (As does AR with 3+ units, and that does some suuuper weird things when it messes up!) I'm also super stoked that they put the fixed party trials in there! They were super fun, especially since they're only 5 nrg! :D I didn't really need this one, but thanks for the PSA! :)
damn claic! thank you man, i was really stuck at 63 chain until i watched this vid, what i was missing was the normal attack of charlotte... o.o! thanks dude...
I learned that technique during the QH meta. It allowed me to spark-chain duel wield QH which is harder than the TDH version. CWA is not even a challenge.
I also find that performing this technique immediately following execution of another unit's or units' (the more the better, presumably due to the increase in processing required) action(s) during said unit's initial frames as I've observed a greater frequency for the first of the chainer inputs to be ever so slightly delayed, resulting in simultaneous resolution of both chainers' actions despite the asynchronous entry. May just be my device, tho. Hope it helps someone out.
Also found that I'm more successful Spark Chaining if I do the chained while other animations are playing, kinda like a lag exploit. I've only played on my phone and QH is the only family I cant do reliably.
Nice video. For me, when I was training how to chain, I would turn the sound effects on to hear it. I'd know I got it right from the double chime sound. I turned on my finger press sensor and I would cast someone's move before I chain. So it'll cause a delay loading someone else's move. So frames would lag slightly for my chain pressing hehehe
Great video. That's something that has always annoyed me using an iphone, as that I can't plug it into a computer like you can with an android. Thanks for the tips.
I have used the click program for this one, usually I don't use it because well... annoying ads (playing on a Xiaomi Mi6). In any case the chain stopped at 63, had to use charlotte and myra normal attack. EDIT: Thanks Claic for the tip. Tho not sure gonna try with my phone, is not that big screen, one mistake and need restart game for reset...
@@ClaicYuzolt1 yea i meant it as a positive thing cause when i started one piece treasure cruise i couldnt find a proper video showing us how to use our specials in the correct order , so when i saw this guide pop up i was pretty excited even though i dont play ffbe anymore!
Hi, I wanted to ask if different elements but still from the same chaining family, (for example lightning and earth but both are from same chaining family, CWA), can they still be chained?
I...have always done chains with my hand lol. 0 assist programs or so; however, sometimes is difficult because some frames are inconsistent so you gotta reset.
Also, if your phone can multitask, have background apps running such as a RUclips video or a couple of browsers to take up more system resources. Create some lag delay/lower frame rate that way can help too!
I usually put my chainer at the bottom with the friend chainer, I hit them both with each index. Not perfect but I at least rarely fail a chain. May be not perfect all the time but still.
What up claic. I do like off topic and psa content videos so great job. I been thinking about our community making fan challenges like other games have. I know there wouldn't be rewards but what do you guys think?
practice makes perfect eventually i hope. this is the one thing about this game that makes me hate playing it on my iphone xr the only platform i have to play it on. chaining :( i've tried your tips and in the wind dummy i can pull it off but for some reason in actuall challenges it breaks in 50's or 60's when trying an AR-SR-SR chain to hit 100+ chains.
I’m confused . I never had trouble chaining with my phone. Do people just don’t understand the mechanics or just won’t try to click at same time when complaining about it. Either way, glad to see you helping the community Claic 😊
They really need to just add something in the game that allows you to start attacks at the exact same time. I find it very difficult to spark chain at a high rate and I usually do what you're doing. It sucks that being optimal requires a third party app.
I feel sorry for those that never figured this out until now. And even sadder that he had to make a video about it. Anyways hopefully some people will learn something.
Unfortunately, my phone doesn't register the two taps if they are performed that quickly together (even games that want me to do repeated taps wont register them sometimes. I tried the whole "press the second when your finger is off the screen", which still isnt enough.
All I do is hover one thumb above the second chainer, then quick tap the first, so the second tap becomes almost an involuntary reflex. I've only ever played ffbe with my phone. And to this day I have no idea what the issue with cwa is 🙄
Forgot to mention, but this actually helped me clear that mission yesterday lol Spoiler: 10K 11 Summon is coming again, Time to do a ton of story missions again!
Wasn't possible for me on Note 8 without lowering the frame rate down to barely playable. Part of the problem is me myself and its not something that can be simply solved via how fast or slow I tap the screen, normally the Note series doesn't give me too many issues, unlike all other tablets and phones. Some sites refer to it as zombie touch, but touch capacitive devices don't register my taps correctly if at all. Like I'll be at work holding a work issued device and it'll randomly jump into other programs without even touching the screen, and when I do want/need to use an app or input anything on anything except the note series (actually tried ipad/phone at verizon) can't get them to work without a stylus. So sadly I'll have to either stick with the chain families that don't give me issues, or switch to emulator/garbage frame rates for CWA or worse familes.
On Android, I used some Auto Clicker Overlay app from the store which simultaniously tapped the stuff I wanted, making it easy for any Android device probably :P couldn't pull it off without, probably fault of the device or I'm just too stupid, probably the later :P
And that is how Claic started his career as a hand model
LOL
Heheh,classic!

Ayyy. I literally got 64 chain and thought maybe having to throw in the stardust ray to match it
Oh I posted this bfor I watched the whole video 😜 lag device helps
On Android, I used some Auto Clicker Overlay app from the store which simultaniously tapped the stuff I wanted, making it easy for any Android device probably :P couldn't pull it off without, probably fault of the device or I'm just too stupid, probably the later :P
Chainmaster Claic!!!
