- NOTE: I am not responsible for any problems/damage you may run into. The video serves as a guide for the process that I took for the install.
No fancy music or editing here. Filming the install took way longer than expected.... So happy with the results though! Let me know if you have any questions/comments/concerns!
Big thanks to Ryan Quinn and Peter MacDonald from the GT86 Drift Club for providing pictures/tips from their installs!

Best tutorial ive seen on youtube. Keep up the videos ! Learning a lot just from watching this. Thanks dude!
8:00 Is your Tomei Header missing a bolt (left side)?
Good job!! Good video as always!
+sebastien theriault thanks :) cranked this vid out for you my man!
hahaha "thought I was going to be done sooner" I'd be rich if I had a dollar every time I said that working on my cars
+FRSPanda the struggle! haha
awesome video
nice work.
DAMN DAT TANK!
HI Alan, how wide are the spacers you run with the PBM angle kit?
Awesome video, always so detailed!
Did you have any trouble disconnecting your oem outer tie rod end from the knuckle when you swapped them out?
+Sunny Chen yeah they were kinda of a pain in the butt to get off haha
Hey man been watching your vids for a while!
Just wanted to ask you how are the PBM coils holding up? Cant decide between PBM or stance super sports
And beginning of this vid i saw you didnt have the front end links on
Are you running no front sway bars? I was told these cars like the FC are more tail happy without the front sways
I bought the PBM coils used and theyre doing great so far. Id definitely go with PBM because I had stance before. They rode alot stiffer and didnt feel like they had the adjustability that PBM does. the car is definitely more tail happy without the swaybar, which I had removed before this video :)
Hey I am running pretty much the same setup as your old setup got a question regarding your knuckle mod that you did. How did you decide where to drill and mill the new rod end location? Did you just do it so that your steering rod was ''parallel'' to the control arm or you got it machined exactly at some place (lets say 40mm away on the same axis.)
Thanks !
+Eric Bélanger i bought the knuckle that way. It was modded by an ex-FD driver and I dont know how he did it... But it worked, and it was awesome!
I LIKE THAT...
is it required to use the pbm coils with this angle kit? friend is installing this kit and it having trouble adjusting camber and tow
Jaclyn Gonzales it's not
Hey, man, just found your amazing channel and subbed it! very cool!
One question:
You run without sway bar? I notice a lot of people run without them in drifting, what do you think about that, and how does your car behave?
Cheers from Portugal!
+XikoDS yeah man I ran my car without the sway bar for awhile..... I reinstalled it only because the PBM angle kit attaches the sway bar to the LCA which keeps the car from binding on full lock. I'd recommend it, the car didnt really feel much different! However, if you do remove it, I'd def make sure you increase the spring rates on the front of the car. I am running 8k f 6k r.
How many threads did you leave in for maxed out track width ?
Ooof this was a looong time ago but I think I had about 5-6 threads
Hi, do you mind to share the size of tires that you are using with this angle kit? I just got mine few days ago, but yet to install it. Thanks!
+Jeffrey Lim 215/45/17 on a 17x9 +35 wheel. I still get rubbing on the inner barrel of the wheel. A lower offset wheel would work better. I've adjusted track width out as much as possible, and im running 23 mm worth of spacer.
+AMBush Drift Thanks!
That's huge spacer!
Besides, does the tire hit the fender arch?
BLUE BALLED!!!!!!!! But nice video. Will you still run your spacers?
+SkidmarX-scion86 haha sorry bout that ;) and yeah, im currently still running some spacers just because of some clearance issues with 17x9 +30 wheels :/
Your voice and video seems fammiliar chrisfix
Just curious, but why are you not running a sway bar?
+Jeff Gray i was binding on the sway bar endlinks which was limiting the amount of angle I could get out of the car, so I decided to remove it. it's back in the car now though. lots of drifters do the same thing and I'd recommend it.
I didn't know that but it makes perfect sense
Where did you buy the kit???
partshopmax.com :)
The tension rod adjustment adjusts caster
+Drift Doctor ahh true, makes sense
JB Weld might work
hey u r qt3.14
I hate you... I want this so bad.
+Kyu1LL it's sooo worth saving up for!
Yeah I know the guys at PBM and was in their car when they were testing the prototype of this kit at All Star Bash. I have their knuckles on my dedicated drift SC but I want this and their soon to be released dual caliper kit for the FRS so bad but i'm broke lol
You could just use a hammer to pop the tie rod end
+895takashi but then you risk damaging the threads :/
I don't understand the point of removing the sway bar
You won’t bind on the sway bar, and you get a little bit of extra lock from it.
@@ambushdrift can you use the angle kit with other coilovers, bc racing coils specifically
Yes you can!
@@ambushdrift would you recommend the pbm rear lca or does the rear one matter, currently running megan racing ones
Hub.. It's a hub 😬 knuckle
+Doplow lol ooops, I know the difference but I mightve slipped up throughout the video
I'm from Philippines, If I buy that kit then one of their spacers cracked. 🙄
Good bye Earth.
