I installed that last year on my brz along with reverse camera and subwoofer. Didn't need to splice any cables. I'd recommend setting the device to have a delay before turning off (just in case of that rare stall) and there's an option to set the starting volume level. Default was 16, I set mine to 6
thanks for the suggestion 🔥 going to do all of those setting changes right now. Is there a subwoofer you would recommend? I am contemplating getting a smaller one for this car
@@cheex9861 yeah literally plug and play, just had to route the mic and the apple car play usb cables (extras). Wired them through the glovebox cause I wanted a cleaner look but that’s totally optional. Mic i wired up top but hidden so it looks cleaner. Will show it in the next vid🙏🏽
Noticed today that the AMP was not connected so sound quality wasn't great so I had to tap the AMP wire that comes with the IDoing kit into the AMP wire which is part of the regular harness. Was superrr easy to do tbh and only took me 5 mins and now it sounds much better. Ill attach a video in the description of exactly what I am talking about and Ill explain a lil more in the next video! Just wanted to update you
on this i did not have to pay any duties, but i also ordered another headunit for a different car which i had to pay duties for (was like $27 CAD). So hopefully you’re good but worst case expect something from $20-30 to be sure 👍🏽
Maybe very slightly but im so used to it that it doesn’t really matter. I think in the video it was the initial startup as well so it was getting used to it 🔥 def worth the upgrade!

@ARHAMALVI I just got the 10" oem subaru one, was plug and play which made it easy to install and it was a good price

Did you end up paying duty on top of the purchase pricing to ship into Canada, or did you ship to the US and pick it up from there?
